Edge‑of‑your‑seat dark romance that hooked me from page one!
An absolutely amazing read! From the first page, Duchess had me drawn into a dark, addictive world—beautifully twisted and irresistibly intense. The plot twists kept me on the edge of my seat, and the chemistry between the characters hit all the right notes: passionate, complicated, and deeply compelling.
If you love a dark, thrilling romance with heart‑pounding tension and deeply realistic characters, this is one you’ll devour. Highly recommend!!

I really enjoyed this book and was sucked in almost instantly which doesn’t always happen as an avid reader. I loved the characters and the unexpected twists this book had!

“Duchess” is the kind of book that wraps around your heart and doesn’t let go.
Kate Ziedman writes with such grace and power the story is rich with emotion, quiet strength, and unforgettable moments. The Duchess is a character I won’t forget anytime soon: poised, layered, and deeply human. Every chapter felt like peeling back history and womanhood at the same time. Beautifully written and emotionally resonant this book is a treasure.

“Duchess” gave me chills in the best way. It’s dramatic, classy, and quietly powerful. Kate Ziedman doesn’t just tell a story she builds a world that feels real and raw. I devoured this in one sitting and already want to reread it with a highlighter. 10/10 would recommend.

Duchess is a wild ride filled with intensity, suspense, and emotion. Kate Ziedman’s writing style is smooth, sharp, and deeply immersive. Duchess is not an easy read, and it’s not supposed to be. The trigger warning is there for good reason: this story dives deep into trauma, manipulation, and violence. But what made it so powerful for me was how it didn’t glorify any of it. Instead, it’s about enduring, resisting, and reclaiming control. Davianna’s voice is fierce and vulnerable all at once, and Diesel’s complexity brought balance. The emotional payoff? Absolutely worth it.

The first half of the book was entertaining. The pacing was quick, and the characters build relationships, both romantic and platonic at a breakneck speed. The second half of the book had a lot of disturbing SA that made it hard to read. Some explicit moments were awkward and gave me the ick so badly that I almost DNFd it. The pacing slowed down in the later half which made the book feel endless. There were a lot of distracting typos throughout the book.
