Little Wolf

Rate this book
When twenty-three year old Tala Velsik appears in a last minute performance art piece, she has no idea that public nudity will be the least of her worries. Wearing nothing but silver paint and a pair of antlers, her body is bared to hundreds of eyes, but one penetrating stare simmers through the others, Adrian Caro.

Adrian Caro is one of the world’s most famous directors and photographers, but with striking features and a body made for sin, most would guess he belonged in front of the camera.
Of course, the last thing Tala needs is romance, even with a walking Adonis. Mounting bills, a dead end job and a set of childhood memories most therapists would pale at; love is low on her list. Assuming, of course, her new admirer allows her to have a say in the matter.

Shocked yet thrilled by Adrian’s passionate domination, Tala can’t help but feel she’s standing on quicksand. For all his wealth, fame and talent, Adrian is tormented by his own demons; hiding secrets big enough to destroy them both.

This book is intended for mature/adult audiences only. Disclaimer: Dark/Mature themes some may find difficult to read.

What will happen when these two worlds collide?

Little Wolf was an in-betweener for me. While I did like it general, I also did hold some reservations about it as well.

So, what I liked. The mystery, the suspense, and the sex!! There is an awful amount of uncertainty in regards to Adrian—his background and his intentions with Tala. As a reader you feel totally in the dark in regards to his motives and what is going on in his mind and how he and the frail Tala were going to pan out. It was puzzling and very intriguing.

I also enjoyed the thrill of sexual exchanges between Adrian and Tala. It was quite enigmatic and sizzling. And yet, perplex.

As for my dislikes. Well actually, it was not that I disliked anything, but rather I would have liked to see more going into these certain aspects. For me, Tala, was a little too subdued. While I did understand her character’s history and molding, I wish she didn’t allow herself to be such a doormat to Adrian and would have stood up for herself and been more active toward forging her own future.

As for Adrian--- His characterization served as a double-edged sword. While I did like the mystique appeal that his character gives, I actually would have liked to see more personality to him, had a little more explanation and elaboration in regards to his feelings toward Tala; in addition to, seen more of a build up between him and her getting to know each other, and then seeing them ultimately fall in love.

~I guess in entirety, I would have liked to have seen just more about him period. It would have explained a couple of tidbits I was confused about.~

And lastly, Adrian and Tala as a couple. While I do love Adrian and Tala over all, their "romance" seemed to move at an abnormal rate. Everything seemed lust driven with a lot of hang ups and short changes when it came to the dialogue and getting to know nitty-gritty about each other-- to proclamations of everlasting love. But hey, that’s just me guys.

Other than that, everything was good. Especially the exotic setting set in Somalia! Loved that and the exposure I got to see into that country and culture!! How very cool!

Until next time, readers!! Be on the look out for upcoming author, Amélie S. Duncan!! She is definitely one of those fresh author voices to be on the lookout for! And btw, please consider a Sergio and Monique book since I’m pretty curious about what is going on with them. *begs* Great debut hun!

I'm out!!

This was an okay read for me. There wasn't much depth to either of the main characters, and I found myself scratching my head in regards to some of their behaviors. Tala was just under Adrian's spell most of the time, and it was to the point where she was rendered speechless and stupid at times, unable to make decisions for herself--a quality I find infinitely annoying. Adrian was portrayed as mysterious, and while I understand that the lack of information we're given on him was on purpose, I do wish we had a little more insight as to why he behaved the way he did.
Their romance was a lust-driven whirlwind with a little danger and angst thrown in the mix.

This book was an unexpected find for me. I usually am pretty selective in what I read and review - however when I discovered this new author and read more about her book, I was hooked. I had to get my hands on it right away, I knew it would be one that I would want to sink my teeth into. And boy was I right. Little Wolf is a dynamite debut book for Amelie Duncan, one that erotic romance lovers will devour. Adrian Caro, mysterious and sexy, he has all the right attributes to have you swooning at his feet and bending to his every command. And that is exactly what happens to Tala in this book - once his sights are set on her, there’s no scampering off to Grandma’s house, she is marked as his.
I knew he was challenging me and that I should resist, but my body was already yielding to him.

Tala Velsik leads a sheltered life. Challenged with paying for round the clock care for her mentally ill mother, doesn’t leave her a lot of time for a life for herself. Running from the demons of past abuse at the hands of her mother has left her vulnerable to emotional connections, avoiding them at all costs. When Jax, her surrogate brother puts her up to starring in his debut art show - she has no idea that her left is about to change. Oblivious to the fact that the big bad wolf sits in the audience, patiently waiting for his chance to pounce and stake his claim. Lured by his enticing invitation of a job on a photoshoot, she quickly finds herself across the world thrust into a new life with a handsome, famous director/photographer - Adrian Caro. While fame isn’t important to her, financial security is and she can’t let this opportunity of a better life pass her by.
Here he was, a man who didn’t know me, demanding control. But not to harm me. No. He was intent on taking care of me.

Adrian Caro is a domineering man who knows what he wants. Living a life in the spotlight denies him the right to find the perfect woman, a woman who he can love and protect from the despicable world of the Hollywood rich and famous. When he first lays eyes on Tala, he knows she is the only one for him - nothing will stop him from claiming her and making her his own. I loved, loved, LOVED the relationship between these two. Adrian’s authoritative ways are just what Tala needed to feel the love she desperately craves but never seeks out. Years of feeling unworthy come crashing down the longer they are together. And for the love of everything - the love scenes are SCORCHING! Adrian - ladies, he can be the wolf in my story any day ;)

This book was such a great read. I loved the intensity behind Tala and Adrian’s story, the way they both needed each other to heal. And the suspense! There’s a twist in this story I never saw coming, and as a reader - that is definitely something I love.

Congratulations on a kickass first novel Amelie Duncan - can’t wait to see what you have lined up for us next.

Little Wolf, Amelie S. Duncan
Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews
It’s always difficult to know what to expect from a debut novel, but this sounded like something I’d enjoy so I agreed to review it. Well, I was  really pleased, an unexpected treat. Its a great read, sensuous and steamy, but with sex scenes that back up a good storyline. Too often in erotic romance we get lots of heated sex interludes, set within a very sparse and dull storyline. Not here I’m glad to say!
Tala, she’d had a tough time but wasn’t one of those simpering, handwringing, “poor me” types, but a strong young lady who just got on with life. She’s working seven days a week to pay for her mum’s care home, even though she had spend a great deal of her childhood in foster care, and her mum hurt her badly both mentally and physically. She still bears scars from both. Mum is ill though with schizophrenia, and Tala understands now that her actions were because her medication wasn’t being taken correctly. Amelie says in her author notes she's a background in mental health and it shows, as even though everyone will react differently, the scenes where Tala remembers her childhood are very vivid and realistic. Its a sad thing, mental illness and even more distressing that its still a no-no to talk about, people are scared by the idea and yet it can happen to anyone, and those affected need help not condemnation. That’s my rant over  Tala is very forgiving in seeing that, when directly affected it must be hard for a child to cope, and harder to let it go as an adult but she does it and supports her mum, doing the best she can for her. There’s just her and mum though, dad has never been around, and her only other close friend/relative is her foster brother Jax. Its to help him she agrees to take part as a last minute addition to save his art show.
Adrian is there, and soon as he sees her he wants her. Tala doesn't know who he is, and at first says no to his request to photograph her. He’s very pushy and it frightens her, but fearful that refusing will mean Jax losing his slot at the gallery she agrees to a shoot thinking its just a couple of days. Adrian has other ideas though.....
What I really liked was Tala isn’t afraid to stand up for herself, and does, only finally giving in trying by to help Jax. Adrian is very clever the way he gently stretches the boundaries, so first she agrees to the shoot, then the weekend stretches into a bit longer. Equally the personal side, she’s very very attracted to him, and thinks she can have a short, hot fling and that will be it. She’ll just say thanks very much when the shoot is over and go home, after all its only a couple of days and the extra money will be useful for the expensive care home fees. Adrian is clever though as I said, and the weekend becomes several weeks, and goes from US to Paris, ( only as far as the airport though!) then on to Senegal.
Its an idyllic life there and soon Tala is hooked on Adrian, and doing whatever he wants. Sometimes she thinks to herself why is she agreeing to this, and challenges Adrian on his demands, but he’s very deft the way he makes everything seem so reasonable. To be honest he’s quite a manipulative man, and if I didn’t feel his actions were moved by his feelings for Tala I’d dislike him. I can’t seem to pinpoint a place where Tala accepted that he’d be in control and she’d do what he said, and for me that was really cleverly done, as it shows just how subtle he was at getting his own way. I feel its not really intentional, just the way he’s always been and for some reason needs to be.  Even though he doesn’t seem to want to admit it to himself its clear to me he’s in love with Tala, and she him, but he doesn't do that kind of relationship, doesn’t date etc because of all the publicity problems he’s had in the past, just has a series of short, hidden affairs much as he’s having with Tala. This time though he’s caught...and then things go awry.

I really felt for Tala when that happened, it wasn’t unreasonable what she did, and Adrian and the others reactions were OTT considering Tala hadn’t been told more about the situation. She and Adrian don’t even got to have a proper row over it – in his usual way he just does what he wants, and disappears leaving her in Senegal. Then she does something that leads her into real danger. This part – the disagreement and subsequent consequences worked really well. I do like the drama side, the “down” part to play out and cover more than just a couple of pages, and here it lasted long enough to satisfy my love of the drama, my need to feel distraught for the characters.
Its got a perfect ending but...the only downside for me is that I still didn’t feel they were in a place where they’d sorted out their communication problems, and I worry that it could happen again...maybe scope for another book? I’d certainly be up for reading it, as I think they’re a perfect couple but still in the making, and I could see more problems through Tala being jealous of the ladies always coming on to him, and his not understanding why she’s so upset about it, and also his tendency to leave when he can’t control a situation. I think too there’s a story behind his need to control everything, even down to what she wears and where she goes. Something must have happened surely to leave him needing to be in control of everything?

Stars: Five, great debut read.

Well I differ a little to Rob, I completely feel this is a good solid 4 star read. Maybe it's the woman's perspective I don't know but I like Tala, I liked that even with her past she didn't let it rule her, she's a survivor through and through and I feel a bit of a chameleon too. I did connect with her on an understanding level. I did find some of her compliancy a bit aggrevating sometimes for want of a better way of putting it.

Adrian, oooh now he's one of those love to hate, hate to love kinda a guys, very manipulative, gets his own way all the time but there a lot too him, he's an enigma I feel lol. He actions are often very questionable. He frustrated me a fair bit.

The secondary characters were great, although at times I was a little confused by their personalities. Sophie seemed to live in the clouds, Monique's personality could have been deeper. The woman that were in Adrian's life were a nice touch to bring out the jealousy side. I wondered at the start what role Tristan was really there for as he disappeared as quick as he was in the book.

There Is a lot that goes on in this book, I agree with Rob about the coercion factor but I feel Tala was compliant to start with for her own reasons. The situation towards the end I felt was a little rushed and could have been expanded a tad and how Tala reacted to Adrian at the end had me feeling a little frustrated too. But I like that; I like a book making me question areas.

All in all though, this story gripped me, held my attention and brought out emotions and after ths I look forward to reading more from this author.

I should also mention I totally agree with Rob - this book was indeed hot when it got to those scenes my kindle was having a bit of a meltdown.

I received a copy of Little Wolf in return for an honest review. My reviews are my own and 100% honest.

I wasn’t sure what to rate this book or how to review it because I am still a little bit confused about some things in it.

Firstly, I felt sorry for Tala. She was doing so much to keep the money coming in to support her mother that it was obvious that when she was offered a large amount of money by Adrian, to pose for pictures, that she would take him up on his offer. We find out more about how this all came about later on in the book and that is what made me a bit sad. I felt she was betrayed. She was portrayed as a bit of a mouse, a bit of a doormat. Maybe it was the sexual aura of the alpha male Adrian that made her leave her values behind. I never found Tala to be fully on board with the whole situation. Although there was no dubious consent, it was all consensual, I felt a lot of the time she was coerced.

As for Adrian, well I got to the end of the book and still didn’t feel like I knew him or his motives. Yes he searched her out but I was never sure if he was going to go all kinky Dom on her or what to expect.

The author maybe needed to lengthen the book and put in some more background information about Adrian. Alternatively, the thing that happened near the end could have been removed as I felt it was an unnecessary addition to the story, even though that was the circumstance that tried to offer an explanation of all the connections.

This was a 3.5* for me but I’m rounding it up to a 4* because 3* is too low because the book certainly kept my interest, unfortunately, I didn’t engage with the characters. The author is new to me and I would certainly look out for their future books even if it was just to read the sizzling sexy times!

If you looking for a book with some really steamy scenes and a great story line, this is the book for you! I’m going to keep my review short and sweet as I’m not sure what to say without giving too much away.

Tala has had a lot happen in her life that has made her a stronger woman. She has walls so strong that no one can get through she doesn’t let in, but once you’re in, she’ll do almost anything she can to help you when you’re in need.

Once she meets the drop dead gorgeous Adrian, her life changes. Instead of Tala taking care of everyone and not worrying about herself, she doesn’t fight when Adrian tries to take care of her. Though she likes control, she doesn’t fight when Adrian takes over, but she isn’t willing to give it up fully like Adrian wants. Adrian is used to getting everything he wants and this may be one thing he doesn’t get.

Of course Tala can’t give in completely to Adrian without a fight. Will she realize it’s good to let someone take control every once in a while, or will she run scared because she isn’t sure this is what she wants? Will she miss out on something amazing just because she’s scared?

This book was great and I’m so glad I was given a chance to read it! If you’re looking for a quick read that will leave you hot and bother and with a great story line, hurry and pick this book up! I can’t wait to see what Amelie has in store for us next!

This book is alittle different then some books! It's not a boy meets girl and hea! It's more like girl works her buns off, does something nice for her brother, ends up being talked into a job and tries to figure things out first. Tala has had a troubled life, she works hard doing whatever she can to make ends meet and pays for her moms medical issues, along with helping pay for her apartment that she shares with her brother! She does what she can to help the people that she loves without another thought! Then she helps her brother out on night and her life is changed, flipped upside down and she ends up confused as ever! In the the confusion she meets sexy Adrain! He is a in demand photographer that's in high demand in more ways then on! Twists, turns, amazing sex, control, lust and love this book is a great read!

he heroine and main characte of this book Tala is dealing with a very trouble life. Tala is a worker and she works hard at jobs that she gets to make ends meet helping out with her brother for an place that they share while her mother has to deal with medical issues. Tala's character is written as a let me do whatever I can to help kind of person always thinking of other.

Well that's about to change after she meets Adrian Caro who is an in demand photographer who offers Tala a job photographering her. Adrain is one hot passionate domainate man who wants Tala not just to photgraph. You at times find you love him and then again at times want to hate him. More love than hate!

This debut book is written with twist, turns and some really hot scenes that the readers will definately enjoy along with some great secondary characters that made the book worth reading.

This book is quite an adventure. It's probably the best erotica I've read in the past 6 months but it's really so much more than that. The storyline the author offers is very compelling. It has a depth that you don't normally see in books with primarily erotic content. Tala and Adrian are written perfectly and each character is confident and fallable enough to make this a completely believable story. It's heartwrenching ar times and wildy erotic at others. This is definately a book I would recommend.

This book made no sense and I had no idea what was going on.

I didn’t understand Tala and Jax’s relationship. I didn’t like Jax at all as he only cared about himself and only did things that would benefit him.

I had no idea what was going on. She doesn’t want to but somehow ends up going with some random guy who says that he has a job for her. Then things get a bit weird as it sounds a bit like the guy is kidnapping her, which is then made even weirder when she meets a couple who drug her. After that, she goes back to saying that she’s doing a job for him.

I didn’t like the characters and I didn’t like how unclear this book was.

What did I read? Seriously, what did I read?! This story is fooleywang. A crazy “love story”. I don’t get it but I do. This story definitely has some 50 Shades and Crossfire to it but doesn’t deliver. This story doesn’t work for me. Tala and Adrian needed more conversations to build trust. There are side plots that are dropped. Characters introduced and then dropped. The pacing was off and the ending will have you saying, “really?”

Meh.

“Little Wolf” is so much more than romance and erotica. Yes, the romance and erotica is definitely there and I will get to that in a moment. First, I have to commend the author, Amelie Duncan, for her ability to incorporate the complex family dynamics that run throughout this story. Tala is a young woman who endured great emotional and physical suffering as a child. Her mother suffered from mental illness and Tala was victimized at her hands. She spent much of her childhood in foster care because of her mother’s inability to care for her. Childhoods such as Tala’s usually lead young women down a path of self-destruction. Tala managed to survive and find the inner strength to endure and grow into a resourceful, determined and responsible young woman. Tala’s mother is now in a mental health facility and Tala struggles to meet the financial obligations required to care for her mental ill mother. The flashbacks of Tala’s childhood are intense and severe. Readers will be touched, saddened and angered at all Tala had to endure. Even though her mother’s mental illness contributed greatly to Tala’s childhood suffering Tala feels obligated to provide care for her mother. Anyone with parents who were emotionally unavailable, physically and mentally abusive or just downright bad may understand Tala’s struggle. They hurt you but you love them and feel obligated to care for them. In Tala’s case her mother’s actions were a result of mental illness but some children may not be quite as forgiving regardless of the circumstances. I was tremendously impressed with the way in which the author integrated this sub-plot into the overall story and how well she relayed her comprehensive understanding of mental illness and the effects parents with such illnesses have on children.

I liked Tala from the first moment. Her love and loyalty to her foster brother Jax led her to take action in financially assisting him in a way she never thought she would. However, if she hadn’t she would have never met Adrian, a worldy, wealthy, sexy famous director/photographer. I didn’t trust Adrian from the start. I was apprehensive of where there relationship would lead Tala and found myself both anxious and elated as Tala experienced life in a way that would not be possible without Adrian. Tormented by his own past, Adrian has a dark side and knows how to manipulate and seduce in order to get what he wants. As their relationship developed I was able to see that Adrian did truly care for Tala, but I still did not fully trust him. The romance and erotica is intense and the sex scenes are amazingly hot. Clearly, Adrian likes being in control and believe he holds the bulk of the power in their relationship. When Adrian’s past comes back to bite him Tala makes a decision that Adrian doesn’t like and he runs away like a little baby. That sets off a chain of events that leads Tala into serious danger.

This book has something for everyone…drama, suspense, intrigue and lots and lots of HOT sex. I felt the ending was absolutely perfect. Amelie Duncan has a gift for creating psychologically complex characters and has crafted a story that offers significantly more than the reader expects. “Little Wolf” has a depth and appeal lacking in other books within the romance/erotica genre and stands out as a fully satisfying read.

I gave this book 5 stars.
This is Tala and Adrian's book.

Tala is a woman who has had many things happen to her in life. They have not destroyed her they have made her stronger. She has walls up, but they are there for a reason. She has a huge heart and would do anything thing for you if you're in her inner circle.

Adrian is used to getting what he wants, whatever he wants whenever he wants. He wants Tala.

When they first meet she is stunned by how gorgeous he is, not knowing that he wants to get to know her. Right off you get to see how strong willed and determined she is, how much she loves the people she calls family..

Right from the start I thought she needed someone as domineering as Adrian in her life, Tala is a fixer and she tries to help everyone in her life. She doesn't stop to think of herself at all. She fixes and fixes and fixes. I think it keeps her sane that she seems to be in charge of everyone. BUT when it comes down to her who is going to take care of her? That is where Adrian comes in and that seems all he wants to do is take care of her. She doesn't fight him. At times she wonders if he is a little psycho, but for the most part I think she really enjoys being controlled by him, and I think it is because she needs to let go of the control in her life to someone. She is scared, but she learns to trust him and give him a big piece of her heart. BUT when a woman meets a man that is used to getting everything and anything that he wants what will she do when she finds out that she is one of those things that he just wont take no for an answer?

This book was amazing, I have been in a funk for a few weeks and was starting to worry that I wouldn't enjoy anything for a long time. BUT I devoured this book in about 6 hrs and it's not a short book. I was mesmerized by this couple and loved them from the very beginning .. There are some people that were in Adrian's life that I just wanted to smack but Tala does a good job of taking care of things that get out of hand.. I hope that this story will continue and we will get to see more from this couple and maybe a few of the others in the book.

Thank you Amelie for sharing your story with me! I enjoyed it so much! I look forward to reading more from you in the future.

“I was under Adrian’s spell and free falling into the unknown. He was like a drug. Every dose of his company left me feeling more addicted.”
~ Tala

I was very confused during most of this book but then many things were cleared up and I was wishing there was more to the book. I am still not exactly sure how I completely feel about this book overall...
Tala is struggling in life. She is trying to keep her head above water in some many aspects of her life. Ashe decides to help her brother out by agreeing at the last minute to help him with his art show. From there things get confusing and fast paced. She ends up in a situation she never thought possible. IN a limo on her way to somewhere out of the country with a well-known actor/photographer, but things really aren’t what they seem. I honestly was as confused as Tala throughout most of this book. His reaction to Adrian is understandable and I connected with her emotions and actions through most of the book but there were definitely times I questioned her sanity.
Adrian was a complete mystery to me and I had a hard time connecting with him at all. Until things were revealed and the first part of the book made more sense. Then he goes and does something that completely made me hate him for it. I was so mad about it but at least I was feeling something. Which I like when books make me feel any kind of emotion, even hate.
At this book in the book while I am hating Adrian for what he did, I become confused again about what is happening. I feel like this part of the book came out of nowhere and I wasn’t prepared for it to go in the direction it did. I honestly wished there was a little more to the last part of the book. I wish it would have taken up more of the book because it is the part that really caught my attention. I don’t want to say what it is because I honestly don’t want to ruin it for anyone who reads this book.

Overall it was a good book. There are parts that were rushed and I wish they would have been drawn out more but I still enjoyed the book. It was a different read.

I was a little disappointed with this book, not because it wasn't good, but because it could have been so much better. It didn't surprise me to learn that this was a debut novel because it felt so much less expansive than the author's later trilogies, which I adored.

If this book had been given the same amount of space to breathe as the trilogies I think it would have been superb. However, as that isn't what we got, I have to base this review on the actual book as it was written.

In a way, I wish I'd read this book first before the other works by this author because I think I would have enjoyed it so much more, because I wouldn't have compared it so much with the later works. There were still moments in this book where I got a lump in my throat, because the emotions felt so real and raw. The sex scenes were raunchy but believable, which made them that much more accessible and hot.

The style of writing is smooth and easy to read, the characters are interesting but they were all a bit "surface only". I don't feel like we really ever see into anyone's true heart or motivation, which is why I was slightly disappointed by the book. I want to understand why Adrian does what he does, and feels the way he does about Tala. It really isn't explained in a way that I truly grasp, Adrian's motives in essentially choosing a woman and taking her away from all her support systems and overwhelming her with the force of his personality into staying with him.

The plot felt a little bit forced because of the surface nature of the personalities in the book. If the characters were more deeply understood, then the plot would have flowed much more naturally. Having said that, I was gripped and read the book in one sitting.

So in summary, I liked the book, but felt short changed because I knew it could be more.

When Tala does her brother, Jax a "favor" to be in his art show, little did she know just how her entire life would change. Standing completely nude and painted in glitter she notices a tall, dark, and handsome man right in the front row. Who is this incredible man and why does she feel like he's calling to her?

Well this man is Adrian Caro, a well-known photographer & director in Hollywood. At 31 years old he is in very high demand for his work and with women. But Adrian sees Tala and decides he MUST have her. Plans are made without Tala's knowledge or consent for Tala to join Adrian across the world on a "photo shoot", but really it's for him to exercise his control in every which way of her life. Although Tala is scared and not exactly happy about this set up, she certainly cannot deny how her body and mind responds to Adrian. He's controlling and bossy and calculated, but he's also funny and cherishes her and makes Tala feel loved. Tala struggles with how much Adrian gives of himself to her, and also struggles to still be somewhat of an independent. Will she run or embrace this new way of life?

Little Wolf was a quick read with some really sexy and exciting parts. I really wished that I knew more about Tala's mother and her illness and how Tala was affected by it. And I also was hoping that some major parts of Little Wolf would have gone more in depth. But with that said it was good and I liked Duncan's characters.

I really enjoyed Little Wolf so much so I read the book straight through, beginning to the end. There were certain things I didn’t understand how it happened but, all was explained at the end of the book. This book has an HEA and is a standalone book.

Adrian is so sure of himself. An Alpha for sure! He is a famous photographer. Tala helped her brother Jax (not her biological brother) out by posing with just body paint and nothing else at Killian Gallery. Adrian saw Tala and wanted her. And, so it seems anything Adrian wants Adrian gets. Little Wolf is Adrians and Tala’s story.

Adrian calls Tala his “Little Wolf” which is the title of this book and what her name means Little Wolf. A little tidbit that was shared is “Tala means stalking wolf in Sioux”.

And, my oh my there are some very catty women in this book.

I was gifted a copy of Little Wolf for an honest review. I give this book 5 stars because I truly enjoyed Little Wolf and look forward to reading more from this author!

4 amazing stars!!!! This book was right up my alley. I love these dark and erotic books. I must admit it started out slow. Getting you familiar with the characters. Then BAM I was hooked. I couldn't get enough of Tala and Adrian.

The sex scenes are damn hot. And let's say there's quite a few of them in the book. Adrian's reminded me of the hot and every sexy David Gandy. This sexy tanned body of an Adonis. With those sparkling blue eyes. Tala this beautiful exotic looking cleopatra.

It keeps you on your toes. You're thinking okay is this just a hook up or is there something there. Then the ending you've got the nail biting and wondering what the heck is going on. But it ends perfect. Thank you for this beautiful story. I promise you'll enjoy it. Recommend it to anyone that likes a lil suspense and kink.

Well this was a horrible experience. I can get behind BDSM stories, I can get behind the whole ownership/call me master thing. In fact if I imagine it's me and Liam Hemsworth, you can basically sell me on anything and I'll hand over my money, my soul, and my firstborn for it.

But this... Nope. The build up of the relationship LITERALLY goes like this. Girl sees boy. Boy kidnaps girl under the guise of giving her a job. Boy says JK I OWN YOU, DO EVERYTHING I SAY OR I'LL JUST FORCE YOU ANYWAY.

That's end. End of book. There's some random family drama and such thrown in because... I don't know, I guess the author thought they needed plot (which would have been good if they had any to base it off of). The sex scenes are mediocre and very repetitive. The characters are idiots.

Nothing about this book is good or sexy or worth reading at all

Amelie Duncan’s “Little Wolf” is a smoldering hot read. Definitely add it to your “read with one hand” list. The chemistry and immediate reactions are amazing. Feels like something that would happen in a Kresley Cole novel. I love the first three quarters of the book – very sexy and impossible to put down. The ending needed a little editing for flow and drama in the version that I read. Maybe it’s just because I’m a paranormal junkie, but I would have loved for Adrian, the leading man, to have secretly been a vampire and Tala was his bonded mate or something hot like that for the ending! I think Duncan could write fabulous paranormal romances and I’m definitely going to see what else she has out there.

"Little Wolf" is the kind of drama filled erotic novel that manages to evokes emotion, from desire to nervousness, as Tala Velsik and Adrian Caro's relationship evolves. It's dark, tense, seductive, exciting, drama-rich and well worth the read. Amélie S. Duncan has a talent for grabbing the readers attention with tension that is rife with conflict and eroticism, crafting characters that feel real and multi-layered in a fantastic way. The writing is lush, provocative, fast-paced yet smooth as butter and leaves you feeling extremely satisfied in it's complexities. Overall, this was very enjoyable and has me eager to read more from the author in the future.

This was a great read. When I first read an excerpt I said that I needed more... So much more. I love how Adrian takes care of Tala, but at the same time I kind of hate some of his actions. The sex is super hot. I I love where the story takes place and the different people who participate in the story. I would have liked to have a couple of things explained better, but I won't complain. it has a great synopsis, and it's a great book.

This is not for me even I love alpha man like Adrian, there something missing. Hey! You can't solve everything by distracting your partner with sex! Even it's hot it's still mean. And I think there's book 2!

“I’m selfish. I don’t want you to leave. I understand if you need to, but it isn’t what I want. Did I win your heart, Tala? Even if you go, I need to know I had your heart. I need to know you loved me as much as I love you.”

One of the most pathetic main characters I have ever read

I have never left a review before but a little past halfway through the book the whole storyline just completely pissed me off. If I would have known how much the main character would let people run all over her and turn her into a person who cannot live her own life, I would have never read this. I like reading books with STRONG female characters. Not little pushovers who make excuses for the way a man treats her.

I have mixed feelings about this book... The beginning didn't make sense to me because it all happened too fast but then that was explained in the end of the book. I gies the biggest problem for me is how towards the end of the book it all turns incredibly rushed.. And it sort of leaves u hanging on the finale, I wished that could have been properly tackled .. The book has potential but after reading so many books I have come to developed certain expectations. This was just ok.

Thoroughly enjoyed this read. Although Tala had a difficult life with her Mom she was a survivor and i really like her character. Really loved Adrian who i thought was really sweet. Lovely also to read about a great and supporting family for him.
Looking forward to reading more from this author. Congratulations well written !
