Could You Betray The One You Loved If It Meant Staying Free?

When young MBA hotshot Mika Horden is recruited for her first big trading job at Dawson & Memorial she finds herself surrounded by glitz, glamour, and greed.

A long shot from her checkered past of poverty and desperation.

Her arrogant, take-no-prisoners, jerk-of-a-boss Erik Dawson looms over Mika as a powerful force. A controlling force. A man in every sense of the word.

Now Mika must learn to go toe-to-toe with her boss, establishing her name and her reputation in ways she never dreamed possible. While she’s at it, she might just teach him a thing or two about love, lust, and truth.

The Trust Me Not Series is a 5 part series with installments to be published weekly.

About the author

C.J. Berry

C.J. Berry is an award winning copywriter by day and steamy romance writer by night. Ever since she was a little girl she has carried a book around with her everywhere she went. In college she discovered Nora Roberts, Maya Banks, H.M. Ward and other great romance writers and decided to make a career out of writing.

She tries to write erotic romance with characters that make you laugh, cry and swoon. She loves a happy ending but doesn’t like when they come easy and her writing reflects that.

Most of her writing is inspired by true events and personal experience. It has been a complete hoot for her to write it all down and relive those moments.

When she is not writing she is reading, running, crafting or spending time with her kids in her beloved hometown of Portland, Oregon.

I guess I have to say it is not bad. But it was not what I thought it would be. But nothing against the author but it did not grab me enough to pay for the next book in the series. I just think it is one of those things that it just not for everyone. I guess..

first let me start by saying I really enjoyed what I read. this book has great potential, I just wish it was longer. I really thought about getting the other books but I'm not big into buying pieces of stories. but I will say it is good, what there is of it.

I have mixed feelings about Trust Me Not by C.J. Berry. I think a lot of it has to do with a couple of things. One, to work for a company that well known, they would not hire someone without experience. Two, the sexual harassment that goes on is totally off the charts. That being said, I actually liked the book. She shows the first day nerve jitters that we all face when starting in a new position. Now a lot of people may say the instant attraction is not realistic. I beg to differ. There are instances where you just see someone and BAM! You want to jump their bones.
I give this book 4 stars. I was shocked at the twist and cliff hanger, but that just makes me want to read the next installment all the more. This story line has captured my attention.

This book is about a new college graduate that gets the dream job only to find out things are not as they seem. I enjoyed this book and will continue the series.

Strange story, jarring story line, no likable characters - really not interested to continue reading the second book.

So many questions.... this is just a sneak peek like watching a movie trailer....getting enough interest yet feel as though you've seen the movie. Too many unexplainable parts though.

Not a huge fan of books that come out in parts, but I was intrigued. A lot of crude comments, definitely not for the faint of heart. Not intriguing enough for me to buy the rest of the series.
