There’s a cruel irony when it comes to raising kids… it ends.
Your kids will grow up. There will come a day when you are done with packing lunches and driving them to practices. There will be a time when they understand why 2a +2b = c is much better than you do, and thus, they don’t need your help with their algebra homework. And yes, there will be a time when they leave your home and go off on their own, ready to take on the world in a way that only they can do.
Reading those words likely puts a lump in your throat.
Years ago, I sent my own three kids off into the world. The days they flew away are etched in my memory like yesterday. More recently, I watched my first grandson fly off to college, and next year, two more of my grandkids will fly out of the nest. It’s sad and exciting all at once. It’s hard to imagine these babies growing up after 18 years of discipleship and prayers.
Your babies will also fly away, which begs the Are they ready?
