Gave it a chance despite the flack the author and the book got online, and it had too many grammatical errors for me to look past. Got a little less than halfway through.
Besides the poor writing, the plot itself was passable at best. It felt rushed and the characters weren't at all likeable. I'd recommend trying out beta reading.

I didn’t expect to fall this hard, but from the very first chapter, this book owned me. The emotional pull was so strong. This story is raw, consuming & painfully beautiful.
Alexander walks in like he owns the world—cold, calculated, always ten steps ahead. But then comes Abigail, fierce and unexpected, throwing his perfectly built control into chaos. She’s been through a lot, but she’s strong, stubborn & still has a soft side when it matters. And somehow, the man who thought he had everything starts to realise that what he really wants is her.
I’d picked this up a few days ago but couldn’t finish it—until last night, and OH BOYYY, I devoured the rest in just 3 hours. The chemistry between Alexander and Abigail? Absolutely electric ✨

This book follows the story of Alexander and Abigail. Abigail is being forced to marry for money but she doesn't want to and has heard all good things about Alexander. She reaches him for help and he uses this opportunity to try to gain control over her.
But then, he learns truly about her and then starts the journey of yearning and a very twisted love
Abigail is everything Alexander doesn't want in a girl but the more he knows her, the deeper his attachment gets. He does not want to want her but somehow he does. He doesn't understand why but then he stops looking for the answer and just listens to his heart.
Alexander has a girlfriend and he is just helping her. She'll leave him once their contract is done but he is now not letting her go.

As someone who loves angsty slow burns, this one hit just the spots!

Okay, guys, I have to talk about this book because OMG I finished it in one night and I’m still not over it.
So we have Alexander, the MMC, whose parents are forcing him to marry. But he already has a girlfriend, Ekaterina, who lives in Russia and is honestly such a bad person. Then comes Abigail, our FMC - a nice girl, bit of attitude, but life has been so unfair to her. Her greedy family is forcing her to marry just so they can get money and pay off debts. They even try to marry her to an old man. Like, what?!
Desperate, Abigail calls Alexander for help (thanks to her amazing best friend who is actually one of my fave characters). Now here’s the twist - Alexander’s sister was once kidnapped and harmed by Abigail’s father. So when she calls, he sees a chance for revenge. He offers her a 3-month contract marriage.
They get married on paper, she moves in with him, and he pays off her debts. He thinks he’s going to break her but slowly, he falls for her. And when he realises she’s actually a good person, hates her father, and has been wronged too, he starts doing everything for her, like literally everything. He even makes her his secretary. At first, he gave her trouble, but then their love story really started because they got so close while she was working with him.
And guys… one of my favourite moments? When a man insults Abigail, thinking she’s just Alexander’s secretary. Alexander INSTANTLY becomes possessive and says, “She’s my wife.” Can you believe it?! A she’s my wife moment - I am down for it EVERY time. And this book has it again and again. There’s grovelling, betrayal, love - everything. And the way it’s written? Beautiful. The kind of beautiful that hooks you from page one.
Oh, and let’s talk about THAT scene. The one where she’s talking about her ex and Alexander gets so, so possessive. You’ll know exactly what I mean when you read it. It’s the fever-level, OMG-somebody-hold-me kind of scene that makes you want to scream.
Alexander is the dark romance man you want - possessive, protective, a little dangerous, but completely obsessed with the woman he loves. Abigail’s journey from helplessness to finding real love is just perfect.

So here’s the thing, this series keeps getting better and better. I can’t wait for the fourth book now. I should’ve read this one a little later because after reading the prologue at the end waiting a whole month feels like torture.
This is an enemies to lovers romance and Alexander’s character is crafted so powerfully. Abigail on the other hand is an FMC who could genuinely inspire many.
Then comes their moments of forbidden attraction. The forbidden element is Alexander is already committed to someone else who (as shown in Burning Him Insane also) happens to be an absolute bitch.
Their chemistry is mind-blowing. And the tension 😩 I don’t even have the words for it.
This is an enemies to lovers romance and Alexander’s character is crafted so powerfully. Abigail on the other hand is an FMC who could genuinely inspire many.

So this book was enjoyable and a cute Mafia read. It's a fun , slightly messy read 💞

Apparently, he wanted to "keep an eye on her" because he suspected she was involved in something that would harm his family.
•So he marries Abigail while having a girlfriend— which, understandably, might confuse some readers (me included 😅).
-He should have just straight up told Rina that he is married for three months, he'll divorce and then we’ll see where we stand.”
-I just personally prefer when emotional ties are clearer — end one thing before diving into another.
•And during the initial stages of them staying together although he felt attracted to her ,he still thought that he had a girlfriend.
-so baby boy if you have a girlfriend what's your wife doing there ? even...even if it's fake.It’s just messy.
•I do know that most of the time if I am reading a book it is going to sound familiar, I might have read something like it and it might be a different version of it.
•He is known as a very powerful arms dealer so we could expect something from it and not being a puppet at the whims of his ex.EX 🤦
•And what irritated me more was their separation-- how and why did it go that way.

Just finished Obsession He Craves and I honestly really enjoyed it. The atmosphere, the writing, and how easily it pulled me in, everything felt intense but so addictive. It’s one of those books that leaves you thinking about certain moments long after you’ve finished.
It’s not a perfect 5 for me, but definitely a strong and well deserved 4 ⭐️.
And honestly… I can totally see myself rereading it someday when I’m in the mood for something dark and emotional again.
Would definitely recommend if you’re into stories that grip you and don’t let go.🫶🏽🩷

4⭐️ sent me on an emotional rollercoaster from the start ! I really enjoyed it & was drawn in with the storytelling. This series continues getting better & i can’t wait for the last book !! 🤍 Alexander is a very powerful character who thought he had/knew everything he wanted in life & love. Enter Abigail…. a force to be reckoned with !!! i absolutely loved Abigail, she comes from a horrible upbringing but despite all that is a badass and an inspiration. Alexander & Abigail were so cute together, their little moments as well as the banter was really good. Can’t forget the tension & the spice 🤭🤭🤭 had me blushing.

5⭐️ I was so excited to read Alex’s book since the first book in the series and it did not disappoint. I absolutely loved it, each book in this series is so refreshing because they are so different from the other when it comes to tropes and storylines. I couldn’t put it down.
I love Alex character, he is so sweet when he wants to be and he is a good brother and very protective. He has an idea on what he wants his life to look like but fate had other plans when it brings Abigail into his life. He is expecting her to be this horrible person and is shocked to learn she is the opposite. He begins to realize that maybe the idea of his future isn’t what will make him happy.
I love how Noyar wrote his character and point of view. You truly get the sense of who he is as a person. He has an obsession with weapons and seeing it through his mind as he compares everything to weapons or uses weapon metaphors to explain something in his mind. It was worded beautifully but also added to the whole story as we see him create a very special gun for himself.
Abigail is unapologetically herself, which I loved. She won’t change how she acts or talks to fit how someone else wants her to act. She is tough and fights for herself on multiple occasions. She hasn’t had a great upbringing like Alex has and it great to see her grow into a more trusting but happy character. She challenges Alex, which he isn’t used to, and the banter between them I loved.
I loved the pacing of the book and felt like it gave us so much. I loved the little things just as much as the bigger details. I was heartbroken at the third act breakup but then shocked because there is a twist at the end I didn’t think would happen. The whole book had me locked into it. It’s addictive and I can’t wait to read the next book, especially after seeing a different side to Damir through the past two books.
If you’re looking for a mafia, enemies to lovers, marriage contract, slow burn with a man obsessed, found family, forced proximity, ex drama, my wife moments, touch her and die vibes and a grovel worthy breakup then I think you will love this book.
I love Alex character, he is so sweet when he wants to be and he is a good brother and very protective. He has an idea on what he wants his life to look like but fate had other plans when it brings Abigail into his life. He is expecting her to be this horrible person and is shocked to learn she is the opposite. He begins to realize that maybe the idea of his future isn’t what will make him happy.
I love how Noyar wrote his character and point of view. You truly get the sense of who he is as a person. He has an obsession with weapons and seeing it through his mind as he compares everything to weapons or uses weapon metaphors to explain something in his mind. It was worded beautifully but also added to the whole story as we see him create a very special gun for himself.
Abigail is unapologetically herself, which I loved. She won’t change how she acts or talks to fit how someone else wants her to act. She is tough and fights for herself on multiple occasions. She hasn’t had a great upbringing like Alex has and it great to see her grow into a more trusting but happy character. She challenges Alex, which he isn’t used to, and the banter between them I loved.
I loved the pacing of the book and felt like it gave us so much. I loved the little things just as much as the bigger details. I was heartbroken at the third act breakup but then shocked because there is a twist at the end I didn’t think would happen. The whole book had me locked into it. It’s addictive and I can’t wait to read the next book, especially after seeing a different side to Damir through the past two books.
If you’re looking for a mafia, enemies to lovers, marriage contract, slow burn with a man obsessed, found family, forced proximity, ex drama, my wife moments, touch her and die vibes and a grovel worthy breakup then I think you will love this book.

If you love a mafia romance that has that forbidden tension, that obsessive MMC, then Obsession He Craves is definitely the next book you need on your TBR list.
I don’t normally dive into mafia romances, but this book—aaahhh—was just pure perfection. The tension. The longing. The heartbreak. It had me lying in bed until 3 a.m. with tired eyes but still flipping pages because I had to know what happened next.
Alexander—ah, this man. He is completely and utterly obsessed with his Muse, and it shows in every word, every glance, every action. He’s broody and dangerous with that perfect dash of softness, but only for her. The “touch her and die” energy? Oh, it’s here, and it’s glorious.
Abi is such a relatable FMC—sweet, laid-back, funny, and sassy, but with an inner strength that shines when it’s needed most. We love a heroine who is soft and fierce in equal measure.
Their story is spectacular—it starts with enemies-to-lovers and builds into tension so thick you could cut it with a spoon. And those moments… you know the ones that make you kick your feet and squeal? Yeah, this book lives there. Then the heartbreak hits and—aaahhh—I felt it in my core. I ugly cried right along with Abi.

I loved the love between the characters and the mending of families that happened in this. I do think the MMC and FMC could’ve pined for each other a little longer because it felt a little insta love. I also wish the FMC didn’t immediately drop her dreams of going to Stanford because now I feel like she doesn’t have anything for herself. There were a lot of grammatical errors that made me skip over some things because I couldn’t understand what was trying to be explained. I found myself wanting a little more plot, I did enjoy all the spicy scenes but a lot of the story became predictable. Overall, this was a very quick read and nice mafia romance story and you could definitely feel the love the characters had for eachother.

I was waiting for Alex's book and I loved it!! The man who plays around falls madly and deeply in love with the enemies daughter! He realizes just how much his life was actually lacking until her.
And what a woman Abigail was!! Noyar Cecil has officially made me a fan of hers. She creates such amazing female characters. They are strong, brave, full of heart and also have their own weaknesses. They are lovable, relatable and very human.
Abigail as all Cecil's characters have gone through hardship and I just loved her sass and how she fights for herself. She's smart and always does her best!! She also has a beautiful heart when it matters.
Her writing makes it easy for readers to connect with the characters and have your heartstrings pulled. Her writing gives you the warmth and feeling of just how much her couples she creates love each other.
Alex and Abigail was full of angst and so much passion!! It was hot, sexy, and dramatic and I was here for it all!!
I didnt think I would love Alex as much as I did. I'm stuck between Him and Damir!!!! How Alex is with her is just FIRE!! I loved the pinning as well :P
I love her books because not only does she give all the characters such humane, realistic, heartfelt and heart wrenching pasts and personalities. But because of her sentimental writing between the main couples that you just fall for their chemistry and see just how right they are for each other!!

No surprise that I am an absolute sucker for mafia romances. For me, this was a page turner. I was instantly intrigued by this story. And is a first for me to read from this author, which I think she did such a wonderful job.
This story starts with Abigail, who does not have a great relationship with her family whatsoever. She wants nothing more than to escape their shackles. Her grandfather wants to sell her off to pay off the debts of her deceased father. Abigail feels that she has no other choice than to go to Alexander for help, the man who had initially refused a proposal to marry her. And he decides to help her, to use her to his benefit. But she is not at all what he thought she’d be. As he got know her more, an obsession started. These two were kind of inevitable! Their chemistry is off the charts. It was spicy, it was intense and it was a bit suspenseful.
Overall I enjoyed it. It was a nice story to dive into. Though I started off with book 3, I definitely need to go and read the first two books because I really enjoy this mafia universe and its characters. I think if you are a lover of mafia romance you should add this to your tbr and give it a go. 🖤
