Church on Fire is what happens when Christ comes to church. It’s practical, relational, missional and do-able. Step-by-step Fred Hartley guides you and your church family on a 31-day spiritual journey showing you from both the Bible and life experience how to encounter the reality of the manifest presence of Christ. Why settle for just keeping the church machinery moving when God is waiting to set your Church on Fire!
Wish we could give half stars, I’d give it a 3.5. It started off well and really got me motivated, but around week 3 or 4 I started to lose interest it started to lose the practical approach for me. Overall, it was still a good book and I’d recommend it to anyone looking to develop a deeper relationship with Christ individually and as a church.
I appreciated this book. A great read for church leaders who desire to see their congregations truly grow in Christ and deepen their prayer and walk with the Spirit.
If “Prayer on Fire” and “God on Fire”, also written by Fred Hartley, were intended the first two books in a three-book-series, and while these first two are very good, “Church on Fire” is the best of the three! Hartley synthesizes everything on the manifest presence of Christ and practically applies how the Spirit of God works in and through his people in the local church from fullness to fulfillment. We have used this book with our worship teams over six weeks with the small group study questions included. It’s transforming and our leaders are getting it and living it out!
One of the best book I have read. It really show the true purpose of Church and how to take bold steps to encounter the manifest presence of our Holy Father
