Dovid and Sara Build a Robot

Rate this book
Dovid and Sara return from their trip to Mars to find the donuts and build a Robot.

Watch as they build the Robot and teach it how to interact with other people, complete tasks, help people when they need help, and play with friends. They, as well as their friends, also learn that having the Robot do all of the good deeds and tasks leaves them just watching and not participating in improving the world and helping others.

This is a fantastic book that teaches the importance of helping others, noticing what's going on around us, and generally being friendly and helpful to everyone, no matter what they look like or how they dress.

Book Review: Dovid and Sara Build a Robot (Third Edition) by Yerachmiel Bruchya Altman

In Dovid and Sara Build a Robot, Yerachmiel Bruchya Altman delivers another heartwarming and imaginative adventure with the sibling duo. After their journey to Mars, Dovid and Sara take on an exciting new project—building a robot. What begins as a fun experiment in creativity quickly becomes a thoughtful lesson about kindness, responsibility, and the importance of taking action ourselves rather than leaving it all to technology.

Through the children’s journey of teaching the robot how to interact, play, and help, young readers discover a deeper truth: real change and goodness come from people actively engaging with their world. The story emphasizes empathy, awareness, and inclusivity, encouraging kids to be helpful and friendly regardless of differences in appearance or background.

Altman’s storytelling combines fun, imagination, and meaningful values, making this book both entertaining and impactful. It’s a wonderful read for children, parents, and educators who want to inspire kids to not only dream big but also to be kind, proactive, and compassionate in everyday life.

Dovid and Sara Build a Robot by Yerachmiel B. Altman is a beautiful story about two siblings, Dovid and Sara, who never fail to inspire with their curiosity and kindness. After their exciting trip to Mars, they come back full of energy and decide to build a robot. At first, their creation feels like a dream come true the robot can play, help others, and do many good things. But soon, Dovid and Sara realize that if the robot keeps doing everything, they and their friends are not really learning or helping.

I loved how Dovid and Sara are shown as curious, kind, and thoughtful children. Their excitement about building the robot felt so real, and the way they taught the robot to be friendly and helpful was fun to read. What really stood out was their realization that true goodness comes when we take action, not just when someone or something else does it for us. This part of the story really connected with me, because it reminded me that being kind and helpful is something we should all do ourselves.

The story is simple but full of meaning. It teaches children that they can make a difference by helping and noticing what is happening around them. The colorful illustrations make the book even more engaging, and you can almost feel Dovid and Sara’s joy, laughter, and even their thoughtful moments. I especially loved how the book shows teamwork, friendship, and learning from experiences.

I would strongly recommend Dovid and Sara Build a Robot to children and parents. Dovid and Sara are such lovable characters, and their journey will inspire kids to take action and be more involved in doing good deeds. This book is a perfect mix of fun and life lessons, making it a great read for families who want stories that both entertain and teach important values.

This book is a wonderful addition to the Dovid and Sara’s Adventures series. The siblings take on an exciting home project—building their own robot. The story is fun, imaginative, and filled with valuable little lessons.

Kids can easily follow the robot-building process, making it both entertaining and inspiring for young inventors.

The robot is more than just a machine—it’s a way to explore themes of kindness and empathy. The siblings cut out a big red paper heart and place it in the robot's chest before sealing it, ensuring it won’t be heartless. The scenes where they teach the robot good manners are both adorable and creative.

The writing strikes the perfect balance of humor and heart, keeping kids engaged from beginning to end.

Overall, this book is a delightful and imaginative read that encourages problem-solving, teamwork, and creativity. It’s an excellent choice for curious kids who love building, dreaming, and embarking on adventures with relatable characters.

The pictures were really colorful and made the story even better. Some parts made me laugh, and some parts made me feel warm and happy inside. It was easy to understand, but still full of surprises.
