Madame Abby does a tarot reading for Kylie and sees that she’s the soulmate of the demon pair Radic and Tinral. She arranges for Kylie to bat-sit for the demons’ neighbor and hurries to arrange a watch-party because matchmaking is extra fun when she gets to watch it get hot with friends on her crystal ball…
What to A nosy mysticA disconcerting auraA spoiled batA perfectly timed watch-party A Demon Sandwich is a short, steamy read. Each story of the Mystical Matchmaker series can be read as a standalone, but why settle for one?
Day S. Grant is an indie paranormal romance author who is dedicated to exploring "the other." Her studies centered on how people are "othered" and set apart - often through languages and culture, but through a myriad of other ways as well. In her books she takes these "others" and makes it clear that being different isn't a bad thing; it's often a strength.
Just no. While half of the book is a fairly standard paranormal romance, following a human and two demons falling in love, the other half follows the psychic who sets them up, throwing a viewing party of them having sex. This is not something they are aware of, but is apparently something Madame Abby does a lot, with all of the people she matchmakes. People who personally knows the victims even goes to this party and never mentions it to the people beeing watched. It is such a horrible invasion of privacy, but is in no way framed as such in the book.
For this being so short, it’s surprisingly good. I find these super short novellas are usually all spice with no plot, but y’all this had plot!! The spice was good too but a matchmaker putting together two bonded demons and a human is too good to not have a good plot line. This was funny and cute and an easy read.
This was absolutely hilarious. There is spice, there are demons, and there is a nosy matchmaker setting up a watch party for a mating bond. Madame Abby's narration was so entertaining and such a good hustle.
After visiting a tarot card reader on a dare, Kylie quits her job and becomes a temporary secretary and house sitter. Little does she know that Madame Abby sent her there for the purpose of meeting her soul mates, but also for the opportunity to host a watch party for the inevitable lusty fireworks.
The MCs are pretty flat outside of insta-lust, but they are barely considered the main characters since Madame Abby is the one pulling the strings. This is a great spicy read perfect for Halloween season.

This is the second book I’ve read of Day S Grant, and I must say I really like her writing.
This book is the first in the Mystical Matchmaker series, and although a short story that could have gone longer for me because I really liked the mane characters to experience more of their story together, it was entertaining and a great base for more stories to come. I really liked the concept of the demons and how they function, and can only hope that the author will go more in depth into it in her next book in this series. The story was funny, steamy and hot but in a clean way. It was easy and fun to read. Can’t wait to see what comes next!
In full disclosure, I received an advance review copy for free, and as always I am leaving this review voluntarily and in complete honesty.
A Demon Sandwich is a delightful book. It’s the first in the Mystical Matchmakers series by Day S. Grant. The title caught me first—it took my imagination into all kinds of happy little adventures. I loved the humor and wordplay. The spicy scenes were extremely well written. Kylie is the human female, Radic and Tinral are her demon soulmates, and Madame Abby is the matchmaker who brings them together. I learned some things about demons that I didn’t know, and I loved the way Kylie turned so many comments into double entendres—lots of fun! Go get this book. It’s a great read!
Cute novella! There are some really cute and unique details to this story - watch party through a crystal ball was chef's kiss! 💋 There's some real storyline here; more than I expected out of 70 pages.
That being said some of the world building explanations were a little clunky. (I get it, seriously I do... part of novellas is trying to do a lot with a little bit they did make me go 'huh?' and I wanted to leave an honest review). Like the watch party viewers, I would absolutely have read more smut.
Great fun little read. Definitely recommend!

A quick steamy novella, where Kylie follows the advice of Madame Abby, a medium.
Kylie house/pet sits for Markus, who also arranges a job interview for her, friends who are looking for a secretary, not knowing that they are demons, but also her soulmates.
Tin and Rad can't believe who has just walked into the interview; she has them all of a tizzy, and her smell is intoxicating.
A fun, witty, quick read.

Whooha, acting on a dare our heroine goes to a fortune teller for a reading. The cards tell her one thing, but the fortune teller tells her to take a leave of absense from work and herds her into the arms of her soulmates.
Yep, plural/demonic and very in sinc with each other.
And the fortune teller? She organises an evening watching everything unfold…

This was my first time reading a book by Day. S. Grant and I'll definitely be reading more now! I love the idea of Madame Abby being both a fortune teller and a matchmaker. This was a shorter story but a slowburn as well in a sense. The tension between Kylie and Radic and Tinral was intense but definitely worth the wait. The idea of the watch party seriously cracked me up too! I would love to read more matchmaking stories with Madame Abby!
I really enjoyed this book! The characters were fun and engaging, and there was definitely plenty of spark between Kylie, Rad, and Tin. My only wish is that it had been a bit longer with more depth to the storyline. I usually lean toward cozy mysteries, so I found myself wanting a bit more plot development — but overall, it was an entertaining read.

This was a quick short read. At the same time, it has the potential to be longer than what it’s meant to be. I wish there were more spicy scenes but, oh well. Nevertheless, it was a really good story that will surely leave anyone wanting more.

Ok ok ok, this was a fun quick read! I really loved Madam Abby haha I would love to dive Draper into their relationship, but it was meant to be a quick read and it did its job! I was intrigued throughout this fun book!
A delightful snack of a story! I enjoyed the setup with a voyeuristic matchmaker, an angel-adopted human, and a pair of demon brothers. Excellent chemistry and sexual tension. Some laughs thrown in there too!
This was such a fun read! I love how the author was able to weave in so much backstory and world building while still keeping the focus on the soulmate plot. I hope we see more from Madam Abby and crew in the future—especially Radic, Tinral, and Kylie!
This is the first book I've read from the author and I wasn't disappointed. It was very comical and also very very cute! I love the concept as it's fairly different from usual demon books. I like that it was made to be entertaining while also kind of sweet!
A Demon Sandwich was a quick, fun read. The characters were intriguing and caught my attention immediately. I wanted to see what happened. I loved the watch party. That was a fun bit of voyeurism. I think this could turn into a fun little series of paranormal matchmaking.
