Postcards From Sturgis: A Collaborative Of The Freak Circle Press

Rate this book
Way back in June 2014, Susan Fanetti took part in a Q&A in the Gotta Have Romance with a Kick group on GoodReads. One of the people taking part submitted a question asking if the Night Horde from Signal Bend would ever cross paths with the Mountain Skulls from Tippitt (Elayne DiSano). So you can all blame Irene Oust for the craziness that ensued because once Susan told us about this we all got a little bit giddy, and a lot carried away, and we all shouldered our way in.

And what happened when these guys bumped into each other? Well, what didn’t happen…

There was some action in a bare knuckle boxing tournament.

A few of them ended up discussing the, erm, intricacies of some of the work they do for their clubs.

Violet, tattoo artist extraordinaire and old lady of Mac of the Marauders MC, got her ink on.

The Tech officers got their geek on.

A couple of the other old ladies tagged along and bumped into each other.

…and Houdini (the Vikings MC) got a surprise visit from his younger sister…

Among other things.

The moral of the story? Be careful what you wish for!

Lina Andersson was born and raised as far up north as you can go in Sweden. The long, dark winters were made for reading and writing, which is pretty much all she ever did. In her early twenties, she packed up her husband and son and moved to the slightly warmer climate of southern Sweden, where they still live, more than a decade later. When she's not writing, she's an avid gamer and film geek.

I have read every FCP series with the exception of the Center City series and now I'm reading them. If you have read any book in the series included in this collection, you should read this. It is amazing to see and realize the team effort of the FCP authors in writing such an excellent story that brings together all of the players from their series. I felt like I was at a family reunion happy to see some of the attendees and wondering where the hell the others came from. I have praised the FCP authors in every review for their ability to draw me into their characters whether they are good or evil. Lilly will forever be the bad ass woman you wish you could be. We see the soft side of these bad asses and we see the really hard side. To me, the book shows the real under belly of Sturgis and what could happen there. Lots of grit and darkness but a lot of love too. I absolutely loved this book. Again my hat's off to a group of fantastic authors who worked together as a team and again gave me a five star read. I would give this collection more than 5 stars if I could.

Loved this! What an awesome concept to do a collaborative this way. Very Unique! Thanks to the fan who put the bug in the ears of the ladies from Freak Circle Press. There were only 2 MC's that I haven't read about previously. I have all the ebooks but haven't gotten to them yet, but this has given me the incentive to get right on that! Also, reading about characters that I've loved and read the books so long ago has also sparked me into perhaps reading them once again. There were some disturbing elements but its all part and parcel of "this way of life".

Before I start any semblance of a review I just want to state that I only read the portions that had to do with the Marauders.

It was fun to see Violet in her tattooing element and I always love watching her interact with clients and her husband Mac. So that was fun to read and that little quickie with her and Mac at the end was hot, but the rest was kind of boring and Bear got on my nerves several times. It wasn't an amazing read but it was a fun little update.
