And it lived long before humans were the dominant species on Earth.
It speaks in extinct dialects. Recites coordinates to ruins erased from every map. And it’s teaching her to unlock something older than legends and myth.
Beneath our feet, something ancient is stirring. Buried in stone. Whispered in dreams. Hidden in plain sight across the globe.
It has waited millennia for someone who can hear its signal.
That someone is Josephine.
But she’s not alone. Others have been listening. Some want her knowledge. Others want her dead.
Because the past wasn’t lost. It was forgotten.
And not everyone trying to stop her is human.
As ancient memories collide with modern conspiracy, one girl stands between awakening and annihilation.
The signal is growing louder. Scattered across the globe lie the ruins of memory, waiting to be unlocked.
This was a story I felt completely surrounded by. Everything added up, fit together, and kept my interest. I think Saru is such a great character and he/it? made me think about a lot of things. The whole story was interesting to me and I read it just before the second one came out so I was able to get that one right away. I'm awaiting the third one now. Recommend to those who enjoy sci-fi, technology, aliens, fantasy, different worlds, and likeable characters.
Not bad, not great. It took me forever to read this. I'd get bored and read something else. Read five or six books in between reading parts of this one. The last section of the book was exciting, the rest, not so much. Not sure I'll read the second one.
Ok so not a badly written book. But maybe some rewrites could have been done. Some obvious gaps that should have been addressed I think. But over all a good story I think.
So go ahead and take a chance. I don't think you will be disappointed.....
I’m a huge fan of this author…he has a lot of series out and none fail to deliver. This book was a great read and I can’t wait until the second book comes out.
