Raphael is new in town. He is rich, handsome and oh yah, a vampire.
From the first time he lays eyes on Katie, Raphael knows she is his on true love, and he will not stop until she has fallen in love with him.
For me, this book was a quick read, but it had everything I was expecting. Love at first sight, protective alpha male character, steamy hot bedroom scenes and a happy ending.
So if you are looking for a fastburning paranormal romance, this is the book for you.

I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.
Katie was in dire straits, she had lost her family’s farm and was now the sole carer for her younger sister and what she desperately needed was a job that paid well so when she scores an interview for a maid at the mansion on the outskirts of Carlisle she is determined to get that job, however things go drastically wrong from the moment that the door opens, what greets her is a man you only find in your dreams, and as much as she wants to deny her attraction to him she knows she can’t, so when she leaves the interview without the job she never expects to see Raphael Darrington again only for him to appear when she needs him the most. Only Raphael isn’t like any man she has ever met and when she discovers his secret will she choose love or life?
Raphael Darrington and his younger sister are not your average neigbours, they have a deep dark secret that is century’s old. Moving to Carlisle Raphael had no idea what had drawn him to the town however on the night he opens his front door and finds his soulmate standing there. There is one big problem though he is a vampire, and she is a human. Can he get the woman who was made for him look past what he is and see what they could be, or will his possessive behavior push her away forever?
Ms. Blake has written a super steamy and sweet paranormal romance. Katie is no pushover when it comes to Raphael and as much as she wants him, she will still fight him all the way. Really enjoyed this book but I have enjoyed all of this authors work so far. 4.2* Read

Meeting Katie for an interview, Raphael knew instantly she was his fated mate which shocks him completely.
His behaviour after this is absolutely awful and Katie rightfully runs.
He takes it upon himself to interfere and stalk her but only for her own good.
Raphael knows that his secret will cause her to never fall in love with him willingly.
Her body may react to him but her heart cannot feel the same instantly.
Raphael will do anything to convince his mate that she is his eternity and his love is true.
Will she see another side to this man she originally thought to be a monster?
I really liked this story which had moments of drama, frustration, lust, attraction and his unconditional true love.
I am a sucker for a heartfelt vampire romance... No pun intended.
He tries so hard to convince her of his warmth and heart that I pretty much fell for the man myself.
Perhaps it is very over the top and her reactions are somewhat childish but I understood the feeling behind it.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. This is a fast paced, paranormal romance with humor and steam. Raphael is a vampire who has recently moved to town. Imagine his surprise when after centuries, his mate shows up at his home for employment. Katie needs this job but things are not going her way from the first moment. He is a really rude and inconsiderate to her at first, but in fact he was shocked. She believes the worst of him and tries to carry on with her life. He finds that now he has to find a way to convince Katie to give him a chance. Things get complicated even more when she learns that he is a vampire. She learns fast that she holds his dead heart in her hands. I thought it was a good story.

Vampire, Raphael, has just arrived in town. When he meets Katie for an interview, he knows immediately that she is his fated mate. Shocked and unable to control his behavior, Katie runs away and Raphael stalks her to keep her safe. This is a short read but full of steam and a HEA.
