I don't blame Danica
What is a girl to do when the man she married, the once quite bench-warmer turns into a freaking phenom. Well, being quite might be the best solution for Danica, given what she knows about Mateo. I did not like Mateo, and Danica being complicit to his crime was unforgettable. 3.25 stars...

I had a review typed and refreshed like a goober and I’m not typing it again…in summary Matteo is a narcissist and psychopath and this wasn’t a romance. Not even a little bit. ETA: I was curious because the book was very off putting in the way it presented…I found the author’s IG and SHE promoted it as a domestic thriller…I think in that context and a lot more finesse I would have appreciated 🤔? It more. However BLP on their IG does not present the book that way nor does the authors note. I feel like letting the reading know it ain’t a romance upfront especially since every other book in is a romance and that is BLPs whole thing… would manage expectations because I actually would not have read it 😭😭

All about perception. What do you do when the opportunity presents itself and the person you married changes in concerning ways - Mateo and Danica were full of secrets and made moves to keep appearances. The situation surrounding DeAndre Pearson showed how the suspicious energy and not knowing the lengths the other person would go between Mateo and Danica. Danica was doing what she needed to do to protect herself and Mason. Mateo constructed the perfect scenario to make his dreams come true and keep up his image and comeback story to where he had to believe the lies. The real question is was the coach was involved in DeAndre’s incident.

Wow!!!
Book 6 of the BLP sports series was simply WOW!!! It was everything that I didn’t know I wanted in a sports romance book. It wasn’t your typical romance book, which made it so much better!
Mateo and Danica’s love story was different, they were already married and had to go through a grey area of their marriage with him being a semi pro basketball player and the political situations of going from a bench player to back in a starting lineup after an injury. The ending left me wanting more but I definitely recommend reading this book to all my sports romance friends!!

What did I just read.
I can’t put my finger on why this storyline rubbed me the wrong way. Mateo narrative started off as if he was set up, and then it became defensive. There is too much guilt and not enough truth. Danica, girl, you had the ability to stand tall and make bank. You let a narcissist manipulate you out of being free from the politics of sports propaganda.
Yeah, this was not my favorite at all.

Loved It
What a great read. If you love mystery books with an urban flare, then this is the book for you.
Torryn bravo. I was hanging on every page, trying to figure out what the couoke was going to do next, not only to one another but about their situation.
I hope to read more about them. There are some loose ends that need to get solved, but I would still want Mateo & Danica to be together

Mateo got his
For a brief moment I was thinking Danica was about that life but how quickly those tables turned. I love the author and this story just added a bigger layer of how good her works are.
Loved the fact they have a relationship and a child and how this showed patience is a virtue, or is it a threat.

Great story
Often times we all wonder when it will be our turn as we watch from the sidelines. There is always a choice to make regarding how far will you go for success and this story showed just how far. Makes you wonder about all athletes that may compromise integrity for the mighty dollar. I just pray there are a few good people left in this world.

An enjoyable read!
I enjoyed this novel. Mateo knew what he did to get where he was and his wife had to decide if she'd expose his
misdeeds or turn a death ear. She chose the latter but what a heavy weight. The lesson here is was it wirthir or will it eventually all tum Le to the ground, would karma finally come a calling???

ISOLATION
This was so different from the other books.in the series, I wasn't sure how to take it, but it was intriguing and interesting. The gray area with Danica and Mateo was written with so much tension between them that I felt uncomfortable for them. Very interesting.

Not for me
I’m confused on what this story was suppose to do. It feels unfinished. There was no redemption or consequence for anybody. I read to escape reality and get lost in fantasy and this felt like running into another typical toxic relationship.

Did Ms. Santana not receive the sports-romance analogy parameter 🤎🫶🏾🤎memo⁉️… Because there was nothing remotely related to love or romantic gestures about this book. …well, unless you include Mateo’s narcissism & the game of basketball (by any means necessary)🥴🤷🏾♀️‼️Meanwhile, ”Isolation (BLP Sports Series - Book 6) was presented more as a domestic thriller or mystery thriller with a particular emphasis on potential insurance fraud, conspiracy, collusion, corruption and or my personal favorite Danica’s complicity🤦🏾♀️‼️Once again, we readers have been hoodwinked/bamboozled by the most vindictive psychopath (M.V.P.) of a BLP project …just to be relevant 🥴‼️
