I love a dark MC romance. This one was fun to read. The story was fast paced and I liked the overall plot. But it didn't sucked me in like I tought it would.

Really enjoyed meeting the Knight Hawks MC! There are some real funny characters there and stories that were hinted at… which I can’t wait for 😁 Tex and Carly’s love story was sweet…with some sass and spice added in for good measure 😉

Without spoiling the twists, the revelation of the setup shatters his world, forcing him to confront what little soul he has left, a fierce protectiveness that evolves into something deeper, more dangerous…. love.

The heroine, a sharp witted firecracker who’s no damsel, matches Tex’s intensity beat for beat, creating sparks that leap off the page. Their chemistry is electric, blending tender vulnerability with scorching heat.

The author doesn’t shy away from the violence or the moral gray areas…. I loved the cabin scenes in particular, they are tense and immersive, blending suspense with intimacy in a way that kept me on edge.

Pacing wise, the book hits the ground running and maintains momentum through action packed sequences and heartfelt revelations, though I did wish for a tad more development on some secondary club members to flesh out the world even further.

It’s got the bad boy redemption arc, steamy encounters, and club intrigue dialed up to eleven.

If you’re craving a story where “nothing left to lose” collides with “everything to gain,” Tex delivers in spades.

A strong start to what promises to be a great series from Kelly Lord.

Highly recommended for anyone who loves their romance with a side of danger.

Looking for your next enemies to lovers/forced proximity, then, you will want to check out this book. Besides these tropes, I am a sucker for an MC romance. This was a fairly quick read for me. I will say through that while I did like this book, I found that for me personally, I became more engaged in the story better once Tex had kidnapped Carly.

The reason the story picked up the energy is because of the sass. Carly is so sassy. I love her. She and Tex fed off each other. I could feel the sparks growing between them. Carly may not have been the "right" person, right then but Carly ended up being the "right" person for Tex!

Tex doesnt do socialising hes the enforcer for a reason but when he reveals hes taken the wrong person to his cabin and instead has Carly, the hijinx is about to begin! Well written engaging steamy funny desires, and more.

This is a beautifully written biker novel, with plenty of twists and turns.

The way this author has written the romance between Tex and Carly is delicous and amazingly done.
