I am a beta reader for this novel and was given the chance to read it chapter by chapter. Lacy does an amazing job with the character development. Each character she writes is unique. Lacy doesnt write stories along the same lines as most authors. With the watchers she has managed to push you out of your comfort zone and write what most wont. As a debut novel lacy has done am amazing job. Book two should be just as good.
The watchers follows the story of twin sisters lacy and lucy who find out that there is more to them then meets the eye. While they are twins they are both completely different in personalities, this book will take you on a journey of self discovery, love, heartache and imagination.
Well done Lacy and I cant wait to see what you will come up with next.

I dont normally read many paranormal stories and hadn't even read the blurb before opening this book so had no idea about what it was about. When I started reading and saw that it was in fact a paranormal story, I thought to myself 'this better be good or I'm not going to finish it'. Within the first page or two ,to my great surprise, the story got me in and wanting to keep reading. I finished it in two sittings.

Lacy and Lucy's story was told amazingly well and had you sitting on the edge of your seat. The story was told with feelings and heart and took you on a ride with the characters highs and lows.

I have now found a new author I will be following and making sure I read all her books.

This book features Lacey, Lucey and Rafe and it is a great read. It starts with a fun family afternoon out but then things change and it turns our Lacey and Lucey are more than your normal 19-year-old girls and things quickly move into the paranormal realm, more to the point another realm called Devilice where wolfs talk and people turn to smoke.

The book contains sexual tension between the characthers it gets hot, there is a real pull between them, it also has humour and great characthers. Each chapter comes from someone else's point of view, which is fine as it gave a rounded feel of all the main characthers.

The world building is done well and is mingled in with the developing story line. Talking storyline, this is the first in the series so there is more world building than further books and it is really an interesting world.

I loved Rafe and all his mystical friends. The men are rather dominant in this book, well they think they are, the women are strong and I would say they only submit in the bedroom and then it's rather hot.

This book features the phoenix shifters and watchers. The story has many twists in and is a real page turner and a recommended read.

Lacy LeRoch’s debut novel is simply brilliant. Watchers follows the story of twin sisters, Lacy and Lucy and the wild ride that becomes their life. Their journey into their magically awakened is fast paced and grabs your attention from the very first chapter. These twin are much like day and night when it comes to their personalities which only adds more complexity to the story as well as their perspective guardians. Oh, guardians you ask? Those aforementioned guardians… let’s just say, definitely know how to turn on the romantic charms on their ladies. You might want to adjust the thermostat down a few degrees before you start reading. While you up, I’d also suggest grabbing some tissues because this book will have you riding the crazy train of emotional rollercoasters before you close the book. Congratulations Lacy on not only enthralling me with your literary talent but giving us readers a wonderful new book to enjoy.

A MUST READ, SHIFTERS,WATCHERS,LYIAN,PHOENIX ,WEREWOLVES, BALD EAGLES, ALL KIND OF SHIFTERS

This book starts with telling you about twin sisters Lacy and Lucy. Lucy a bit of a daredevil and Lacy not so much at least in the last two years. In those two years she has taken to falling asleep where her family has a hard time waking her up,sometimes for hours. Their father will holed her and sing but Lucy can't really make out what he is saying and she doesn't understand why he pushes her away when she needs to be near her sister. But Lacy ,in her sleep world sees her beautiful dream world . In it she finds animals much larger then normal, and some even talk to her, in her mind. She sees a huge man that will talk to her but she can't really see him. He tells her about somethings about himself careful to never say to much. He couldn't break the laws of his people. Though since he started seeing her spirit come to the island he has ignored some of the rules ,but no one knew. With her family in the car going to the lake Lucy can't wake Lacy, her father has the mother park the car, he orders Lacy out of the car and he holds Lacy and starts to chant. It is not working, her father puts out a call for help, Three more watchers come, still not working so her father has Lucy try and when her voice went into a singing tone ,one of the watchers knew she was his but things as their law says not till 21, 4 more years. But as things go from bad to worse, some laws has to be ignored for the safety of the girls and everyone. What is the secret ? Who are the watchers? What are the watchers watching for? What is so special about Lucy and Lacy? If I answer any of these and many other questions,I would turn this into a spoiler. Just know I hope there will be more about this group. I will be waiting and Hoping.

The Watchers is my second shifter read and though it is not my genre, I am surprised when I lose myself in the story line. Since it is told in 4 POV, I found myself easily distracted and going back and fourth trying to remember whose story I am reading. That does not mean that I did not enjoy the fantasy that I took while reading it.

Twin sisters Lacy and Lucy find themselves lost in a their emotions and a world that their father tried to protect them from til the time was right. All their lives they never realized they had someone looking after them. The Watchers, guardians of the judadic council they are strong warriors, leaders, shifters and protectors. At the age of nineteen, no one would have ever expected the grows to connect to The Watchers with such a fierce heat that over takes their mind and body. Will Lucy and Lacy be able to handle the new loves and life that will be set before them?

Rafe, one of the leaders of The Watchers he holds a seat on the council and has had a growing connection to one of the sisters, one so powerful that needs questioning. His urge to protect and claim her as his own is distracting and may cause him to lose the woman he loves.

Bevan, a warrior and protector has been chosen to claim one sister but will he be strong enough to fight off a power that may be too strong for even The Watchers?

I admit I did get lost to this story and entered this realm of sexual passion, love, slight humor and intense battle. I did have to take off one star due to the female characters, I guess since they are young I was getting sidetracked with their bickering and whining. I wanted the action or passion to continue without going into the minds of the twins and their inner beings. I did enjoy this story and will be reading Warrior as soon as I can.

I REALLY enjoyed this book! It took me a hot second to get into it but when I did… I couldn’t put it down! Every single page brought something new to the story; secrets revealed, action-packed drama, alpha-love, teasers for the future… I ate it up & am so ready for a second helping because that cliffhanger is killing me.

So, the twins… I was completely heartbroken with what happened to Lacy. I almost wanted to scream at how unfair everything was. The incident in the past, the trickery she’s experiencing in the present & the small glimpse we got of the future… I NEED more happy for Lacy like yesterday! Can’t wait to see her wield the power of the phoenix & learn more about Jay & Kelan because… I NEED details on her possible love connection!

As for Lucy… Her relationship with Rafe was hot-to-trot! Loved the red haze that would overcome them when they were near each other, loved the “MINE!” mentality & loved the fact that they got such great news at the end. I just hope that her relationship with her mate doesn’t drive her sister away because it seems like her & Lacy are a bit too disconnected with one another at the end & that makes me a tad nervous...

Totally wish I could rip the bad guy a new one. The way they manipulated, lied to & killed people was horrific. It was devastating to see relationships broken up & people’s lives torn apart because of these things. You’d better watch your back baddie because The Watchers are on your tail!

Excited to jump into book two in the series, Warrior! Even though I think it focuses on Philli, I’m hoping to get some more resolution where Lacy is concerned!!

I was really impressed by this book! LeRoch has done a fabulous job creating a new world. A world that Lacy and Lucy never knew existed. A world filled with powerful, magical beings.

Lacy and Lucy are twins. They have an even closer bond than most twins, and feel the need to be with each other, and protect each other, at all times.
When Lucy is unable to rouse her sister from a deep sleep, their world suddenly changes. They discover The Watchers. And Lucy discovers Rafe.
Something about him, draws her to him. She can't explain it, having never felt anything like this in her life. As she tries to come to terms with her emotions, something happens to set them all on the path of redemption.

This is a book filled with intense emotions; love, hate, betrayal. And a story-line that keeps you hooked. I can't wait to read more from this author across the ditch.

Synopsis:

What would you do if your whole life changed completely in one day?

Sisters Lucy and Lacy find themselves in a world they never knew existed. They aren't typical nineteen-year-old girls but they are unaware of the magic buried inside.

Can the sisters overcome their fear and be able to move forward?

Lacy and Lucy have a hard road to travel after tragedy strikes. The girls are placed in the care of the Council, under the protection of the Watchers.
Will love be enough to help them overcome their sadness? Will Rafe be able to win the heart of the very quiet twin Lucy?

I loved this book.
This is the first paranormal book of Lacy's that I have read and I must say that I thoroughly enoyed it.
Her writing takes the reader into another realm, the realm of fantasy and dreams. It s fluid and so descriptive that you find that you never want to put the book down. I wanted to remain in that world and aid these characters in whatever way possible.

The characters in this story were exceptional.
Lucy and Lacy the twins were amazing - each different but each pulling the reader into their thoughts and experiences. I felt for these two young women, as their heritage was withheld from them. They both grew up thinking that they were strange, in comparison to those around them. Their faith in their father and their step mother was unfortunately betrayed - but that's for you to find out!!!

I loved Lord Rafe - he spent my heart spinning and beating very very quickly. His reaction to seeing Lucy was simply incredible. When I was reading it, I felt as though I was experiencing it with him. He is a shifter, I have read shifter stories before, but none have ever describe the emotions Rafe felt upon meeting his soulmate.

i have the next book Warrior - so now I am going to commence reading that -knowing that Lacy will not let me down with her story.

Winged watchers, shape shifters, girls with a phoenix trapped inside them, dragons, gargoyle-like creatures...if you like fantasy romance then you have found the next book you should read! This is more a 3.5 but I gave it the benefit of the doubt and went up to 4 because of the power of the sub-story with Bevan that you find out toward the end. Truly heart-wrenching and something that you can pick up on if you read carefully. It is such a fast-paced read, but you do need to slow down to catch the nuances of the relationships in the story. I was lost at the end the first time because I just tore through it...the second time I went through it much more slowly and found myself scrolling back and forth sort of nodding "I see what you did there."

Pros: interesting and unique story line, the character's internal dialogues and thoughts are fun/witty, you know what the characters are thinking and feeling at all times.

Cons: some will find the gaps in the story and jumping around in space/time hard to follow. But that is the nature of fantasy novels. You have to suspend your disbelief as you are going from the fictional land of Devilice back to earth with winged men deemed watchers who are ruled by their council.

If you can't go with the wings of the fantastical and prefer your romance grounded in the here and now, then this story isn't for you.

This was a very interesting story and I loved the concept of twins not knowing who or what they really were. Lucy and Lacy are thrown into a world they have not been prepared for and are really at a disadvantage. The mythical and magical elements along with the good and evil concepts made for an enchanting storyline. However, I have to say that I wish the author would have given them different names or names that were not so close as I had trouble keeping them separate and had to back track to make sure I had the right twin. The first couple of chapters were a struggle for me as we seemed to jump right into the middle of something that had been happening for some time and I felt I was missing important pieces of a puzzle. The quick acceptance that the girls showed to everything happening around them was a little unrealistic. I did however enjoy the characters and the story. The author did a good job reaching your emotions and having you connect to the characters. The farther into the story you went, the better it became but again if felt like we jumped from point A to point C and missed some important details that would have made it a better reading experience. The ending also seemed a little rushed and left you with questions and a cliffhanger. I would rate this book a 3.5 out of 5 stars and I do look forward to see where the author is going in book 2.

The Watchers (Twisted Sister Book 1) by Lacy LeRoch

4.5 Hashtags

This is my first read from this author and I wasn't disappointed. After a slightly slow start, this book had me hooked and completely immersed into Lucy and Lacy's world.

Twin sisters Lucy and Lacy know that they are different, they feel it's more than just the twin bond. However they are completely unaware of the extent of what's about to unfold. Without giving anything away this book is full of surprises and unexpected twists.

This paranormal read is twisted with some seriously hot chemistry, pulling this book away from the usual young adult paranormal. For me this was very nearly a full 5 star read, but sadly I found the beginning a little slow - however I am so pleased I carried on. I am really looking forward to reading more from this author and I'm eagerly awaiting Warrior the next book in this series.

I really wanted to give this story more stars, it has a great strong plot, but I just could not do it. I keep switching from 3 stars to 4 stars as I think with some editing, separate the 2 ladies each into their own book and some leading it would easily be a 5 star book.

But this young fresh writer tries to push both girls story at you in a complex twisted story. It has HUGE gaps where you turn the page back to see if you missed something. Chapter 1 ends and it jumps from a dream world to a trip in the city. Then you are right back in the country but flashing back into the city where the girls are put into danger.

The step mum has gone insane with no warning ... no lead up to it. I was disappointed with this book in so many ways. I struggled to finish it. It should be given a 3.5 star but there is no way to do that. Hopefully the writer will rewrite this and make it 2 storys, with some leading and make it a great book.

This book is captivating and brings you into another realm, a different world. Lacy's dreamworld is instantly somewhere you want to be. Full of color and shine, not to mention the out of this world men. Lacy and Lucy are twins who are complete opposites , but they share a twin bond like no one has ever seen. They are from dependent on each other. When life seems to be stacked against them they find it hard to believe that the tales they thought to be nothing but fairy talestheir father told them, are true. Will the sisters learn to go outside of their comfort zone? Will they find true love in its highest form? Rafe and Bevan are counting on them becoming what they've always meant to be. Even when it tries to get hidden, your true form will come forward. This book has so many wonderful elements to it that it's all consuming. The characters end up being your best friends. There's every kind of emotion you can have wrapped up in this wonderful book

When I started reading this book, in all honesty, I wasn't sure it was going to be my cup of tea - there are lots of different types of characters and my mind doesn't always work quick enough to keep up with what's going on! However, on starting reading it was one of those books that I just couldn't put down. I completely fell in love with Lacy and Lucy as well as the other characters, especially Rafe - the book is very descriptive and it was so easy for the characters and the places to come to life for me.

The only difficulty I'm having in reviewing this book is that I don't want to give any spoilers, some books claim to have unexpected twists and when you read it you think is that it? But this book surprised me more than once and I'm sure when I read it again it'll still be a good twist even though I know its coming!

Book two cannot be released quick enough for me!!

I was given a copy of 'The Watchers' from Lacy LeRoch, in exchange for an honest review.

'The Watchers' was my introduction to Lacy's books, what an introduction it was! At first I was a little confused with what was happening, but as the story progressed & you started to get the information coming, events started to make sense. The storyline flowed, the extra POV's helped mesh all the information that was needed. Twins Lacy & Lucy have lived a very protected life, knowing they aren't normal, one twin can dream of a different place, whilst the other feels when things aren't right. Nearing their 19th birthday they are moved to their fathers lake house where things are about to change forever.

I'll leave it there, I wouldn't want to spoil the experience for you. 'The Watchers' is book 1 in Lacy's new series "Twisted Sister", I definitely need to read the next book in this series.

I was given an ARC of this book to write an honest review.
This is a new author to me.
Twin 19 year old sisters, Lacy and Lucy, live a very protected life, even from their real history, with their father and mother. Knowing they are different to other normal 19 year olds their bond is even tighter. They begin their journey discovering their magical powers.
The author went into great depth building character descriptions and you, the reader, get to know them well. This takes you through a gambit of emotions within the story.
The second half was action packed and very exciting with some interesting twists however the first half was a little too detailed and at times confusing.
I am interested to read more in this series, the author definitely peaked my interest.

(Copy received in exchange for an honest review)
I had an opportunity to receive an ARC copy so once I’d read the description I immediately took the chance to read it as I knew straightaway this was my kind of story and I wasn't disappointed. I loved it right to the very end. I immediately felt connected to the story and characters, it took me on a wonderful journey that was hard to put down. It had a unique but interesting storyline that keeps you guessing and thinking about what will happen next. The only minor downside if it all was that because the twins had very similar names, it did get a little confusing at times and I had to keep thinking about which one was who. But other than that it was still a deserving 5 star story.
Can’t wait to read the next in the series!

A job well done Lacey! I really loved this book I couldn't put it down. I even read it on the bus to and from work. There was a lot of different emotions going through me whilst reading this. It really was a journey for us as a reader as well as a journey of love for the characters. I was so wrapped up in both of the sisters stories. I had an inclination that all was not what I seemed with Lacey and bevan especially when you saw the need between Lucy and rafe. I had a few 'I didn't expect that to happen moments' which kept me enthralled. The major cliffhanger has me desperate for book 2. I need to see if Lacey and jay end up mated and I need more of rafe!!!

Lucy and Lacy think they're just normal girls but nothing could be farther from the truth, as things unfold they find themselves at the centre of a world they never knew existed, there will be love, deceit, betrayal and death and it looks like this is just the beginning of what's to come !
This is an incredible read, it's unique and interesting, I was so totally absorbed in the story that I didn't want to put it down. There's plenty of intrigue and twists to keep you engrossed in trying to figure out who's who and guessing at what's going to happen.
Thankyou Lacy LeRoch for something different, I throughly enjoyed this book.

I absolutely loved this book. I was familiar with the mating concept because of Christine Feehan and all the shifter books I read, but I loved how much more in-depth this book was with the concept. I felt there were a lot of unanswered questions, the girls weren't given a lot of information. Hopefully, a lot of that will be answered in the next book as we are introduced to more of their world. I felt that there was a lot of the story that could have been explored more, but I am not counting off for that because I hope it was just not explored to give the author more to work with later. Overall, this was a great book and I cannot wait to see where this series goes.

I was asked to read The Watchers for an honest review.

I really enjoyed this book, it's filled with mystery and drama which will keep you thoroughly entertained. If you like sexy alpha's, The Watchers will not disappoint as it's filled with them.
The story is told in different characters points of views which I really liked.

Lucy and Lacy are twin sisters who gets a surprise of their lives when they find out there's a new world to discover and learn about.

The Watchers has a major cliffhanger but I can't wait to read the next installment.

I really liked this book. I would recommend reading it. Without giving any spoilers, I really wish the author would have given closure to one of the important characters. If any of the characters deserved an HEA, it was this one. Her outcome is left undetermined and is barely mentioned in the next book, Warrior. I'm holding out hope the character gets an HEA in Killer, but even that book is dedicated to the story of others. Don't get me wrong, this is a good series, I only mention this flaw because it really bothered me. Happy reading!

I loved Lacy LeRoch’s the Watchers. It was a fabulous book. The story follows twin sisters – Lacy and Lucy as they grow up and discover life. The story has a fast start- that can be just a bit hard to follow- but I was quickly caught up in the story of the Lacy and Lucy. This book is hot! Some spanking- very erotic- and sex. It was a real attention grabber and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for great one handed read.

What an amazing paranormal read! Really enjoyed this book right from the start! I liked the author gave different point of views and let us know how the main characters were feeling/thinking at the time. i felt the book went along fast and i actually liked that. some books drag out the story line but this one didnt. there was some action as well and we get to see some of the watchers in action. I am definitely one-clicking the next one in the series! this is a must read!

My first read by this author and it won't be my last. What an interesting tale it was, quite an original paranormal.
Lucy and Lacy are sisters and their world is about to change dramatically.
This is a story of another realm, intriguing shifters such as the Phoenix and an evil stepmother. Mix that with murder, kidnapping, finding one's true mate and sizzling sex scenes and you have one whopper of a story.
I'll look forward to reading book two to see what happens next.
