Spending Christmas with the Barker triplets just might be the craziest idea ever…
Christmas in New Waterford might never be the same again. With Shane and Bobbi on the outs, Logan and Billie adjusting to sleepless nights and a baby who’s now mobile, things are bad enough. But with newly minted Hollywood superstar, Betty, planning a wedding in town, the potential for disaster is high.
Their gramps has been sidelined by a fall and their father is ailing, so can these triplets get it together—and more importantly—get along? Or will they kill each other before the Turkey is served? It just might take a miracle for them to survive the holidays without any injuries. With Matt Hawkins and a Simon or two along for the ride, this Christmas will be full of tears, laughs, reflection—and if Betty Jo Barker has her way—a wedding.
USA Today bestselling author and 2015 RITA® winner JULIANA STONE fell in love with books in the fifth grade when her teacher introduced her to Tom Sawyer. A tomboy at heart, she splits her time between baseball, books, and music. When she’s not singing with her band, she’s thrilled to be writing young adult as well as adult contemporary romance—books that have garnered starred reviews from Publishers Weekly & Booklist—from somewhere in the wilds of Canada.
Billie-Jo is the only likable one of the triplets. Bobbi-Jo is beyond horrible and Betty -Jo is worse. Selfish, egomaniacal and overall an awful person. I guess what I found most surprising is that seemingly nice men would fall so he'd over heels with them. I'm glad that I could listen to at a increased speed to get it over faster.
With each chapter or two being a different family member’s perspective, it makes this a well rounded Christmas story. You can feel the Christmas spirit as the narrator brings it alive.
There are some aspects of the book I did enjoy but I would have liked it better if it only had 2 characters with POVs. The character development would have been better with fewer POVs to follow. Happy reading and listening!
A cute little update about the girls and what they are up to by what I can tell it’s 18 months after the last book. I love the fact that each pair are still together and making their own way through life.
It's been a long time since I read the Barker Triplets series and I didn't even realize how much I missed them. This holiday novella was an awesome check in and reminded me that I need to bump the Simon family series up my tbr!
This was a heart felt wrap up on the family and gives the possibility of another series with some new characters. Hopefully they will all keep on the path to forgiveness and understanding.
I don’t like to give spoilers on the books that I read. I believe the blurb on the back is enough for you to decide if you will read the book or not. If you choose to read, enjoy
It was a good "turn on while doing other things" read. I'm not a huge fan of the Barker triplets but they're too much of a hot mess to look away so here I am.
I really enjoyed this update on the three Barker girls, their mended sibling ties and their delightful romantic relationships. Their happily ever after features weather disasters, speed bumps and joy mixed with pain but it’s sexy, romantic and oh-so-satisfying. I listened to the audiobook and I loved Maxine Mitchell’s fabulous narration performance.
A Barker Family Christmas is a great catch-up for fans of the Barker Triplets series from Juliana Stone. This novella gives the reader a glimpse into the HEAs of each of the "Twins" and takes place at Christmas time as well as the surprise wedding of Betty Jo and Beau. Things start off with Bobbi and Shane facing some difficulties in their relationship. Billie and Logan are adjusting to life with a small child and little alone time for themselves. While Betty Jo and Beau prepare for their wedding, something has been off with Betty Jo and everyone is beginning to notice. Will everything come together in time for the wedding?
I really enjoyed seeing each of these couples deal with everything that they had going on. Shane and Bobbi were struggling, and the worst part is that Bobbi was hiding from Shane. They needed to just talk and get everything out in the open, and I was so glad when Shane refused to let Bobbi to continue to hide. She needed to hear that he loved her always and that they were supposed to be together no matter what. Logan and Billie were in desperate need of some alone time together, and it was clear that these two had a lot to make up for. They love their family, but sometimes a couple just needs to be able to have a night out. Their evening was far from what they planned, but it ended up working out and being exactly what each of them needed. I really enjoyed seeing Betty Jo and Beau as their wedding approached. I loved her surprise for Beau and I could tell right away what was going on. But I also really enjoyed seeing her friendship with Matt. It was a great part of the story, and really got me interested in seeing what the future holds for him.
Overall, this quick holiday novella was good and I enjoyed spending a little bit of time with the Barkers and their guys. I liked seeing all the secondary characters as well, and thought that this was a great catch'up to this series. I am intrigued by some of these characters and hope that each of them will get their HEAs as well. If you are a fan of this series, you definitely will not want to miss this story. I look forward to reading more from Juliana Stone in the future.
What a great book. Another in this fun series. I love the Barker triplets.
This is the story about the wonderful Barker Triplets. This all takes place around Christmas time and the surprise wedding of Betty Jo & Beau. The story starts out with Bobbi & Shane and they are having some issues and need to work through a few things. Hopefully she can work through them and not continue to push others away, especially Shane. Bobbi needs to let go of the past and look towards the future. The next story is Billie & Logan and a little alone time. Billie and Logan have had a son and he is their world, but sometimes Mom's & Dad's need a little alone time and a night out. The night does not seem to go exactly the way that Billie wants it, but they both get what they want in the end. The last story is about the wedding and Betty Jo's surprise for her husband and her family. I love that she had Matt in quite a few scenes. He deserves his own HEA and book. I can't wait for that.
This was another great book by Juliana Stone. I am never disappointed with her books. The only thing was I wish it would have been longer. But otherwise I loved it. I can't wait for Mavericks story and some more Barker girls stories and especially Matt Hawkins.
This was a really sweet catch up with time spent with all three couples as well as interactions with the group
We start with Bobbi and Shane, and while I was bit confused, because some of things that seemed set in their book were different here, there interactions were solid. Shane and Bobbi are explosive, always have been, always will be and that is evident here. Just wish the storyline stayed on point
Billie and Logan are always off on their timing, as always, but they work it out in the end. Billie is as focused as always, and Logan has to make the compromises when reality tips them off balance. They work so well together, they balance each other perfectly
Betty and Beau is why we are together here, they are getting married. Of course, with Betty, there is drama and Beau amps it up to make her happy. Betty sees no problem with it, because Beau will make sure nothing bad happens to her.
Of course, with that wedding, fringe Simon's are milling about, and we get a smidge of Grace's fascination with Matt, which is going to be perfect, I just know it!
This was a short read in which we were brought up to date with the Barker triplets and their respective spouses and others. With all three, we evidenced how strong both their passion and love were for their respective spouses.
Bobby-Jo and Shane were first as Bobby-Jo battles with "What-ifs". Next came Billy-Jo and Logan with their son Abel (now a toddler), in which Billy-Jo had arranged a long-awaited-for date night for Logan and herself. Thirdly, of course, is Betty-Jo and Beau with their wedding, which has the whole town in a stir and culminates in a little surprise.
In all of this, we get to find out about the Barker triplets' father, as well as a peek into Betty-Jo's friend Matt for whom Logan's sister Grace shows an interest. Will this be an upcoming book? If so, it's one that promises to be a good one.
2.5 stars. Eh I'm not sure there was really a need for this one. I thought it would be fun getting a peak at their lives after their books were over with but a lot of it was sad and the story with Shane and Bobbie didn't stick with what we knew from their book. If you read that one you know that she has maybe like a 5%chance of getting pregnant, well in this one she doesn't want kids because of another reason and claims she can have them psychically 🤷♀️ They apparently have another book after this where they're having issues again over this and while I will read it because this book just undid their story for me I think it would have been better if their book had been the end of their story unless it was good things.

A good novella allowing fans of the triplets to see how they got on and how their stories have progressed. Of the three I would say Billie Jo was a little more rounded. She us settledvand a mother of a little boy. Bobbi Jo who seemed so much more together now falls apart but has a good man in Shane who wants to be with her and fix her brokenness. That he does and they are back on the right path. Betty Jo has come a long way but she still has some ways to go. Her wedding is the setting for her Christmas story as well as finding out she is pregnant. Herschel, is still fun and Trent's illness has progressed. Not a bad conclusion to the Barker Triplets stories.
This was a great follow up to the Barker triplets books. We get to see the sisters again & find out what's happening in their lives. We also get to see the Simon clan as well. Christmas Eve is coming & it's the time for Betty Jo & Beau's wedding. The last minute changes to the wedding & the mishaps along the way make for an interesting run up to the wedding. Plus we also get to see the break through for Bobbi Jo & Shane in their relationship. Loved it.
It was nice to see how all three sisters are doing in this holiday novella. They are all on their way to a happily-ever-after and Logan and Billie are still enjoying alone time together when they can get it. The Christmas wedding that was finally enjoyed by Betty-Jo was very well done and, much to the dismay of Bobby-Jo what Betty-Jo wanted and now what she felt was appropriate. Well done and a nice wrap-up.
I normally dislike novellas....but...I really enjoyed this series. This was a nice little continuance to their stories.. Don't forget the Simon series is available! This writer likes to produce those kind of curl up with a blanket get happy tales! I recommend!
I love checking in with a couple's HEA so it's an extra treat when it's three couples at a time. This was a sweet read. Mostly fluff which for a novella is perfect for me. Can't wait for Maverick's book!
I nice little catch me up of the Barker triplets. There was a bit (a tiny bit) of conflict which I appreciated - so often these little catch me up novellas are complete fluff with no real story line. I liked that this one attempted to have a bit of one.
