Dillon Sultan never imagined he might some day lose Sultan Ranch. He’s got one month to find the money needed to keep the bank from taking his family’s land. One month to find a miracle.
Liam Callahan hasn’t talked to his best friend since the night they kissed six years ago. Now he’s got a chance to make things right and catch the man of his dreams. But first, he has to help Dillon figure out a way to keep Sultan Ranch.
But when Dillon’s family is betrayed, and he learns that Liam hasn’t been totally honest with him, will he lose everything that matters most?
Born and raised in Texas, Jennah is a transplant to Missouri long enough ago she should probably consider that her hometown. But she will forever be a Texan. She loves to write any story that will make a reader smile, laugh, and maybe even cry (although you won't ever hear her admit that she cries). Whether the next story she writes is contemporary, urban fantasy, LGBT, or whatever other crazy idea she comes up with, there will always be love and romance in the midst of trials and turmoil.
When she's not writing you can find her on Twitter, with her family, or buried in a book trying to escape reality for just a minute.
I was given a copy of this book by the author in exchange for a review. This review will contain NO spoilers!! Overall this book is very well written with few errors. I like the plot and characters. Where this book lacks is in the back story and length of the book. As I was reading I felt that had I known more of the past story the reactions by the MC's might make more sense. Based on the length there is no time for development either in the plot of the story or for any of the characters. There were a few times I was even a bit lost as to why something happened or a character reacted the way they did. I did like the majority of the story, it was just lacking overall. If the author chooses to add more to this story and fill in the blanks, I'm sure it will be a good story.

Saving Sultan just hit all the right notes with me. It is a story of second chances and first loves. And cowboys... I love cowboys! There was just enough heat and romance, even if Dillon was slightly neurotic and needed to take a few deep breaths and stop pacing! My main complaint is the length. I wanted more. It could have easily been a full-length novel and held my interest with no problem. I look forward to reading more from Ms Scott!
I think the gayness overloaded my primitive instincts and awakened an inner gay cowboy. Very good read if you want safe punjab no virus heterosexuals. ඞ ඞ ඞ ඞ ඞ ඞ ඞ ඞ But any who, Hey guys, did you know that in terms of male human and female Pokémon breeding, Vaporeon is the most compatible Pokémon for humans? Not only are they in the field egg group, which is mostly comprised of mammals, Vaporeon are an average of 3"03' tall and 63.9 pounds. this means they're large enough to be able to handle human dick, and with their impressive Base stats for HP and access to Acid Armor, you can be rough with one. Due to their mostly water based biology, there's no doubt in my mind that an aroused Vaporeon would be incredibly wet, so wet that you could easily have ### with one for hours without getting sore. They can also learn the moves Attract, Baby-Doll eyes, Captivate, Charm and Tail Whip along with not having fur to hide nipples, so it'd be incredibly easy for one to get you in the mood. With their abilities Water Absorb and Hydration, they can easily recover from fatigue with enough water. No other Pokémon comes close with this level of compatibility. Also, fun fact, if you pull out enough, you can make your Vaporeon turn white. Vaporeon is literally built for human cunt. Ungodly defense stat + high HP pool + Acid Armor means it can take cunt all day, all shapes and sizes and still come for more.
I loved Jennah Scott’s retelling of the Brother’s Grimm tale “Old Sultan.” The original fairy tale, a very short but charming one, is about an old faithful dog that the farmer has deemed useless as the dog has lost his teeth and supposedly his ability to protect the household.
The old dog, Sultan, isn’t happy that the farmer is going to put him down the next day, and enlists the aid of his friend the wolf into tricking the farmer into seeing the dog still has worth. This succeeds, but the wolf demands a price Sultan refuses to pay, as this would compromise his loyalty to the farmer. The wolf proposes a dual to settle things. Sultan’s friend in need this time, his second, is a three-legged cat who is in so much pain all the time, he holds his tail high up in the air. The wolf and his second, a boar, mistake the cat as being armed and dangerous and try to run and hide. The boar tattles the hiding place of the wolf to the dog and cat.
One of those Grimm stories where “and then what happened?” doesn’t get answered, not here at least. These Beyond Fairy Tales published by Decadent are a great way to resolve that! I believe the underlying theme to Old Sultan is loyalty and the odd shapes and forms it can take yet remain the bedrock of so many relationships.
Jennah Scott’s story, Saving Sultan, is centered around Liam and Dillon and begins with a bucket list challenge. The kiss between them proves too much for the newly graduated high school seniors, and they go their separate ways despite their friendship and partnership on the rodeo circuit. Dillon tries to keep in touch with Liam, but he doesn’t hear from him, so he assumes the worst.
When Dillon Sultan returns home from college, he learns his father, after the death of his wife, pretty much gave up on the family ranch and is now in so much debt he is 30 days away from losing it. Dillon refuses to give up but has to scramble to save it. This includes going to the bank to do some begging, which is hard to do anyway, but the man he has to beg is the man who broke his heart, Liam.
Liam would do anything for Dillon and his father, but he can’t help them as a banker, so he helps them as a friend to raise the money to save the ranch. Together they go back on the rodeo circuit and fall in love all over again. Very sweet, hot, and touching—cowboys aren’t my thing, but I really loved these two.
Just when they’re about to save the ranch together, who comes along but the big bad wolf. You’ll have to read the story “Saving Sultan” to find out how it all ends. And the cover by Syneca Featherstone rocks!
I was given a copy of this book for an honest review. I will try to explain without giving anything away. I have only given this 3 stars because I felt that it needed more. I felt that it should have been a full length book or more of a novella than a short story. This story needed more of a back story. The single chapter wasn't really enough. There were reactions throughout the book that would have been understood better with more knowledge of the characters. I enjoyed the way this story was written the writing flowed. Good characters. I will definitely look out for more books by this author.
Jennah Scott has two HOT Texas men who find each other after being best friends in High School. Dillion comes home to save the family ranch and Liam is at the bank that holds the note. They come back together after the fear of being young and interested in each other has kept them apart. This is a fun, good read about ranchers in Texas. If hot cowboys are your thing, be sure and give this a try.
This quick read is fast paced and gets right into the story (but is missing a little back story). Dillon left his small hometown to get away from his best friend who he was in love with. Coming home to save his families ranch he turns to the one person he thought he would never ask for help from, Liam. Working at the local bank, Liam now is in the position to help Dillon, but will he?
