Everyone has a calling. We search for our calling in careers, hobbies, and even ministries, but Christians actually know their calling from birth. We are all called into God's community and onto his mission. There is no greater calling. Once we are in Christ, we are no longer orphans. Everyone has a place in the people of God. But how do you live out that calling? What does it look like to be God's new community? How can we fulfill our role in his mission? In Called Together, Jonathan Dodson and Brad Watson help us discover what it means to be a people made for community and mission. Through reflection on the foundational concepts of gospel, community, and mission, it will help you form healthy missional communities. Filled with practical guidance for leaders and everyday people, it will guide you into a deeper and more deliberate experience of being the church together.

A clear, encouraging, and practical guide to helping people live life together because of Jesus and for the sake of their city. If you interested in moving beyond a Sunday-centric church, this book will be of great help to you.
Good intro to the church living as a mission of community. The heart and content of this book is gospel centered and solid. The editing reflects self publishing, but is a great resource to any church looking to put feet on our calling to live as a community that worships Jesus as we’re shaped by the gospel and sent to the world in his name.
Good starting point to missional communities and a good group study for people looking to form a missional community. There are many places for discussion and resources to go further on different topics.
tangible and theological. I recommend to lead pastors and community/discipleship pastors looking to find gospel-centered approach to doing small group ministry.
Finished Book 8 of 2015 yesterday! This one is a primer that you go through with a small group who is attempting to be a missional community. It takes you through eight weeks with 3 main sections which are Gospel, Community, and Mission. It's great for every small group with great questions and exercises to do during the week. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ “The religious are bound to keeping rules, and the rebellious are bound to breaking rules. the gospel, however, tells us that we are bound, not to rules, but to Christ. We need to relentlessly remind one another of the beauty, sufficiency, and glory of Christ. He’s worth every step of obedience, every act of holiness.” -34 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
