Look behind the mask and you’ll see it unfold…

Sawyer has lived a charmed life. He’s the catch every girl is after when dreaming of her very own storybook ending. In real life, though, nothing is like it is in a fairytale. One childhood event can forever affect how a man looks at love and relationships, even a golden guy like Sawyer.

Those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it. Isn’t that what everyone has always taught in history class? He doesn’t have time for love or commitment.
Even the most skeptical with love can sometimes find it in the strangest of places, when that one special someone catches his eye, suddenly leaving him dazed and confused.

The only way to reap the benefits of true love is to put your own demons behind and give love a shot…

When secrets start to arise will the two beat the odds or part ways and let it destroy them both?

This was a very unique story; I can definitely say that I have not read one like it.

Charisa Martin used to believe in living the life of a princess, yet turbulent times in her life have prevented her from doing just that. All Charisa (Cherry) wants to do is keep her head low and survive, but the man that has developed an obsession with her makes it impossible...

Sawyer is living the life but when he gets a glimpse of Cherry, he's intrigued and wants to know more about her anyway possible.

As their story develops there are dark secrets exposed, feelings hurt and family ties are tested.

I have to say, when I found out Cherry's secret I was floored! I honestly did not see that coming! Now the question is how will this affect Cherry and Sawyers's relationship? Will Cherry be left alone again? Will Sawyer choose blood over love? You have to One-Click and find out! ~ Kara, 4 stars

WOW !! I loved this book to "the moon and back" it was really emotional reading the heartbreak that Cherry goes through.
The prologue pulled me in straight away and had me hooked then chapter 1 skips forward some years telling us how Cherry's life which is perfect suddenly changes at the drop of a hat.
She doesn't think she can let anyone in to her heart as she thinks she will just get let down or hurt again so finds it very hard to open up to others and trust. Then we meet Sawyer who becomes drawn to Cherry but doesn't know why especially when his interest in her seems to scare her, but then she gets an offer and her life starts to change.
This was really emotional and will have you crying in places for Cherry so get the tissues ready !!

There were a lot of aspects of this book that I enjoyed. Unfortunately, there were also a lot of aspects that I just couldn't connect with. Cherry'y life was terrible and I felt for her. I even teared up in the beginning. I really liked Sawyer and I was happy they found each other. I think the overall premise of the story was good and I would like to check out more from this author.

My Review: (ARC provided)
4 stars!

I really enjoyed this book. The first few chapters broke my heart. The author writes Cherry from a young child's POV and does it very well. I really felt like I was in the mind of a little girl.

Poor Cherry (h) she had been through so much at such a young age and just when you think she might get a break she goes through heartache, shock and deception all over again and in the worse way possible. How can a person not be broken after what she'd been through? I don't think people would have come out of what she did half the person she was. I get why she started dancing it wasn't just for the money it was to escape reality.

I loved Sawyer (H) he was such a good and genuine guy. The one thing I really loved about his character was that he wasn't the typical alpha manwhore. He didn't believe in cheating or getting around, yeah he had his fun but when he committed that was it. He had been in a stale relationship for two years and instead of stepping out on her he made sure they were broken up first.

When Sawyer gets a evening out with the guys he sees Cherry dancing but he's seen her before and that's when his connection to her really begins to grow. He knows some how she needs someone and is struggling but he's not sure how to get through to her. Will Sawyer break through Cherry's walls? And will he be able to accept her for her past and the person she is today?

I read this book in a day and really enjoyed it, the issues mentioned above were the only reason I couldn't give it a full five stars. This was a great debut novel and I can't wait to read more by this author. Oh and I loved the little shout out to indie authors in this book.

Told from both H and h's POV.
I recommend!

4 out of 5 stars

This book was not what I was expecting, but I don’t mean that in a bad way. When we first meet Cherry, we already know that her life has not been good. We know that she’s running from something - and probably more likely someone. After the first few chapters, I already knew that she had a past that most people wouldn’t survive. In fact, I was mesmerized by the fact that she could interact with people the way she did and that she was in such a public job.

The first time we met the hero, Sawyer, I knew that I would love him! He didn’t know Cherry from anyone else, but he already felt the need to protect her and keep her safe. He doesn’t even really know her, and he’s not without his own troubles.

Ms. Snyder did a wonderful job of the flashbacks with Cherry. It was amazing to see bullying in such a profound way towards a little girl that just missed her daddy. Kids were cruel to her, but you also saw adults saying mean things behind their backs. It’s just so sad that we live in a world that is really like this were bullies think they can be this way.

There were times in the novel when I felt like maybe the author gave a little too much hint that something bad was about to happen, but I still jerked back and questioned why this was happening to a girl who didn’t really deserve it.

I love that between Sawyer and others that she met thru the course of the book, Cherry takes back her life. This thought that comes about 85% thru the book really made me happy for this character and where she was developing:

I’m taking back the power that was taken from me, and moving forward. I don’t know why it has taken me six years to do this, and to learn this strenght, but I’m doing it now.

Sawyer was an amazing hero as well. He knew when to step up and when to back down. He didn’t push her or himself. He stayed in the background even if he really, really wanted to be with her. This book is a solid four stars and Cherry and Sawyer will be fixtures in my book memory for some time to come!

If you are looking for a book with a damaged girl and an alpha male, this one is for you. This is a story of love, loss, and the power to overcome the cards we are dealt in life. I gave it 3.5 - 4 Stars because the storyline was there, but the execution was a little off for me. But all in all, I would recommend you give this new author a try.

Cherry had everything a little girl could want as a child, a fairy tale life down to the princess canopy bed. When life decided to throw her family a curve ball, and cancer takes her father, her mother loses everything they ever had and becomes bitter and resentful towards Cherry. Things go from bad to worse, throw in a terrible step father and a school counselor, Mr. Avery that preys on Cherry’s insecurities in the worst possible way… Cherry runs. She finally catches a break in life while working/living at a little diner, when she approached by a club owner to become a dancer (stripper). Things are starting to look up.

Sawyer is the kind of character that all of us romance junkies love, alpha male, hot, smart, wealthy, and caring. He sees something in Cherry that he needs and wants. When he is finally free of his cheating ex (yep, she cheated with his half brother Mark), and he falls upon Cherry at the club, he pursues her. The twists and turns of this will have you on the edge of your seat needing to find out what is going to happen and how it is all connected in the end. There are things that I didn’t see coming for sure and you won’t either!

ACCEPTING CHERRY is a story about surviving and living with choices made under duress. The main character, Cherry, is an idealistic young girl who loses everything in the short space of six months. She goes from a happy child who dreams of princesses and Prince Charmings to a friendless girl living in a tragic situation. Somehow she rises above it, finding that Prince Charming isn’t the knight on a white horse, but a black Harley-Davidson.

There’s a lot of development to this tale, starting with Cherry’s childhood and the events that lead to her current position in life. Some of it is raw and much of it is sad, a commentary on the lives of many young people today. But hope wins out, so never fear.

Supporting characters are good but don’t show up as much as I would have liked. I was intrigued with those people who helped Cherry along the way. We don’t learn much about Roger or Fawn’s backgrounds and I wanted to know more about them.

But the big thing missing was more of Sawyer. We pick up his story as an adult character and while he had a happy life as a boy, there are secrets in his closet that are mentioned and not investigated. I wanted to know more about what he thought about the situations with his brother and his parents. It would have balanced out the story well from a narrative point of view.

I did enjoy this book. It was a departure from my usual fair and was enjoyable. I do recommend it for those who want something different in their romance.

~~I received this in exchange for my honest opinion~~

Where do I even begin with this book? At first I was sad for Cherry, she lost the one thing that meant anything to her. It wasn't just about who she lost, it was the was that they went about hiding the truth from her. The lack of emotion and respect that her own mother had for Cherry was the hardest part. However, Cherry overcame all of that to get where she is today.

Cherry goes through hell and back multiple times. She picks herself up and keeps a semi positive attitude through it all. There is mystery behind what Cherry has held in. She feels that she is damaged, and broken. Too broken for anyone to love.

Sawyer is taken by the girl at the library. He feels the need to protect her, to comfort her. But doesn't know who or where she lives. He finds her at her work, he is taken back by her beauty. He holds secrets as well. Can he be strong for not only him, but for Cherry as well? Will he be strong enough to hold it together when Cherry finally tells him the truth?

This book was excellant. I couldn't put it down at all. There were highs and lows, crying and happy hearts. There was also heartbreak. You could feel what Cherry was going through. Chrissy is a fantastic writer. She keeps her readers invested in the story and does it flawlessly. Read this book!!

I enjoyed this read. It was light and different. I really like the plot line. Cherry shows that you can endure bad situations in life and recover, even if slowly. Just because you have a bad start in life doesn't mean it has to bleed into the future. I liked watching her grow and trust Sawyer. Sawyer was your typical college aged good guy. I really liked him. He saw something that enticed him and he never strayed. I am glad he got rid of Mandy, though. One thing I liked was that he never got jealous of her career even though it wasn't that of the typical one chosen when in a serious relationship, but it also came before him. He never once made her choose etc, even though it meant sharing something with the world that was his. I also love how Cherry went from this skittish shy girl in real life to this vixen at work. It was like two different people and I loved that. That one scene with her friend. wowza!

About the brother. Can I just say w t f for a minute. It's sad that there are really people like him out there and esp in our kids school system. I hope he catches some rare disease and gets what he deserves lol. Great debut. You'll love the characters.

Great book ...love concurs all

The first few chapters really gutted me, I cried. I had to stop a couple of times to look out the window to come back to reality. I'm feeling really sad for Cherry.
Cherry was a happy little girl who's daddy loved her very much and called her Princess Cherry Berry. Things turn for the worst when her daddy gets sick and passes away. Her mother resents her and she is so mean, nasty and always belittling her. Nobody wants to be her friend, they think she's dirty and poor. Years later her mom remarries and Cherry had to leave and get away especially from her step-father and Mr. Avery. She finds work in a dinner where she meets Roger and he offers her a job....at a strip club. She meets Sawyer who falls for her but he doesn't realize it yet, she's holding back because she's afraid that he'll leave once he finds out the truth. Cherri's past keep coming back in her life and she wants it to go away.
I really enjoyed this book, the middle was a little slow at times but I'm glad I read this book. There's a lot of emotions so, get ready for a great read!

If I could give this book 1/2 * I would have.

I kept on preserving with this book, hoping it would redeem itself. No it didn't.

I don't like giving bad reviews, but this book made me feel like I wasted my time and money.

The reasons are - the writing style and story. First of all for the first 6 chapters, it was written
so immaturely and it dragged on. To make the point of Cherry's backstory, the author could
have condensed it down to 2 pages or paragraphs. Secondly her style of writing, you just couldn't identify or mesh with the characters.

Also the book just jumped around in places, and at times it was like 2 different characters.
Some editing should have been done as one time it says Sawyer lives in a house, then an apartment.

The relationship between Mark and Sawyer just didn't make sense. It was summed up too quick so it
left you confused.

Through in a twist near the ending, and that wasn't even done well.
Overall I wish I hadn't wasted my time and money.
Judge for yourself.

HOLY SMOKES!!! This book tore me up from bottom to top and cover to cover. Chrissy is an amazing writer and just wow.. This book will make you feel EVERY emotion you have PERIOD!! I cried, got seriously pissed, super hot, sad to tears, and loved to tears.

Charisa AKA Cherry has been through so much but still carries herself through every day trying to better her life no matter what. She has been torn apart in every sense of the word but still loves and cares for others. Trusting them might be a different story but she sure tries to keep her life on track in spite of her past.

Sawyer is just a hot, intelligent, successful tattoo wearing bike riding sexy man. He is about to graduate college when his life changes little by little. Between break ups, and trying to keep his family close no matter what he too has to handle the ups and downs that are thrown his way.

This book really had me glued from the beginning. I am absolutely in love with this book!! Thank you so much Chrissy for allowing me to review such an awesome book!! Five heart wrenching stars have been granted :)

I started reading Accepting Cherry with an open mind knowing Chrissy Snyder was a new Author I wanted to give her a chance. I know it had gotten mixed reviews but I didn't listen to any of those and wanted to be able to give my own review at the end.
I have to say it started out slow, but oh my heart hurt for Cherry. She truly was a Daddys girls and her mother was so evil. The girl had been through so much is her young life and she was only 23 and the blows kept coming. I just wanted to hold her and tell her it would all be ok.
When Sawyer enters the picture what's not to love about him? Tattooed, sweet, hot, he's pretty much the prefect man yes he has his own issues but he's such a great guy! I want so bad for him and Cherry to make it work!
Chrissy did great keeping you drawn into the story and guessing at every turn. The end will leave you shocked! I was glad I took the risk on this book. If your looking for a book the keeps you guessing this is the book for you!

Charisa is a girl that lost so much most of all her belief in happily ever after. When her father dies while she is a young child everything changes in her life. She goes through so much and my heart just broke for her. After being abused by people in her life, she decides to make a life of her own. It isn't easy, but she is just so brave.

Sawyer has experienced his own heartache with the ultimate betrayal by a brother. He finds Charisa one day experiencing such a need to protect and take care of her not even knowing her name or what she has lived through. When she disappears from the diner Sawyer never expects to find her right in front of him on his birthday. He knows that he has to have her in his life and will do anything to make that happen.

There is just so much that I loved about this book. I enjoyed the twist that caught me by surprise. I really didn't see that one coming. I loved the romance between Sawyer and Charisa.

I give Accepting Cherry 4 hearts!

I have to say, I am pleasantly surprised with Chrissy's first book. The story was engaging, touching, sexy and heartfelt. So much pain filled Cherry's life you couldn't help but feel for her. She went through so much and just wanted to be loved. Her trust issues were not unexpected. She dealt with some horrible people who crushed her. Yet I found Cherry to be a very strong character. She beat all odds and came out a fighter. Her choices, however, with stripping were not what I wished for her, but it gave her power and gained her confidence.
Sawyer was a complete swoon worthy man. Oh boy, did I love him. How he loved Cherry, cherished her, wanted her. Man, I couldn't get enough of him.
A minor twist in the story kept me on my toes and made Cherry's story even more engaging.
Well done, Chrissy!

** ARC provided by Obsessed by Books for an honest review **

I didn't know what to expect when I was reading Accepting Cherry after seeing the mixed reviews posted by other reviewers. I am glad that I got a chance to read Accepting Cherry. It was a good book and I enjoyed reading it. In the beginning it was really depressing and sad to see what Cherry had to go through as a child growing up. Cherry thought of herself as a princess and wanted to find her prince charming. Her daddy always would read to her princesses stories and called her his little princess. Cherry loses her dad and things go downhill from there. Her mom becomes distant and angry.

Later on Cherry is on her own and is living her life and working. Sawyer is a sexy tattooed and sweet kinda of guy. They both were really great together.

Can't wait to read more and see what is next from Chrissy Snyder

Cherry has always been close to her dad. When her father gets cancer, her entire world gets turned upside down. Her mother is not only a person She barely knows any more, but she also remarries to some one who is cruel.

Having a past that no one should ever have, leaves her with nightmare every night. She left home at 17 and has been trying to make ends meet since then. When she is offered a high class job, she takes it.

Meeting Sawyer is not something She planned in doing, but they kinda fell into each other.

When secrets are finally let out, feelings are hurt, people are seen for who they really are, and hearts change their beats. You will definitely want to read this. I was very intrigued from the beginning and was sucked in the entire time. I think it was a great debut novel and I look forward to reading more by this author!

I received this book from United Indie Book Blog for an honest review. I gave this book a 4.5 but rounded up!
Right from the beginning Accepting Cherry pulled me in and kept me reading until the very end. Love that we get to start with a POV of a younger Cherry and her struggles she has to overcome at a young age. This does not break from the storyline, or take away from it but lays the foundation that we need to know and understand Cherry. Sawyer, his character at first seemed a little superficial BUT I feel in love with him. The story and characters are well written and developed. This is a heartbreaking, finding yourself and letting yourself love and be loved story. Had me right from the beginning!

Cherry's life goes from Disney Princesses to torment and bullies. One single moment starts a series of events that lands her in Sawyer's path. Sawyer's life was perfect.....well, except for that one family secret.

Can Cherry and Sawyer find the Happily Ever After they deserve, or will the sins of their pasts destroy their happiness?

Chrissy Snyder does an amazing job of creating characters you will love, hate, and some you might even connect with. I laughed, cried, and I wanted to throttle a few characters before the end of the book. I really didn't want this book to end.

I usually start off explaining the characters but I'm doing it differently with this book..... I lost my dad to cancer a cpl years ago an the first 5 chapters to Cherry's childhood I cried bc I so relate how she felt losing her dad to cancer.... I cried an ugly cry an not even half way through the book... Cherry never recovered from the loss of her dad an she has such a disconnect with her mom that she is living at the Dinner Roll diner. Sawyer is a senior at college an when he first saw Cherry at the public library he sensed a need to protect her. I totally love this book very well written an can feel the overwhelming saddens an the concern to protect an to love both characters....

I received this book by the author herself as a prize in a contest and I must say how much I enjoyed it. I felt so bad for Cherry to have been put through so much. Sawyer what an amazing guy. Just all that he does for her, my only objection was the end seemed really rushed, but I am looking forward to reading more from this author.
