Apparitions is a compilation of five short stories and 25 poems by Patrick G. Labelle, written between 1988 and 1996, during his adolescence and early adulthood. Tackling a wide breadth of subjects and genres ranging from horror and fantasy to love and loss, they provide a glimpse into the mind of a young, aspiring writer finding his way – and his voice. A foreword by Labelle provides context and further insight into these early years.

Patrick G. Labelle is also the author of Fountain of Shadows, the first novel in the Chronicles of Khaar dark fantasy series.

About the author

Patrick G. Labelle lives in Ontario, Canada. He holds a B.A. (Hons.) in History and English Literature from Trent University. He has won and been published in poetry anthologies and short story writing contests. The characters and story of Fountain of Shadows, his first novel, have been roaming his imagination and keyboard for decades, and have been a labour of love. In his spare time, he enjoys playing guitar, writing songs, as well as spending time with his children and two miniature schnauzers, Jasper and Leia.
