Jake Tanner is a normal 12-year-old. Or so he thought. He watches as a fight ensues on the playground at Hampton High School and sees a bully change in appearance. He tries to tell his friend, Ben, but he won’t believe him. He goes home and tells his Gran. His Gran says 'I was wondering when it was going to happen. And so, begins the journey of Jakes discovery of what he is, what he can see, and his obligations of having the gift he has been given.

Great read for young teens! An introduction to the world of Savelings and Underlings and the triumphs of good over evil! Younger readers will enjoy the adventures of Jake Tanner and his friends as they strive to make their world a better place. Looking forward to the next book after a cliff hanger ending!
