My favorites were:

A Paris Evening
- I remember feeling like this, walking through New York City, with an abundance of life around me, and yet with an effluent of an inner world and story playing itself out. I loved the food descriptions too. Aspic!

The Death of Fred Snodgrass
- This is the poem that got me into this book. I physically copied it onto our whiteboard at work, and it always makes me giggle a bit. A great example of tasteful swearing in literature!

Estival
- Encapsulates the feeling of young childhood/girlhood!

I didn't know that the actress had a leg amputated but this is an apt title for this collection of poems with titles like "The Poem Called Hot Dog, You Bet" .
Don't know how to describe Kirby's writing style but I think Tom Waits would like him.
