Campylobacter

Rate this book
"Campylobacter is the official follow up to Dolly Dolly's debut record album Antimacassar. It takes the form of a 20 page art book filled with hand cut collages and words next to them. It's like a record only silent and oblong and you use your eyes not your ears. It's best enjoyed in the light but can be read with illumination in the evenings.

I would suggest it best enjoyed by those of you with a slightly mordant and abstract disposition."

This little book really harks back to the glory days of surrealist collage and cut-ups, mixed with flash fiction and other texts that form an enigmatic whole. This is one of those books that I love in itself, but also because it definitely feels as though it slipped through the cracks in the world to me. It was given to me by the author way back, but the moniker Dolly Dolly leads you to an eclectic personality that one feels you never quite have a handle upon - like some wild surrealist street artist, only of text, music, books etc. Something just - different.
