Very compelling read, though sad. Two older characters (65 & 73) reflect on their lives, children, & lovers as they drive from Ontario to Tofino, British Colombia. I really liked it, perhaps because I could relate to so much of it. The characters are realistic and complex. Highly recommend.
Kathleen and Yannick lost their daughter Una many years ago. They subsequently divorced and went their separate ways. When bones are found in B.C. that might be their daughters, they are drawn together. They drive from Ontario to B.C. together and try to make sense of their loss and what is to come. Parents who never have closure when their child has never been found are portrayed in this poignant novel.
