The format of the Timothy Edition is similar, but not identical, to the Paul Edition (also available, but not included). Christians begin their faith with a few basic Jesus’ death makes me right with GodMy good works cannot save meSalvation is a gift of grace…and their understanding expands out of those core assumptions. The purpose of this devotional is to explore what makes these core beliefs function. Why does the death of a man, even the God-man, mean that I can be right with God? Why doesn’t the old system of sacrifices and rules function anymore?
This study explores the Old Covenants alongside the book of Romans to build depth into the core Christian beliefs, taking the believer beyond “because the Bible says so” into a functional, practical understanding of how their faith works and what is expected of them in response. Readers will examine multiple Scripture passages and answer guiding questions that will help lead them into a deeper understanding of their faith.
