When single mom Natalie London makes a secret steamy arrangement with her hot new lawyer, Cameron Bryant, she quickly realizes just how much of her heart is at risk.
****
Cameron Bryant has spent the last six months working toward the same two goals: become the youngest junior partner at Gardner Law Firm and find the woman he spent the night with six months ago, the one who slipped through his fingers before he so much as got the chance to kiss her.
He feels more confident about the first goal, being that his boss has all but assured him - as long as he doesn’t make any major mistakes during his upcoming cases - he’s golden. And considering his next client is the sister of his colleague’s friend, he’s not really worried. Until that very client walks into his office, and he immediately realizes…it’s her.
Natalie London is a single mom and trauma surgeon, a combination that means she’s only gone out once in the last year. And despite meeting the perfect man that night, she wasn’t ready for the way he made her feel. Now, she doubts she’ll ever see him again. That is, until her ex-husband files for more custody of their nine-year-old daughter, Chloe, and her new lawyer happens to be someone she’s met before - in the dark, back hallways of a Boston dive bar.
Natalie’s relationship with Cameron is supposed to be a strictly professional client-lawyer one, but when he overhears that, with her divorce behind her, she’s ready to experiment in the bedroom and is looking for someone to do it with...he can’t help but beg to let it be him. With everything that is on the line for them, will they be able to stop crossing it?

starting another book that’s part of my “my 10 before the end.” i have read the first 3 books and remembered enjoying it so i hope that i’ll enjoy this one too! 💌✨ i love me a good single-mom book 🤭
𐙚⋆°。⋆♡ ── pre-read have been highly anticipating this after adoring attached at heart earlier this year!!! single mom/parent always does it for me and love seeing the bipoc rep in this book !!! all her teasers have me so excited for this oneee
amelie is defo one of my fav indie authors and i love seeing her grow in her work!!!
I’ve always loved Amelie’s books and this one was no different🥰 As a safety and very sensitive reader, I love reading about heroes that are actually obsessed and have eyes for no other woman other than the heroine, of course - this is something that Amelie nails in this book as well. Single mom romance books are hands down my faves and I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Nat, Cam and Chloe🫶🏽 The way Cam was such an amazing father figure for Chloe and the way their bond is portrayed along with the romance between Nat and Cam? SOBBING🥺 All of this just to tell you guys to go and read this because it’s def worth it!!!
*Thank you to Amelie Rhys for providing me with an ARC!
Beta Read 21/07/25: LOVED IT. As usual another hit by Miss Amelie. For my safety girlies, this is totally safe with a hero who hasn’t been with anyone since meeting her and with one that YEARNS and PINES for her. Oh, and she’s a single mom (MY FAVE)🥰
I always go feral for Amelie’s books—and Already At Risk was no exception. This is book 4 in the Wildflower series, and I think this one is my favorite so far! I feel like I say that with each new release, but they truly do just get better and better. And—dare I say—hotter and hotter 🤭 Amelie really made magic with this one.
I loved Natalie and the growth we see in her through the story. Her resilience, tenacity, and courage to heal and trust in someone again was inspiring. And Chloe was absolutely precious and she must be protected at all costs. She’s such a little firecracker and I love her.
CAMERON ELIJAH BRYANT. The man that you are. The definition of “if he wanted to, he would.” He is exactly the type of man all men should strive to be. He’s steady, confident (with just the right amount of cockiness), patient, and compassionate. He was exactly the man Natalie needed. He was so supportive, tender, and patient with Natalie, and had genuine love and care for Chloe. He is just truly such a good man. Green flags for days.
And my god, the MOUTH on him 🥵 Look, I always know I’m about to indulge in the most delicious spice when I pick up Amelie’s books, but goddamn this one might have had some of her best spice yet. And I quickly understood why Tears by Sabrina Carpenter was on the playlist 🤭 I absolutely loved the chemistry between Nat and Cam, both in and outside of the bedroom.
The book was already so perfect, and then we get smacked with one of the sweetest epilogues ever. It may be one of my favorite moments of the entire series.
Anyway, I absolutely loved this. And if you love swoony romcoms that make your feet kick and your toes curl, you must check out the Wildflower series. All 4 books are available on KU! ✨
read if you like: ⇢ single mom (she's a doctor) ⇢ forbidden romance ⇢ lawyer x client ⇢ spicy lessons ⇢ he falls first ⇢ protective mmc
Many thanks to Amelie for the eARC in exchange for an honest review!
Oh, and fuck Korey—Alexa, play The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived.
❤️ I adored this story. I loved each of the MC’s and her daughter, Chloe. I loved that they were each smart, successful, and able to have fully functioning mature conversations, esp when things got tricky.
🧚If you’re looking for unnecessary drama - or realism - look elsewhere. It’s very sweet and a bit fairy-taley.
I loved that it started as a bit insta with a random meeting at a bar. They felt the spark, enjoyed each other, but never actually kissed or hooked up. The tension was left lingering until they met again 6 months later, when Cameron becomes Natalie’s lawyer in a custody case involving her 10 yr old daughter and asshole ex husband..
The tension comes from the forbidden relationship (lawyer/client) and her being open to trust and be with someone again. I ADORED Cameron and his complete fascination and devotion to her. She felt similarly about him and the way their feelings weave, grow, and complement each other is everything. He’s OTT devoted to her but it also felt somehow balanced. It was clear that he wasn’t in this alone.
If you’re looking for a book with tension, but also an overwhelming sense of love and respect, this is it. It was long, but I wanted it to be longer. The author nailed it. ❤️❤️❤️
😊Mature characters, each in their early 30’s. I love that these are fully developed characters; each with their own backstory. So good! 👏No third act break up - there’s a moment where this could happen, but they actually talk like adults and communicate. 🗣️No miscommunication: there’s angst, but these two also talk about their feelings and are open, honest and respectful with each other. 🧱Relationship building: This has all the small moments. Even though they are deeply, falling over themselves, attracted to each other, we also see how much comfort and care they give and receive by being together. 🍻There are brief flashbacks throughout the book to their first meeting at the bar. These usually annoy me bc it takes me away from the current timeline, but these are very brief and actually help us see and understand why that first meeting was so memorable. 🫣No OM/OW drama. He hasn’t been with anyone for 9 months, so no one since he met her. She hasn’t been w anyone since she divorced her ex over a year ago. Neither has any interest in any one else. Her friends try to convince her to go on dates or have a fling and he gets insanely jealous and proposes his own plan. 🌶️Spice - this is the most delicious slow burn. They get together around 40%, but you feel every look and squeeze of the knee. And then after 🔥It’s perfection. 🏠Found family: He lost his dad in a car accident, but is close with his mom, grandpa and remaining family. She has 4 brothers and parents with whom she is close. They have an overlapping social circle. Lots of side characters from other stories (which I haven’t read yet) but it wasn’t distracting. 👥Dual POV; multiple epilogues 👏 where we see various milestones - engagement, marriage, baby, and one being 13 yrs later when we see Chloe get married.
Tropes, etc: - forbidden (client/lawyer) - Insta to sex lessons to true love (even tho they were each kind of all in from the beginning. - Sex lessons: They agree to 5 sex “lessons” with no strings but clearly they each want all the strings. Lol. It actually worked well in this story and gave the FMC time to trust and believe in Cam. - single divorced mom (w 10 yr old daughter); terrible ex husband - lawyer/trauma surgeon - bi representation (MMC; not really relevent but it’s mentioned) - BIPOC representation (MMC) - Care/comfort/consent/mild dom - They way they took absolute genuine care of each other, ah. Swoon. How she loved when he took control but never took control away from her. So well done.
I want to read this again and again and again. 📕❤️🍷
Favorite bits: ‼️(even more spoilers) - the characters - how they are each multilayered but smart and considerate. Cam is so devoted and just keeps falling deeper and deeper and we see his genuine love and respect of her intelligence, career, and parenting. And we see her absolute trust in him and how she craves his comfort and strength, but also makes sure to care for him as well. - how he remembers what she tells him in the most thoughtful ways - her nighttime routine, the sunflowers, the planetarium, sitting on her front steps looking at the stars - all the ways he shows care for Chloe - when the daughter gets sick, taking them to the baseball game, spending time w Chloe and having her at the office and seeing her skate. At the end when he goes w her to field day and they agree she’ll call him dad - we see them at each others apts - we see her be aware of his every emotion and help him be secure in her feelings for him; she throws him a surprise party when he makes partner - the way they laugh and giggle together - when she calls him ‘baby’ near the end and he swoons. - when she dresses up for him w sexy lingerie or her corset thing and he just melts. - when he chooses being w Natalie over representing her at the trial - their supportive friends and family, especially his grandpa who Cam thinks may want him to prioritize his law career, but instead tells him the opposite. - all the ways Cam tells off her terrible ex, Korey - when she’s doing her deposition and he’s squeezing her knee under the table - when he comforts her after her terrible day at work when there was a multi car collision; listening, showering w her, etc. and he needs her just as much. - nicknames - Sunny, Sunshine, Mama, baby (which normally makes me cringe, but I liked for some reason lol) - allllllll the epilogues ❤️

First and foremost thank you to Amelie for the ARC of Already at Risk, in exchange of my honest opinion.
LET ME YAP A LITTLE BIT: The Wildflower series has become one of my favorite contemporary romance of all time. While there has been some bumps in the road (looking at you Book 3), it's still a nearly perfect series in my eyes. Amelie has managed to capture tropes that I honestly dislike (book 2 has "reformed player" and book four has "spicy lessons") and make them SO good that I end up eating up everything she write. ALL of the books are in the lengthier side, but they don't feel like it. NOT ONE BIT. The characters, their stories are sweet (and hot), and they are characters that you end up caring for SO MUCH, which is why I am grateful that each book have cameos of the other characters as we go on with other stories.
Ok, Already At Risk: The 4th book follows Natalie and Cam, a forbidden romance between a lawyer and his client. They have been in each other's orbit for a long time, so much so that they had already spent some...quality time together (IYKYK) six months prior to becoming lawyer-client, something that never in their wildest thoughts they thought was going to be possible. Yet here we are! The story progresses, their chemistry grows and their romance has become my favorite of the series so far. I adored them, how they communicate with words and actions. The relationship never felt one sided because their chemistry was perfect. They balanced each other out so well. Of course Cameron has been down bad since that fateful night with the mystery girl, but he moved at Natalie's pace, even when he risked so much. Natalie, oh how I love you. She was so strong, so caring and seeing her open up after all she has been through was beautiful, refreshing and inspiring. DV has many forms, and getting out of it is not easy, it can be isolating, lonely. But seeing her fight and allow herself to heal and move on was wonderful. OF COURSE, she had a family around her that helps her, but at least she acknowledges her privilege and never takes it for granted. What can I say, I loved them together...I LOVED them so much as individuals. Chloe, you are a star and you are so deserving of love.
Can't wait to see what is next for this series although I have a sneaking suspicion as to whose story we are seeing next.
Again thanks to Amelie for the ARC. All the opinions are my own.
I knew this one was going to be my favorite of the series, not just because a single parent trope gets me every time but I just knew these two characters where going to have the best chemistry. And I was right, the missed opportunity, the second chance, the secret meet ups, all adds up to the best love story.
The writing was top notch, the spice scenes HIT and the buildup of love was done perfectly. Nothing felt forced or rushed, all came with due time as did the perfect ending.
I don’t feel you need to read the whole series to get to this book but would recommend only because the other characters and their stories are all equally great!
Amelie strikes again! I was so excited for this book i was not disappointed! I love all the characters :Choe is adorable and clever; cameron i don't know where to start but i think my favorite part was natalie the way she unrevealed and just bloom !
The chemistry between the main couple out of the roof ! I enjoyed the past/present time and the epilogue was the cutest it bought tears to my eyes !
#Review: *Already At Risk* - Amelie Rhys - ARC [18+] 4.7/5✨ 3/5🌶️
So darn grateful for being part of Amelie's permanent ARC team😍. That made it possible for me to receive this heart-warming book, which really melted my heart.
Natalie was a single mom and only one night out changed her life. How so? She met Cameron in a bar, where things started sizzling between them. But Natalie wasn't prepared for something new, nor for a fling. Several months later and these two would find out that they need to keep everything professional because now Cameron was Natalie's attorney. When her ex husband, Korey, threatened to take the full custody of their daughter, Natalie has put herself in fighting mode but it was pretty impossible to ignore the feelings Cameron ignited inside her. Will they be able to keep things professional? Will they ignore everything that begun brewing between them to not put in jeopardy the main thing Natalie wanted to fight for?
This was such a lovely, relaxing and fun read! It had some sensitive topics too, but they weren't that heavy. I adooored that continuous tension which was present between Cameron and Natalie 😍. The forbidden love was exactly what I really enjoyed most, being one of my favorite tropes lately. You just couldn't be affected by that magnetic pull prezent when these two were in each others proximity. I also loved the sweet connection which was created so smoothly between Cameron and Natalie's daughter, Chloe. They were super fun together and it was so endearing to see how much Cameron cared about her in such a short time (available the other way around🤭).
I'll always enjoy so much a forbidden love, adoring that feeling of angst which comes with it. It was nice that we had a mix of emotions, completing this story so well as a whole.
"He sounded so sure, but that was always how he sounded. 'I know what I want, Natalie.' You. He didn't say it, but I heard it anyway."
I'm crying so much from the absolute perfection of that epilogue that I don't even know how I'm going to write this review! This book was everything I wanted and needed, the perfect blend of characters loving, caring for each other and also being hot. There is just so much love and care spilled into this book that I am overwhelmed with emotion. First of all I am not a big fan of spicy lessons trope (she says as she continues to read books with this trope lol) but it is done perfectly and woven through their emotional journey seamlessly. Cameron was absolutely PERFECT, no notes, a perfect specimen (cherry on top - he is bisexual and biracial) just read the book and you will get it. And Natalie was amazing, I want her as my best friend because she is so strong, cool, caring and kind. What made me cry the most is the little family they built and how much Cameron loved not only Natalie but also her daughter. It is making me cry again, but single parent books tend to forget how important the kids are once you start something new with somebody but the author and the main characters never lost sight of that.
oh to make a life with Cameron Bryant and to have him call me baby! this book, Natalie’s growing comfort and ease, Cameron’s assurances and safety, was so special!!
God I adored this with my entire heart!! 🌻💛✨ Thank you always and endlessly to my girl Amelie for the advance review copy; it is such an honour being part of your ARC team and being on this incredible journey with you. Opinions expressed in this are entirely my own.
Wow, wow, where do I even start with this?! I feel like I have said this with every Wildflower book, but it's so true and a testament to how incredible Amelie's writing is because I really do have the best with her books. Her characters are just so authentic, and real, you can't help but just fall for them as they fall in love, and I quite literally feel as if I am right there with the experiencing everything that they are experiencing.
I really had such a great time reading Cam and Nat's story, and it’s one I’ll especially hold close to my heart. Just with how tender and easy things were between them, they balanced each other so well. I loved how even when facing conflict their quiet love for each other never wavered. I loved how patient and attentive Cameron was when it came to Natalie, but also with her daughter, Chloe. He really was the stability that they both needed.
Cameron Elijah Bryant, the very man that you are!! The quiet confidence of this mad that was the calm to Natalie's storm, as she tried navigating her custodial battle of her daughter, Chloe— who quite literally stole the show, might I add!! I'm almost sorry to say that Cameron has dethroned Noah as my favourite mmc of the Wildflower series (sorry, Noah, you're still my favourite London brother... at least for now!)
The story is beautifully told, there are so many tender moments shared, but my favourite would have to be the epilogue; it brought me to tears. I think it's one of the sweetest epilogues I have read and a real treat, it was just really lovely. My heart is just so full for them!!
I’m completely obsessed with these characters, this world Amelie is creating, and continuing to build, and Cam and Nat's story was no exception. It’s such a lovely addition to the series so far, and I cannot wait for everyone to meet them and fall in love with them like I have.

Pre-read September 2025: Cameron Bryant competing for the title of the best mmc in the wildflower series; enter the chat with the hottest nickname; he calls Nat mama 🧎🏽♀️😮💨
10/10 no notes needed, GIVE THIS MAN HIS FLOWERS 🌻🌻
2.5⭐ Cam is weird, sorry, you're really going to put your whole career at risk over a girl you had a conversation with? Book 1 was total perfection but I haven't been feeling the rest in this series as much. Not into the whole "mama" and "inexperienced" tropes. The ex as the villain was very overblown, as was the commentary on Cam's bisexuality. Just felt pretty disjointed.
I enjoyed the storyline and the spice but for some reason this one just fell a bit flat for me. Cameron just wasn't my favorite MMC and I can't exactly pinpoint what exactly it was that I didnt like about him... 🤷♀️🤷♀️ The pacing was just a little strange in my opinion but it was still a cute book. It was fun to see all the characters from her previous books though.
because Korey is my least favorite person in this series I hate his name and believe he deserves every bad thing that comes to him.
Natalie is steady catching strays from her own daughter and I can't explain why it's hilarious.
I forget that Cameron's dad has passed away so when it's brought up, my feelings get hurt because that's sad. I hate that for him honestly.
the fact that Cameron takes his job so seriously and he's so good at it that people are typically not who they want to see walking in the courtroom because he's that good. that's hot honestly
if it wasn't already clear, I do in fact hate Korey, and I hope he gets every bad thing that comes his way. he deserves it. no doubt.
I would personally like to beat up Natalie's ex, he's a piece of crap honestly and the more I learn about him, the worse he gets.
I think we should all make greater efforts to watch hot men build furniture. it might make the world a better place 🤭.
Noah's overprotectiveness of his sister is one of my favorite things. he's already a grump, he's a grump that doesn't play about his sister. I still love him your honor.
I love all the brother's relationship with Natalie and how they are always in her corner. they don't play about her.
I know Korey isn't that smart, but I keep thinking, what if he were to hire a private investigator and their cover was blown. I don't like this risky odds of potentially messing up your job or this case.
Sully is one of the best side characters in this series. I just love him. he's funny. as the youngest sibling, I get him
I feel the weight of Natalie cool mind back from that tough shift like I was there. there's certain things that happen in books that physically affect you and this is one of those.
I love that Cameron is so open and comfortable in his sexuality with Natalie. I also like that she's accepting of him because a lot of people judge men for being with both men and women, but praise women for it. it's honestly the oddest thing, but I love this bit of representation.
I love Cameron's family, I wish we saw more of them. I love the talks he has with his mom and his grandfather is so precious.
"oh well, rip to all Korey's hopes and dreams." and this is why Noah London reigns supreme and is still my favorite. he's absolutely hilarious
my only qualm with this book, and this is a personal issue, was the way Cameron was openly risking his job. I didn't like that because the realist in me kept thinking, "what if someone sees them" or "what if her ex hired a private investigator?" I knew things would work out for them in the end, but I was stressed. I love their entire relationship dynamic and how Cameron respected her; especially after she got out of relationship where her ex didn't respect her as a partner, a parent, or a professional.
Chloe and Sully were genuinely my favorites this entire time. I also thought that Cameron would take Noah's spot in this series, but Noah is still number one for me 🤭

Thank you, Amelie, for the arc of Already At Risk, out now <3333
Amelie, as someone who adores this series more than words can say, you blew it out of the water with this one. This one had me so enthralled and so obsessed I was hanging on to each word.
The way you wrote Natalie and Cameron truly was so special. Seeing the way they interacted with each other, their needs, their wants, their desires, their communication, truly just every single thing about these two had me so in love with their love and I don't know what it was but this one was so different to the other books in the Wildflower series. In a beautiful way! Like I loveeeeee all the other books, but this one felt different, it had a different air to it, a different voice. Kind of like Amelie needed to get the story out and she did so in such a perfect way.
There's something about a man who is confident but also shy and wants a woman so bad but also doesn't want to push her, that's so damn hot. Cameron had a mouth on him *whew* my 150 highlights could prove that. The buildup from the way they met, to their next interaction and then their lawyer/client relationship was the smoothest thing I have ever read. Seriously, everything about this book was perfect. Cameron's personality was just everything. He was a flirt, but not in a cocky way, more of a self-assured fake it till I make it until I get my girl way. He was also just such an overall incredible person. He didn't wait for things to get done for the people he loved, he stepped up and made sure they didn't have to think twice and already have it done. He's a cinnamon roll character who also knows not to let anyone step over him and has his dom side come out when he's with Natalie ;)
Natalie being a trauma surgeon??? Bad ass! My girl went through shit with her ex-husband who eww is trying to get custody over their daughter, because ofc men who don't do shit want to prove their ego afterrrrrr wasting so much time. I seriously love Natalie. Her hobbies, her personality, the way she thought, ahhh she's just so precious. To see time and time again she now finally had someone who would be her arms and head when she couldn't stay up. Someone who knew she can do it alone because she has been, but to also be there with her so she didn't have to be.
No, but truly. Amelie, this series is such a comfort. And they all continue to be incredible and so beautifully done. Thank you for writing women who have gone through shit, finding their way after. And finding who they are for the first time or finding themselves again. And thank you for writing men who allow them to do, be and feel so so freely. I can't wait for all that's still to come <3 !

ARC REVIEW- ALREADY AT RISK Stars: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5
Tropes: 💚Single Mom 💚Lawyer MMC x Trauma Surgeon FMC 💚He Falls First 💚Green Flags Everywhere 💚Spicy Lessons ___________________ Thanks to Amelie Rhys for the ARC! I received an advance copy of the book as part of Amelie's ARC Team and am leaving an honest review. All opinions are my own. ___________________ I SEE GREEN EVERYWHERE. I am in love with Cameron Bryant and I don't care who knows it. HE'S ABSOLUTE PERFECTION. Amelie Rhys only gets better with each book and she has completely outdone herself with Already at Risk, book 4 in the Wildflower series. I bow down to you, queen.
Cameron and Natalie meet each other 6 months before the start of the book and have a chance encounter at a bar. They part ways before much of anything can happen but both are thinking of each other after that night. That is until Natalie becomes Cam's client as her lawyer in a custody battle with her ex.
This book had me at its mercy from the start. I was fully invested in Cam and Natalie and turned page after page to see them get closer to each other. There's definitely attraction, undeniable chemistry but also genuine respect and admiration for each other there. They are honestly perfect together and for each other.
Cam is the poster child for "if he wanted to, he would" and total green flag book boyfriend. He gets along well with Natalie's daughter Chloe and has such a cute relationship with her. He is there, both physically and emotionally for Natalie and is such a support for her. He's everything you could want in a partner.
Natalie comes such a long way in this book. She learns what it can be like in the bedroom with Cam's "spicy lessons" and what it can be like having a true partner in life. After treading water through life as a single parent and trying to do it all, she allows herself to fall and rely on someone else who isn't one of her brothers.
I can't hype this book enough. It's sweet, it's spicy, it heals you. I loved everything about it. No notes. 10/10. Perfection. Add Cameron to your book boyfriend rotation and read this one.
Rating: 4.5⭐ Spice: 3🌶️ FMC: Natalie London MMC: Cameron Bryant
Damn, Amelia. You have talent. Every single book is better than the last one. Absolute masterpiece this was. Both characters were written beautifully, and I couldn't get enough of them.
The chemistry, the tension, the love, and the spicy scenes were all absolute magic. Natalie was a strong, independent single mother who had to fight for custody of her daughter because her narcissistic ex still wanted controle over her. But she also wishes to find out what she likes and wants in the bedroom.
And Cameron was a man who knew what he wanted and would fight for it. He fell for Natalie on a very deep level, and he wanted what was best for her and Chloe. He was such a gentleman with a heart of gold.
I enjoyed every single moment between them, and they warmed my heart over and over again. It was such a beautiful story about trust, love, and struggles of life.
I have a feeling (not exactly sure) that we are gonna get two more books in this series, and I can't put into words how excited I am for 'hopefully' the next one. The two characters definitely already spiked my interest.
Also, I was curious if Cameron could kick Noah of his throne. He didn't, at least not for me 🙈 Even in this story, Noah was amazing, and daddy Noah was heart eyes. I just love Noah London so much, and I think he will always be my number 1.
Thank you, Amelie Rhys, for the ARC copy. I was so happy and excited to be able to read and review Natalie and Cameron early. I really appreciated it ♥

There's just something about this little world that Amelie has concocted that I absolutely love. There is such a beautiful found family element in here that just warms the heart.
I've loved every book in this series so it's not surprising how much I enjoyed this one!
I absolutely loved the forbidden/secretive trope in this. I love a good sneaking around and this was just done so deliciously.
The plot was so fun and made for such a juicy story. Natalie is fighting for custody for her 9 year old daughter, Chloe. What she needs is a kickass lawyer to help her win the case. What better man for the job than Cameron Bryant. They think they're about to meet for the first time to go over the case but when Natalie enters his office she realizes he's the guy from the bar 6 months ago she regrettably walked away from. Can these two ignore the past while still maintaining a professional relationship? I ate this shit up.
Cameron and Natalie were such a beautiful pairing for each other. They balance each other out incredibly. I just love their communication and chemistry. Their flirty banter will have you swooning and the spice in this? HOT.
We also get so many fun cameos from past characters AND we get a really adorable character, Chloe, Natalie's daughter. The way she looks up to Cam melted my heart. It was so sweet and wholesome.
At times I felt like this book was really long but I was so entranced that it didn't matter. All I wanted was for Natalie to win in the end.
I really loved this addition to the series and I just know we're not done yet! There are more London's to be talked about and I can't wait!!
The way I have been waiting for this book since the moment we met Cameron in Alive at Night!!! Always knew he would be my fave in this series and he is by far my new top fave book boyfriend of all time!!!! Absolutely feral for him
How can i even put the perfection of this book into words???? I loved every moment and it’s 100% my fave of the series! Honestly was everything I needed and more!
Cameron love of my life Bryant, the man that you are. The way he cares for Natalie and is always making sure she’s looking after herself and before they’re even dating he’s washing her hair and making sure she gets to bed okay after a particularly hard shift🥹 The fact he calls her Sunny, Sunshine and Mama!! Also, the mouth on this man?!🫠 I love his love for Natalie but also Chloe! He always takes her into consideration no matter what and he just genuinely adores her! I love that he calls her champ🥹
I’m so in love with Natalie! She’s such a great mum to Chloe and just so kind to everyone around her! I was really rooting for her the whole way through and just wanted her to get the love she deserves! I really liked that even though she wasn’t looking for a relationship she didnt fight her feelings for Cameron and just went with it and let it progress naturally! He was always so open with how he felt towards her and I love that she had a safe space with him.
That epilogue?!
Their first date where he rents a planetarium for her to see the stars😭😭 Also, the fact they meet in the bar his parents met?! I can’t cope!
Sorry but multiple men in this series taking their girlfriend’s surname?! I’m so obsessed! The fact Cam took Natalies because he had always promised her that he would never isolate her from her family like Korey did😭
I love this series and every single character so much! The London boys are so protective of Natalie and Chloe, I love it! I was so excited when Juniper took over the case!!! What a woman!! I can’t wait for Sully’s book which I’m assuming will be second chance with Ellie👀 and can’t wait for Theo and one of Julian’s sisters👀
Ergh, I never want this series to end
Definitely one of my top reads of the year! Haven’t stopped thinking about it since i finished reading!
this was cute, it was funny, it was SPICY and full of tension! this man is down bad for natalie and i love it. he falls first and HARD (as he should because natalie is amazing). he really cares and supports natalie and her daughter which was sweet. i love and adore amelie’s writing and way of immersing the reader into the story. i enjoyed the characters including natalie’s daughter chloe, she was a joy. it does touch on deeper themes of emotional domestic abuse in a former relationship which was handled gently from amelie. please read the full content notes.
cameron has spent the last six months working toward the same two goals: become the youngest junior partner at the law firm he works at and find the woman he spent the night with six months ago. considering his next client is the sister of his colleague’s friend, he’s not really worried. until that very client walks into his office, and he immediately realizes its the woman from six months ago. natalie is a single mom and trauma surgeon and despite meeting the perfect man that night, she wasn’t ready for the way he made her feel. now she doubts she’ll ever cross paths again until her ex-husband files for more custody of their nine-year-old daughter, chloe, and her new lawyer happens to be someone she’s met before. their relationship is supposed to be strictly professional, but will they be able to resist?
tropes: client x lawyer, spicy lessons, he falls first, single mom, protective mmc, dual timeline
