In the sweat-slick pulse of New York City’s gay scene, where Madonna reigns like a rhinestoned saint and every club night is a communion, Eddie Santiago and Marcus Reed meet under the flicker of neon and the crackle of vinyl.
Eddie’s a fast-talking, faster-dancing Bronx dreamer with lace gloves, busted track shoes, and choreography in his bones. Marcus is a closeted law student with a Harvard tie, a boxing glove in his drawer, and a heart that beats to forbidden rhythms. Their love sparks over a battle of records, Like a Virgin vs. She’s So Unusual, and grows through drag shows, Pride marches, heartbreaks, and hot-pink cassette tapes scrawled with mixtape confessions.
From the glitter and grit of the Saint nightclub to the smoky hush of a family funeral, from ACT UP rallies to rooftop kisses under a smog-streaked moon, Vinyl A Madonna Love Story is a love story scored by the Queen of Pop. Every chapter pulses with Madonna’s evolution, Material Girl boldness, Vogue fierceness, Frozen heartbreak, American Life resilience, as Eddie and Marcus learn to fight for their dreams, their bodies, and each other.
Their romance is a remix of second chances and shattered first loves, of sequined drag queens and lost friends, of flirty choreography and brutal honesty. As the decades roll on and lovers come and go, only Madonna remains constant, their shared language, their patron saint, their glittering prayer.
Can two boys raised on silence and secrets rewrite their own gospel? Or will the skips and scratches of old pain keep them out of sync?
Packed with smoky ballrooms, sleepless city nights, spiritual pop awakenings, and the burn of a well-timed lyric, Vinyl A Madonna Love Story is a devotional dancefloor romance for fans of Red, White & Royal Blue, Pose, and Call Me by Your Name. A standalone in the Soundtracks of Our Love series, it’s a glitter-wrapped celebration of gay joy, chosen family, and the healing power of pop.
Turn the volume up. Say a little prayer. And let yourself be loved.
