Silence of The Nine 2: Let There Be Blood

Rate this book
No longer a prisoner under the stairs, Nine Prophet attempts to fashion the perfect lifestyle to the world-a loving wife, a devoted husband, a well-mannered baby and a beautiful home. The trouble is in reality she's married to her cousin, has a nephew for a son and is hosting Noel and Samantha's wedding, who happen to be brother and sister. Only a year since she's been free, she quickly learns that the incestuous rituals bestowed upon the family by the patriarch Kerrick Prophet were the least of their troubles. Jealousy, lies, curses and even revenge run rampant as Nine struggles with reality while still clinging to the tales of the Roman stories she was accustomed to during her darkest days. Still, she holds onto the hope that their family will endure but she forgot about one loose end- her bitter cousin Alice. Silence of the Nine 2 holds no punches. It delves deep into a taboo world that may offend some but entertain all. Be warned.

And Blood There Was!

As a loyal and trusted Twisted Baby, I was disappointed with this novel. The former novel to this series is everything. In the previous novel, Mama T. raised the bar with the incest storyline and Nine was definitely a character that I fell in love with, but within the first 30% of this book, Mama T. took the incest to a whole 'nother level that seemed forced and unnecessary. Put frankly, I wasn't here for the first 40% or 50% of the book, but since I adore Mama Twisty like no other, I kept chugging like the Little Engine That Could. Also, I want the note that editing seemed a little nonexistent while reading.

The second half of the novel was much better. The incest toned down and became bearable like it was in the first novel. The pace and tension of the novel picked up, and I began swiping the pages of my Kindle in desperation and interest to get to the end. There were some predictable moments, but there were also some twists that had me excited.

I love the character development between Nine and Leaf's relationship. I honestly didn't care for any other character other than Chipo, Isabel, and I fell for Antonious (whom I hope will have more of a storyline in book three.)

Having faith in Mama Twisty, I will be down to read the third novel in this series, and I can't wait to see how some of the new and old characters will try to give Nine Prophet hell.

Where do I even start with my review? Part 2 of Silence of Nine was SO good! Nine was like a god in this book. This story definitely took me on a wild ride and I enjoyed every bit of it.

Nine is definitely her grandfather's child. He created a monster. Nine was a force to be reckoned with and anyone who crossed her truly had a death wish. T. Styles created a story so twisted and crazy that you will be glued to the pages every chance you get I promise. Alice and Isabel were something. Two crazy nuts.

I can't wait to read part three!!!!!!!! Five stars was not enough to rate this book!

Mind Blowing

I felt every single emotion one could feel while reading this book. I felt the love of Nine and Leaf. I felt the hatred Alice felt for Nine. I felt the wrath of Nine for those who crossed her path. I feel like I need an anxiety pill, my nerves are so discombobulated! T. Styles continues to pull her readers into her web, keep them captive the entire book and then leave them wanting more. I cannot wait to read the next story she is working on!

T Styles has done it again

First of let me say T Styles is one of my favorite authors. This was a great follow up to the first book. I loved how we got to know Nine deeper. This book took you on a wild and crazy ride. There were plenty of moments that let my mouth opened and I love how each character was tied together. The ending was GREAT!!!!! Please let there be a third book!!

Good Follow up, but....

This was a good follow up but at the same time it wasn't as exciting and interesting as the first book. I love T. Styles so I will always support her, but she's need to come back with some fire in part 3 of this series. The ending was the most interesting part of the book and it was the last page.

Let there be blood

In this follow up, there was a whole lot of blood being shed. A few mirrors were held up to show folks exactly who they are. The pages get wilder as it weaves in intricacies from the first book.

Definitely Back!

Ok, ok. So I read Silence of The Nine and I needed to know how Nine’s life turns out. Yeah, I’m definitely back T. Styles and I’m hooked. I thought that life couldn’t get any crazier for the Prophet family, but you did it! I was like, Nine better watch that person and when is she going to take care of that situation. I wanted to pull Nine out of the book and hug her sometimes and other times shake her to see what comes loose. T. Styles had me reading during my lunch break at work. I haven’t done that in awhile. I can’t wait to read Part 3. The madness continues!

It may be just me, but I genuinely don’t see the chemistry or love between Nine & Leaf. Like I genuinely don’t think Nine loves Leaf like he loves her. I think they just got used to each other because of how they met and just chose to stick with each other. She doesn’t respect Leaf as her husband and I think it’s because of the power that basically transferred from her grandfather to her. I’m still rooting for Nine because she had a traumatic childhood. I want to see her win but I can’t say I agree with all of her actions 😅

This must stop!

Seriously this must stop I have things to do other than read the books of Nine Prophet. I cannot put them down the story just sucks you in and nothing else matters. I'm on to Book3 which will be free for me since I'm a member of Kindle Unlimited but having to buy the first 2 books(which were very inexpensive) were worth every dime!

Nine is trying to go legit but things keep getting in the way. Especially her family. Then, she seems to be having random psychotic breakdowns & family secrets are not so secret anymore. One problem after the other arises...will she be able to solve them all?

This sequel to Silence of the Nine further proves that T. Styles is a literary genius. The Prophets are back and the craziness has been bumped up a notch, but this time they're at war…internally and externally. Who will come out on top? You have to read this masterpiece in order to find out!

Nine.....

I always liked Nine and now I know why... Even though she was in a dark place, she always saw light at the end of the tunnel. This book was very deep just like the first one. I can't wait until part three.
