Vera Ivanov is a genius. Her studies are above most people’s comprehension, yet she is a down-to-earth woman. Being the daughter of Petr Ivanov, head of the Ivanov Bratva, she has been sheltered. Unlike her older sister, her mother protected her and kept her with her over the years. Now, Vera is going to Moscow as one of the prestigious recipients of a team for a study. She didn’t get where she is because of her father, but on her own merits. Her parents are not together but are still married. Her father’s infidelities and mistresses destroyed their family—not that there was love between her parents.
Nikko Romanov’s family has been working on discovering who was responsible for the attack on Lev, and it has been shown from the Ivanov Bratva. They have also learned that Vera Ivanov will be traveling to Moscow, with a bodyguard her father provides, and this is the chance for Nikko to act for the family. Posing as Markov Pashnik, he will protect her and possibly get a chance to strike at their enemy.
The story is full of action and suspense. The chemistry between Vera and Markov/Nikko just oozes off the pages. He has so much intel on her, and even her phone is mirrored for him to see. He is fascinated by what she reads—this intelligent woman loves her kink too—and that will be something he can use to his advantage. The only thing he really must do is avoid Markov’s aunt, who is Petr’s mistress. The part where Vera doesn’t want others to know Markov/Nikko is her bodyguard, and claiming he is her husband is a surprise even to him. Now, they must give the appearance of being a couple—sharing a room—but it has the advantage of keeping her safe—from others—but not from Nikko. He enjoys reminding her that, as her husband, he expects obedience and will punish her when she doesn’t.

One moment, she’s there, and the next, she’s gone. She can pick any lock and escape any prison or shackle.”
The Romanovs are concerned after Isabella just shows up at Viktor’s home, says her piece, and vanishes as quickly as she came. Is this a sign that her brother, Javier, is making a play? A private meeting with the brothers at their private warehouse comes with another surprise—biometrics shows someone is there—and Lev goes to the loft area and encounters what appears to be a boy—but quickly discovers it isn’t one, but a girl—Isabella Morales. The story will have Ollie coming to Colombia looking for Renata. When he finds her, she has been hurt—but he doesn’t trust her. She needs to be punished. The one thing that Ollie wasn’t expecting was for it to be decided that he should marry Renata, tightening the alliance.

The fifth book in the Wicked Vows series was everything and definitely more than I had anticipated.
The main attraction besides the ever so dominating, dirty talking Lev is Isabella. I really enjoy her strength, tenacity and determination. She’s just so REFRESHING and downright SASSY!! Hiding her endearing side is a must in this world where women are pasted over to lead and be seen as powerful.
The chemistry between Lev and Isabella is flaming HOT. The sexy times between them is enticing, amusing and sensual. But their bantering is what makes you love them, it’s FUN and FLIRTY.

The Romanovs are bonded by family. They all fall under the leadership of their pakhan and older brother, Mikhail. The one thing they all have in common is how much they love their family. Each brother has their own story to tell. Their stories are filled with suspense, action, drama, and lots of spice. There are also so many twists and turns throughout the series, it keeps you guessing. I was on the edge of my seat for each book. I laughed, cried, and wanted to throw my kindle at times, but I was very entertained. Check this series out. You will not be disappointed.

Jane Henry consistently excels in storytelling. Her Bratva characters are intricately crafted and multifaceted, demonstrating the depth and complexity that readers crave. When you add intense drama packed with angst, blended with electric chemistry and BDSM scenes, it undoubtedly warrants another five-star review. It’s truly exceptional.
