very cute and sweet. I generally do not love coming of age and romance but gave it a chance for a local author! a quick and easy read that only takes an hour or two.

Taylor Swift's folklore love triangle in long form, with a unique touch from a local author!

What a book! It deeply surprised me with so many interesting twists and turns. I loved the chemistry between the main characters. What was unexpected was how amazing the love triangle was! I literally had no idea who was going to end up with who! That is very rare in books. I really liked all the many different themes in the story. Like divorce, sexual assault, bullying, growing up, moving away, fighting with the parents, and more. It really made people feel seen. It also added many layers of this story. Shockingly I think my favorite character was Cassie. I felt like she really got the short end of the stick, but that’s life. It made the book even more realistic. I was impressed with how the story got wrapped up in such a bow at the end! It was such a heart warming ending.

While reading, I couldn’t help but smile, gasp, and cry. It makes you feel so much, because you are so involved with these characters. I highly suggest this story!


I know this is Mary Kathryn Groh first book, but it felt like her hundredth. The writing was mature, descriptive, and interesting. I am seated in the book store waiting for her next book. When will come? I hope I’m not waiting too long.
