Had the potential to be fun as a Southwest/Texan Supernatural, but the narration disappears completely up its own ass and the "lore" set-up for future arcs doesn't inspire. Probably won't be reading anymore of this one.

I enjoyed this a lot more than I honestly expected to given the reviews here. It’s an intriguing concept with a glimpse into a world worth exploring further, the story is well told, and the artwork matches the tone of the book just great. I hope the creators decide to make more of these!

This is more of a 3.5 rather than 3. I love how different folk lore from parts of the world play their part in this heartland thriller. Some more time spent with the characters back story and his motivations would have made this into a solid 4.
