There's a copycat on the loose, and he's playing the part of the notorious Steve Bennett, a serial kidnapper and killer.
Twelve known girls have already been taken from over the country, but none have returned. With the orignial house of the mass kidnapper and murderer destroyed, where is he hiding the girls?
Are any of them still alive or is he living up to Steve Bennett's MO and killing them off before getting a new girl?
Are these girls his wives or are they something much worse? Jessi Sparks is about to find out for herself.
This is the case she has been waiting for, and she won't let it slip through her fingers. She will risk everything to finally put an end to mass kidnappings, but will she risk her own life just to finally finish this?
Sara holds a PhD with specialty in marine biology and biostatistics as well as double masters degrees. While the pursuit of her education has slowed the book writing process she still enjoys spending her time writing and plotting new ideas. While writing is a great hobby that turned into a passion to share with others, she has decided to take a much needed break
Very well written. Truly loved all these series. Each one is exceptional. Finding love and friendship. Turning the worst into good fortune for them all. Finding out how they handle each terrifying moment and how they became a family. Get all 3 and enjoy. This author is very talented. If you love books that have hardship, romance, fear, mystery, not knowing, this is the book for you. I personally don't read about kidnapping but this is and the exception. I really liked how it is written.
Another winning book by Sara in my opinion. I thought it was a great idea to have Jesse get her own story, and see how her abduction in the first book played a role in her life. Callum is one deserving hero as well, and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing him get a happily ever after.
The final book of the ‘Amber Alert series’ completes the story started twenty years previously. Another serial kidnapper and possibly murderer is taking young women. Whilst there are similarities with the antagonist in the first book, the copycat has subtle differences. There is a suspenseful twist that takes the story in an unexpected direction. The characters’ emotions convey the horrors of their abduction and avoid the need for overly graphic descriptions. The ‘love at first sight’ theme continues in ‘Apprehended’. The ending completes the series in a satisfying way. I received a copy of the book from the author in return for an honest review.
Steve Bennett is dead, but there is a copycat on the loose. Jessi was abducted along with Garrett and Anna, but she was too young to remember most of it. Now an FBI Agent, she called in for help on a similar case. With no leads in sight and a team leader that doesn’t respect her, Jessi begins to question her career choice. Fed up with everything she decides to leave the case. With her guard down, Jessi is taken by the man who everyone is searching for and she comes to realize that she was the one he wanted all along. Trapped with several other women who look like her, Jessi decides to be the martyr and keep all of the captor's attention. Hoping her team finds her in time, she plays Alec’s game and hopes to come out the winner. I really liked the third and final installment of this series. I assumed that the kidnapping didn’t effect Jessi since she was so young, but the author showed that she was the most damaged. Unable to hold a relationship because of the notoriety she was a loner and perfect prey for the kidnapper. Alec was just as sadistic as Steve if not even more. I was glad that Jessi was able to tackle her demons and eventually save the day. Four stars
This is the third book in the Amber Alert series and even though they could be read alone, you miss important details that help with the background of each girl so go back and start with book one! Out of all three books Apprehended is my favorite, it's a quick read but the action is there. I was able to connect with Jessi in this book where the first two I didn't with the main characters. We don't get a lot gory details about what happens after the girls are taken which is fine with me but you get enough to use your imagination. I think this is a good YA series that is suspenseful, dramatic and a little fast paced love at first sight reads. Again this is my favorite in the series and of you want all the details if the characters start at the beginning.
