One surprise pregnancy. One billionaire landlord. One coin-operated miracle of a love story.
Jamie Vale’s life is held together with quarters, caffeine, and sheer stubbornness. He’s doing fine—really—juggling late-night laundry shifts, his kid brother’s medical bills, and the secret he’s just found out he’s carrying. (A baby. There’s a baby.)
The problem? Said baby belongs to Theo King. As crisp-suited, spreadsheet-loving, heir-to-the-block Theo King. The guy who definitely wasn’t supposed to show up for the ultrasound. Or buy prenatal books. Or fix the vending machine. Or smile like that at Jamie’s belly.
But when Theo chooses the baby over billion-dollar meetings—and chooses Jamie again and again, even when it’s messy, even when it’s hard—Jamie starts to believe this might not be a disaster after all. It might just be a beginning.
surprise baby snuggles, community newsletter drama, one (1) cursed power outage hookup, meddling neighbors with hearts of gold, and the softest, fiercest kind of love—the kind that stays.
For readers who believe in cozy kisses, grumpy-sunshine parenting duos, and the radical magic of being chosen exactly as you are. Not omegaverse but there are alpha and omega.

This felt..... weird. I picked this up in KU mostly because the cover jumped out at me. I took a good look at it the next morning and a few chapters in and decided it was most likely AI, which is super disappointing.
There was a lot repeated. Similar phrases used. Most of the sex scenes are copy and paste movements and actions. Literaly, there's an entire paragraph in chapters 4 and 15 that are the exact same.
"Theo's rhythm faltered as he reached between us, his fingers finding the sensitive bundle of nerves that made me gasp. "Together," he murmured against my ear. "I want to feel you.""
This paragraph stood out to me the first time because I was confused. I thought this was m/m? Usually, "bundle of nerves" is reserved for certain female parts. [Maybe I'm wrong in this?] Did I miss a statement that this character was trans? What was going on? 🤷🏼♀️ Did the author originally write this to be m/f, then just switch Jamie to be male partway through writing?
Also, I get labeling this as a non-shifter book. But they literally use the omega classification in this book, so calling it non-omegaverse felt a bit incorrect. Yes, there wasn't any mating bonds or heats, but.... 🤷🏼♀️
Anyways, the sex scenes were meh. There was no interaction between a kiss and sex. The storyline was fine but fell super flat.
This is a sweet story with characters who are very thoughtful in the development of their relationship. Although there are misunderstandings, it is very low angst. My only negatives are it needs some polishing. There are sentences and phrases that are repeated verbatim in close proximity to each other. Made me think I had somehow scrolled back without realizing. In some places, the time zones just didn’t make sense. Just little things. Overall, the writing was well executed and the plot well done.
I first I thought this author wrote another book I had just finished reading because honestly, the writing style gave me the same annoyed vibe as the other one. They just kept repeating themselves, and over-explaining things that should have been kept subtle. Also, I really hated what's-his-name...the pregnant guy. He was so annoying holy shit. I guess I wasn't invested in his issues, and that's why I thought he was being dramatic?
This was a great read - I love the main characters - two different type of nerds finding each other & creating a family in th midst of miscommunication and family betrayal - but love wins out and you get your baby & HEA Thank you - Lori
This book was legit one of the worst books I have ever read. This is 100% AI and the author that released this didn’t even have the decency to read it before releasing this. This book is all over the place one minute they are on a table the other they are in a couch, then back to the table. I only made it 20% and will not recommend.
