I am a BIG fan of the Dummies series.I own 10 of them and have probably read twice that, but this one was definitely for beginners and not for me this far into my journey. Great reference and helpful links to more reference resources.
Very informative. Great starter book on antiquing. Mentions lots of other books and periodicals for more detail on specific subjects within the antiquing world.
This is a good general information book on antiques. It covers identification, price, where to find, and how to care for a wide variety of antiques. I read this not out of an interest in antiques, but because I do professional repair and refinishing of things that may be close to antique age, if not actual antiques. I recommend the book to anyone who likes antiques, or who just likes to go to yard sales, thrift stores, or "junk" places. You might come upon a really good piece that you would have previously passed up.
