I am feral for this Romantasy series guys! My gawwwwd this one was SO GOOD!!

Parker, I can’t express how much I am loving this series so far and Ima need everyone to pick this up if you want slow burn, witches, gods and goddesses in your book.

The way book 1 ended you would think it would go right back to those details into book 2 from the beginning but no, we are taken back in time understanding Corla and her history which I thought was genius!

The yearning and relationship growth between Ramsi and Corla just got even better in here I was eating up every moment!There is a reason this book is called your path is sacrifice because Corla darling is learning how much is too much to sacrifice!

4.5 ⭐️ - This was amazing! Going into this book, I didn't realize that it was a flashback / backstory, but once I caught on, I was loving it! I feel like I was able to connect with the characters more and it absolutely added more depth to the story which I loved!

Parker A. Garner's writing style is brilliant! I love how perfectly the story flows and how invested it made me. The yearning in this book is absolutely torturous, yet delicious. I love Ramsi and Corla with my whole soul!!! The villains in this book are top notch and will have you clenching your fists!

Overall, I'm obsessed with this series and I can't wait for the next book! I highly recommend this series to anyone wanting an addictive and intoxicating fantasy romance read. Thank you so much to Torch Lit Ink for the opportunity to ARC read this amazing book!

The backstory for Corla is really incredible and I am really happy that it got an entire book to flesh everything out. It was so beautifully told. I think it will set the next book up so well and I am excited to get a book three!

I ended the book in tears and even knowing some things happened from book 1 it felt so intense reading it all in book two. I fucking love Ramsi - his quiet intensity, the way he let's Corla be herself but is always quick to her defense, the moments of playful banter, the intense connection and passion. He is such a quiet but formidable force.

FUCK LYCASTER.

All the side characters are so amazing and such a great part of the story as well.

I honestly hope for a 5+ book series tbh. (no pressure lol I just love it so damn much)

Both book one and 2 remind me how much I love fantasy/romantasy books.

After the cliffhanger at the end of book 1, I expected book 2 to pick up where it left off. However, after spending the first 25% confused about what was happening, I realized that book 2 was really more of a prequel than a sequel; that realization helped me enjoy the book more and ignore my initial confusion. I think it would've been helpful to have known going in that it would NOT be a continuation, but rather a backstory.

That said, I really enjoyed this book. It really filled in some of the gaps from book 1 (and still left some things unanswered). Learning about Corla's traumatic backstory and the hardships she endured make her resilience and strength that much more powerful. And hers and Ramsi's story? I ate it up. Especially how Garner contrasted his possessiveness with that of the villains in the story; he always wanted Corla to have the choice and the power, especially with her history of not having either of those things.

While this was not the book I was expecting, I enjoyed the background we received about events that were mentioned in book 1 and look forward to seeing how the story resolves in the future books.

I had some difficulty getting into the beginning of this book, I found that I was a little confused because I thought it would follow the cliffhanger of book one. I even went back to reread the ending of book one to see if that helped and still found myself a little confused. HOWEVER. It was ABSOLUTELY worth sticking through the confusion, because once I realized that there was a bit of a prequel element happening I was able to fully enjoy and appreciate what I was reading. I enjoyed this book just as much, if not more, than book one. Corla continues to be a favorite for me, and I was so happy to get more of her backstory to be able to appreciate her character even more. I can’t wait for the next book to see what happens next, this story and world has a special place in my heart!

If you read the first book, don’t get scared off when you start this one lol. Buckle up for the confusion of what’s happening but it’ll make sense soon. And when it does it’ll lead to an interesting story. Still the same Gods & witches we love and tolerate but new story to be told. It’s a lovely blend of fantasy with enough romance to keep you on your toes. I found myself so curious for what is next. 3.5⭐️/ 5.

When this comes out give it a read but make sure you read Your Path is Sorrow first!!

Just when I thought I couldn’t love Parker A. Garners writing anymore she gives us this.

I don’t even know where to begin…
Book 1 left us on a cliffhanger of a lifetime and I know I was dying for the continuation, but instead we got a new perspective. And I am NOT disappointed! This book dives deep into the world of pain, sorrow, and betrayal. 😭YOU WILL CRY!

The world of Gods and Goddesses collides with the humans. Demi Gods are monsters among humans and nobody is more tortured by this reality than Corla. A living, breathing sacrifice offered up to suffer pain so others may worship. During an offering to the Gods, mysterious figures stop the sacrifice of Corla and her life is changed. Suddenly she is thrown into the world of the very beings who have tormented her. One is particular, Ramsi, who all her sacrifice has been for has stricken a cord of familiarity in her. Corla meets many influential people along her path; Queens, witches, and even her Mate. Suddenly thrown into the role of emissary between mortal and godly realms, Corla must learn how much is too much of a sacrifice?

Your Path is Sacrifice completely consumed me. I didn’t realize at first that it was a prequel, so I was a little lost for the first 15%—but once I caught on? I was hooked.

The backstory was both tender and brutal. Beautifully written, heartbreakingly delivered. It laid the groundwork for Book Three in a way that makes me fear (and crave) the emotional destruction ahead.

As for Lycaster and Zurick? I despise them with my whole soul. May the fictional universe deal with them accordingly.

The romance was otherworldly. The world-building felt like a movie playing in my mind. The spice? Perfectly done. 10/10—I’d gladly suffer all over again.

First of all, thank you to Torch Lit Ink and Parker A. Garner for the opportunity to read Your Path is Sacrifice! This is the second book in The Fates Entwined series, the first being Your Path is Sorrow. This review will be spoiler free for the second book, but I will be discussing a couple of things from the first. If you’d like to avoid those spoilers, go ahead and skip the next section “A Tale of Two Corlas” and you will be fine!

A Tale of Two Corlas
I've got to say, I did not expect to get the perspective of the original Corla, which is what we got this book! It did take me by surprise, but pleasantly so. I think having an entire journey from her perspective was much more fun than describing the prolonged vision from the new Corla’s perspective. It took me a moment to realize what was going on, but it was definitely nice to see the order of events from the perspective of someone who was actually there! Getting the parallels of the two Corlas this way was a great example of “show don’t tell,” and complimented the way so many characters in the first book were hesitant to tell Corla anything about her namesake’s story. I very much enjoy, as well, the symbolic autonomy of giving Corla her voice back for a whole book: rather than Ramsi or Laurel or even Lycaster giving a version of events as they remember (or in Lycaster’s case, presumably telling a lie) Corla gets to control her own narrative.

The Question of Free Will
In my opinion, the most interesting thing that fantasy can do when all-powerful beings like gods are involved is pose questions about the fundamental basis of the free will of humanity. And I would argue that the concept of free will is the underlying theme of this entire book: Corla starts off with very little will to exercise, and throughout the story the amount of freedom she has ebs and flows based largely on the personal preferences of gods. At any given moment, free will is something Corla is actively grasping for as she navigates the whims and wishes of beings so painfully more powerful than she is. The plot, the romantic subplot, the inevitable conclusion that we as readers (who’ve read the first book at least) know is coming: they all hinge on choices Corla demands she be able to make. There is something so compelling to me about a sequel book in a fantasy series being told from the perspective of someone we learned about but never got to meet in our introduction to the world. But in order for this to be a success, the character has to have something incredibly important to convey. What could be more important than the ability and freedom to make one’s own path in life?

Is it technically foreshadowing if it already happened?
I dunno. But what I do know is that, as I said above, I had much more fun seeing these events and characters through Corla’s eyes than just having the account of what happened told in a series of a few chapters to our original main heroine from the first book would have been. Instead of telling us “this character always seemed a bit off” or “this character clearly had greater ambitions than they were admitting to” we get to see the characters mentioned from the first book as they themselves live the series of events we know ends with the state of the world as it was in the first book. Despite knowing the conclusion, this book made it really easy to root for characters like Corla and Rhea and hope against all odds that maybe in the end they’ll tell us something different. Maybe this time, the story will have a happier ending. Maybe something will change right at the end, maybe the world we entered in book one is the one that’s wrong. I just love getting to experience this kind of painful, harrowing story where we know the ending and we still hope against all odds that it will be different this time. And I cannot emphasize enough how much more impactful telling this story in this manner was than it would have been if it were shorter!

The Questions left Unanswered
Number one: Who is Heron?? I need to know asap, please and thank you.

Of course, just because we learned what happened in the past in great detail does not mean we know how we got from this Corla to that Corla. Certain character’s motivations make more sense, we know a little better who lied to whom and why they may have done so. But we still don’t necessarily know what will come next, and we certainly don’t know how our heroes could possible prevail. That Corla had bigger priorities than chasing down answers to every loose end is understandable, but that means we’ve got plenty of knots left to tie up as the series progresses, which I would say the first book left us fewer of. While it could have been tempting to let this book serve as an “all answers, no questions” kind of situation, I really appreciate that it didn’t and wasn’t afraid to pose more questions and problems for new Corla to solve when we return to her. A little bit of mystery for her to unravel is exactly the kind of hook needed to really transition back to her perspective and story!

To wrap this all up, I enjoyed this installment in a way that I rarely enjoy second books in series. I know, I know, everybody always finds the sequel books in a fantasy series a little tedious because often they are about untangling the messes started in the first book, before hastily finding ways to create new messes. It was just an objectively smart decision to put down the cliffhanger from the first book and pick up so far back in the narrative that you almost forget how we ended up here in the first place. There’s no rush at the end to figure out how to carry over to the next spot in the story because the ending didn’t need to tell us what happens: we already knew. Instead, we got to really sit in the emotions of the characters and it was a much better use of time and storytelling than the alternative. If it needs to be stated, I’m officially hooked on The Fates Entwined and ready to tear into the third book and get some answers (seriously, who is Heron)!

I was fortunate enough to receive an ARC of Your Path is Sacrifice by Parker A. Garner, and I inhaled it in a single sitting. I didn’t realize how much I needed this book until I started it. A prequel that explores how Ramsi and Corla first met? Yes, please. Their bond runs deeper than time, than memory, than the gods themselves—and after reading this, I don’t just love them… I’m wrecked by them.

We finally get insight into the God of Suffering and what Ramsi has truly sacrificed—not just for Corla, but for everyone he loves. He always does what he believes is morally right… but before anyone starts picturing a sweet little golden retriever? Rest assured: this man absolutely enjoys ripping out a throat or two. That alone keeps him solidly—and deliciously—morally gray. Addictive. Unforgettable.

One of my favorite parts of this book was the relationship between Ramsey and his twin sister, Rhea, the Goddess of Suffering. Their bond is powerful and sacred, built on unwavering love and trust. There’s one scene (I won’t spoil it, but if you know, you know) where Ramsi has to surrender everything and place his faith in Rhea. The wheat. The foxes. The heartbreak. I was done for. That moment had me ugly crying. Like full snot...tears...hiccups...it was not a pretty sight friends.

And now, a brief intermission to say: F*CK Lycaster. The God of Breath can get wrecked. I told the author directly, and I’ll say it here again: I would absolutely slash the tires on his smug little god-mobile. He doesn't have one. Fine. I'll buy him one just so I can do it. He’s ruthless, manipulative, and so arrogant I want to scream.

Zurick? Oh, Zurick. A demi-god with a pain and suffering kink so intense I’m shocked he doesn’t have a punch card. Every fifth torture gets you a free latte or something. He’s twisted, vile, and obsessed with control. Add his tires to the slash list too—bonus points if it’s while he’s monologuing. For the record, if you can make me hate a few villains this much, you deserve a trophy as a writer.

But even with all that rage, what shines in this book is the love. Ramsi and Corla’s story unfolds in the golden quiet of wheat fields—soft, aching, and utterly consuming. Their connection isn’t just romantic, it’s cosmic. And when Ramsey finally says:

“I love you, Corla. I have loved you since the first moment we met in that dream field, what feels like eons ago. I should’ve said it to you every day, should have whispered it in your ear every night. I should have said it to you before—”

I started crying, and honestly? I haven’t stopped.

Also—yes, it’s spicy. Ramsi is a foul-mouthed MMC when it comes to Corla, and I am HERE FOR IT. Their chemistry is electric and soul-deep.

The world-building? Perfection. Vivid enough that you feel every setting, but never so dense that it pulls you out of the story. I could see the wheat, feel the magic, and ache with the gods.

I already loved this world after Your Path is Sorrow—but Your Path is Sacrifice made me absolutely obsessed. This book is emotionally devastating, beautifully written, and filled with the kind of romance that ruins you in the best way.

I wish I could unread it just to feel it all over again. A thousand stars wouldn’t be enough.

As Ariana once said, I’ve got no tears left to cry…”Your Path is Sacrifice” ripped my heart out of my chest and stitched me up before I could put it back in.

Walking into this second installment, I fully anticipated diving right back into where we left off. Instead, Garner completely blindsided me by rewinding the clock to show us why our beloved Corla IS Corla (and I was here for every single devastating moment). The initial disorientation I felt quickly transformed into the most brilliant storytelling choice. Every tiny detail from the first book suddenly bloomed into perfect, heartbreaking clarity.

I need a minute to gush about Corla. This woman has been forged in the fires of unimaginable suffering, and watching her navigate between survival and actually LIVING had me absolutely locked in. She's simultaneously shattered and unbreakable, carrying wounds that have shaped her into this incredible force of nature.

And if I thought I felt the heat from Corla and Ramsi (you know, the God of Suffering) before, Book 2 had me genuinely combusting. The yearning, the impossible circumstances, the way they orbit each other like twin stars destined to either create something beautiful or destroy entire worlds...that’s the only energy I want right now. Their backstory unfolds with such raw emotional intensity that I found myself physically clutching my chest.

Kudos to Garner for subverting expectations and taking us in a direction none of us saw coming. I immensely enjoyed learning more about the gods, demi’s and other characters in this world. Although this is the moment I need to scream FUCK LYCASTER AND THE HORSE HE RODE IN ON. Don’t worry about it…you’ll be screaming with me any minute now. Despite my hatred for Lycaster, my love for Rhea, Laurel and Collin is constant.

This story weaves together divine scheming, intricate political maneuvering, and secrets buried within secrets, all while building toward a romance so forbidden it could literally end civilization. The stakes couldn't be higher, and Garner delivers every single emotional gut punch with devastating precision.

Can a book break you, because Your Path is Sacrifice by @parkeragarnerauthor was my most anticipated read this year and I think it did just that. The characters, story, and Realms she created in Book One of the series had me so sucked into this immersive Fantasy. We were left on one of the best cliffhangers at the end of Book One so I was dying to know where she'd take us with this one. I knew she would have some tricks up her sleeve for Your Path is Sacrifice and continue to keep me on the edge of my seat as I slowly put pieces of the story together and man was I right. From start to finish, I was just eating up her words and the pages couldn't turn fast enough. That being said I wanted to savor this read and make sure I didn't miss anything important so there were many pauses to highlight all the quotes, take little notes, and have some Dear Gods, moments as things played out. Characters were phenomenal and we got to know more of them within this story as it took us through their past lives in this book. Somehow I grew even more attached to characters I already loved and my contempt grew for characters I already had bad feelings for. You know an author can write some amazing characters when you get the best of both worlds, not only the attachment and love for the good ones but also to feel truly angry, pissed, and enraged at the Villain/bad ones. I loved falling back into the Realms amongst the Gods, Demis, Witches, and Mortals with her rich world-building. We get a little more Romance in this book for Corla and Ramsi, which I devoured, as well as more light into the dynamics amongst the Gods and Demis. With Corla being stuck between her Choice and Fate this Dark Romantic Fantasy is filled with themes of sacrifice, destiny, dark matters, Fated Mates, Dream Walking, Past Lives, Morally Grey Characters, and how your choice has the power to affect the fate of everything. An intensely deep read that drug me through a plethora of emotions that ranged from bliss to gut-wrenching, so be prepared because you get it all. Parker A.Garner the wait was so unbelievably worth it but now here we go again until book 3 because, Dear Gods the way you hook me.

This book caught me off guard at first; I had expected it to pick up where Book 1 left off, so I was pretty confused for the first 25–30% before realizing it was more like a prequel. The confusion definitely dampened my enjoyment of the book, which was unfortunate because once I got over it, I really enjoyed the story. In fact, it answered so many of the questions I had lingering from the first book.

Getting more of Ramsi and Corla’s story was such a highlight. Ramsi, who was often called the worst of the gods, turned out to be the kindest. He consistently gave Corla the freedom to make her own choices, something no one else in her life had ever done, and that dynamic was both refreshing and emotional. His intense possessiveness felt protective rather than controlling and served as the perfect contrast to the true villain’s manipulation. Their romance was beautifully written and incredibly compelling, and I was fully invested in watching it unfold.

The pacing was a little uneven, the beginning dragged a bit, especially with the initial confusion, but the last 20–40% absolutely flew by. Once the plot kicked in, I didn’t want to stop reading. Even knowing how the story would end, it still hit me hard emotionally. Ramsi and Corla deserve their HEA, and I can’t wait to see how their story concludes!

I loved book one in this series, Your Path is Sorrow, and was anxiously awaiting this one to find out what happened next in Corla’s story. Let's just say this was not at all what I expected it to be, but I absolutely devoured it and loved every moment!

I went into reading this one thinking it would pick up where book one ended, but NOPE! At first, I was confused, thinking I forgot the ending of book one, but I kept reading and realized we were living through Corla’s life before book one happened. Was I disappointed we didn’t dive into what happened after book one? Absolutely freaking not.

This story is emotionally devastating. Learning how Corla came to be where she was in Your Path is Sorrow broke my little heart. The agony she was put through, the abuse, the taste of possible freedom and the joy of finding Ramsi, finding LOVE, and then that freedom and joy being snatched away from her by none other than Lycaster—seriously, how much can one character suck? If you hated him in book one, that hate will only grow in this one. If this guy was real I’d punch him in the face.

But the love and bond between Ramsi and Corla were perfection. Witnessing the growth of their relationship and how much love was there before it was shattered, before they were ripped apart and broken down.

I honestly loved Parker's choice in writing this one. Understanding Corla and Ramsi’s past sheds new light on the events in Sorrow, and the moment I finished this one, I immediately wanted to reread both books.

I knew I would love this book before I even read it, and even though it was not at all what I expected, I absolutely adored it. Even though we’re only on book two, I know the rest of this story will be amazing and can’t wait to read more.

Character growth, world building, emotion, connection, the story arc and everything else all get five million stars from me.

Going into Your Path is Sacrifice, I expected it to pick up where the last book left off. Instead, I was thrown into the time preceding Your Path is Sorrow. At first, I was confused, but the more I read, the more everything started to click into place.

By the time I turned the last page, I was speechless. This book delivered a full-circle moment that was so satisfying. The way Parker A. Garner wove in small breadcrumbs from book one that only made sense in hindsight? Genius.

Your Path is Sacrifice dives deep into divine manipulation, layered political tension, secrets within secrets, and a romance so forbidden it threatens the fate of the entire human world.

Corla’s arc in this book is breathtaking. She’s fierce, broken, and so deeply human. Watching her wrestle with grief, trauma, and impossible choices felt like living through it right beside her.

“Your life is your own to command. They can chain you, cage you, try to break you, but they cannot take that truth away from you.”

And the romance, oh my heart. The connection between Corla and Ramsi is equal parts beautiful and devastating. Their backstory unfolds with so much emotional depth, it made me root even harder for their happy ending.

This book doesn't shy away from heavy themes, so definitely check the trigger warnings, but it’s so worth the emotional ride.

Your Path is Sacrifice is beautifully written, emotionally raw, and completely impossible to put down. I’m already counting the days until the next book.

One phrase comes to mind now when I think of Parker- plot twist!

I'm not going to lie- I was *very* confused when reading Your Path is Sacrifice. I had to have an explanation from Parker herself to make me understand what was going on 😂 (turns out, I was just forgetting one key piece from Book 1!).

Note to future readers: MAKE SURE to read Your Path is Sorrow beforehand, and have good memory of what happens in that book! It makes understanding Sacrifice so much better. I had the honor of reading Sorrow as an ARC a good while ago, and I devoured it so fast that I knew I was going to have to wait a while for Book 2. When Sacrifice finally made it to my doorstep, I dove right in (without rereading Sorrow, which was a mistake!) and honestly, I was confused but I was still vibing with it. You start to realize exactly what is being told from page 1, and I was just not putting two-and-two together. However, if you read them back to back, when you dive into Sacrifice, you start to understand where exactly the book is taking place/which time its following!

However, with that being said, Your Path is Sacrifice was still an excellent read! Just remember- not everything is what it seems 😉 As Parker told me, this is how the characters wanted the story to be portrayed, and hearing that gave me an entirely new perspective on the book.

Parker's books will forever be automatic reads for me, and I can't wait to see where Book 3 takes us!

My heart was beating so fast throughout this book. From the dedication alone you know it's going to be a book that grabs you by your heart strings and inspires you.

The cruelty Corla has survived has shaped her into a defender of peace and hope. Her mantra is, "This will not break me". And she fights tooth and nail for justice and peace.

Corla's story is an inspiration. She remains strong and caring against all odds. This is the second book but her first act, a prequel of the first book. We learn her backstory and how she becomes who she is in book one. The ending will have you shell shocked and on the verge of tears. It's breathtakingly beautiful and is the perfect ending to set up for book 3.

Also, in this book we learn a lot of backstories from the characters of book one. It was great getting to know them and you gained a lot of respect for their positions.

There are big twists, turns, and "are you serious" moments. I read the book in under 48 hours because it was too hard to put down.

I can't wait for book 3 to come out. I need to see how the story ends and I need my heart to be put back together.

Truly a great book. 5/5 ⭐

PAG totally knocked it out of the ethereal realm with this one!

I was so eager to dive back into Corla and Ramsi’s world… and now I’m absolutely wrecked – ugly crying wrecked!

While I initially expected Book 2 to continue Leyenda’s story, I was instead swept into a powerful, emotional journey that not only answered questions from the first book but also unraveled a deeper, more intricate narrative filled with magic, chaos, and heartbreak.

We learn so much more about Corla and Ramsi’s shared past — the strength, pain, and unimaginable sacrifices they’ve both made in their quest to end the war between gods and mortals.

Ramsi is the epitome of morally grey perfection (as one would expect from the god of suffering). His unwavering devotion to Corla is breathtaking, and this book is going to haunt me—in the best way—for a long time.

Now I’m desperate for Book 3, because I NEED to know that Corla and Ramsi find their way back to each other—across lifetimes, across worlds.

Um thank you so fucking much for this ARC! Usually I try to stay away from the bad words but I will be using fuck a lot and I won't apologize for that so avert you eyes 💚

First off I LOVE that this legit feels like an entirely different story than where it left off in the first book. The perspective is a masterpiece! Corla backstory is literally everything. There is pain, sorrow, betrayal, love, friendship and so many damn tears. I love Corla as a FMC, she was a badass in the first one and just as wonderful and more in the second one. Some of the side characters Collin and Orion just add a wonderful amount of humor and found friendship for Corla. Shall me move onto the MMC because Ramsi is everything. I really enjoyed him in the first one but in this one he fucking shines. The backstory you get with Corla and Ramsi are fucking chef kiss and more. You have God's, witches, Demigods and humans colliding all over the damn place and I INHALED it. The only other thing I could add to this is FUCK LYCASTER and how dare that be the ending. I need the next book right now!

Now that the book is out I feel better about writing more in my review. It is still a spoiler so be warned not to read any further but one of the things I love about this one so much is that in order to go further into the story you have to go backwards 💚

If you adored book one (Your Path is Sorrow) be prepared for book two. I cannot express enough how much this book broke me & won favorite book of the year in my heart.
Ramsi has my heart in every way plausible & I truly hope we get a third book or novella for him.
And Corla, oh sweet Corla. She’s so incredibly powerful in this novel. Allowing readers to feel empowered as they follow her journey.
I feel like I have a million words I want to say but no way to formally express them so I’ll just end by saying thank you. Thank you, Parker, for writing such a gorgeous book.

After the way Your Path is Sorrow left off, I couldn’t fathom how this anticipated sequel would go. I was pleasantly surprised that it didn’t pick up where it left off. Instead, I was treated to a deeper dive into the origins of the whole crew in the first book. I loved learning more about Corla, the Gods, and the world of this series. I especially enjoyed the way the information was presented. Not just being told about the past, but experiencing it first hand.

Many forms of trauma were present in this book. Especially physical abuse/torture and abuse of power over the vulnerable. Seeing Corla’s progression of coping to reclaiming her power was beautiful to see. I was cheering her on in all of her trials. It was very difficult to read at times, so be mindful of your triggers.

I am so intrigued by the tangled web being weaved by Parker A. Garner. SO MANY things connect in unexpected ways. I had to crack open the first book to reference at several points. I’m so excited to see where this series is going! Can fate be changed? Can Corla get a break (pretty pleaseeeee)? I highly recommend this book to fantasy lovers who love a plot that keeps surprising them!

As if I couldn’t hate Lycaster any more than I already did from Your Path is Sorrow...Ooh this guy...I can’t with him. Ramsi is out here proving over and over how much better Shadow Daddies are than literally everyone else.
This one took me a little longer than Book 1, but it was also longer in terms of pages. There was so much going on that I needed to take moments to digest properly. At first, I was a bit confused, as we met Corla in book one, only to realize that it was her namesake that we were meeting. This book gave us the backstory to literally all of the questions that were raised in the first book. What happened with Rhea, what is truly the deal with Ramsi and Lycaster, why is Ramsi locked away...all the questions were answered with this book...well, almost all. HA!
I truly enjoyed this book. It is absolutely a phenomenal romantasy, and is spicier than book 1. I do hope that Parker goes back to revisit what happens with Corla #2 because I would love to see where her story takes her.
The series as a whole at this point is so well thought out and enjoyable, and the world-building is fantastic. I’d give anything by her a chance!

OKAY if you read the first book, then you know where Corlas story ends. BUT we don’t pick up on her story. WE are remembering the first Corla, her namesakes, story. WHICH i think is going to be so important for book 3!!

We understand Lycasters obsession and /hatred?/ towards Corla from book 1, (corla #2). And we also understand Ramsi a lot more too. by the end of this book if you haven’t already felt his suffering you definitely will.

ALSO i’m not going to spoil too much, but don’t be weirded out by them having the same name. you’ll figure it out at the end of the book.

we learn so much vital information this book is so so so important.

I feel like we’re going to pick up on Corla #2 after book 1 and she’ll have remembered everything and that’s where we take place for book 3.

If you haven’t read this series and want to, it’s so so so good. Like It’s really gripping, and had me at the edge of my seat.

I felt and connected with these characters and I love them and i felt with them and hurt with them.
I gasped and cried and laughed and honestly i cannot wait for book 3 where i’ll probably do a reread 🤣

Wow. Parker A. Garner is such an underrated author. What a beautifully written, amazing story!

I was a little thrown off in the beginning because this book is more like a prequel than a sequel, but once I understood where the story was going I was golden. We learn the backstory of Corla, Ramsi, Lycaster, and all the other gods. I feel like so much was answered from the first book but now I have even more questions! This book was not as intense as book 1, but there was a lot of information learned. This book was always engaging. Despite all the new information, I never felt like the pacing was off or there was a lull or slowdown. I am totally attached to these characters already!

I am in love with this series! It reminds me a little bit of Jennifer Armentrout's Blood and Ash/Flesh and Fire series. I am really looking forward to reading the continuation of this series!

I just finished this book… In 24 hours. Wow. I’m just sitting here stunned not sure how to put my feelings into words. First off, I had no idea this book was going to basically be a prequel- but I LOVED that it came after book 1! I think it made the whole story that much more emotional. I don’t want to say much because I really really don’t want to give anything away, especially if you haven’t read book 1 (Your Path is Sorrow)… All I will say is I am soo glad we have the former Corla’s heartbreaking story and to learn so much more about the gods/goddesses. I really hope there will be a third books in this series! I kind of need it now lol. My heart hurts right now- I would say just from the ending (tears, lots of them) but honestly the whole book was beautiful and tragic. Incredibly well- written with great pacing.
Very grateful to Torch Lit Ink for this arc. I received it not realizing that I had to read a book 1 first ( I was confused and thought this was book 1 lol) but sooo happy about it after the fact!

This is the second book in the Fates Entwined Series. I absolutely loved the first book and gave it four out of five stars. I'm going to give this book the same rating and let me tell you why.

If you thought that you loved Corla and Ramsi's story in book one, you haven't seen anything yet. In this book we get to learn a lot more about Corla and her history. I will say that having the book written that way threw me off in the beginning. I was expecting this to pick up where booked two left off. In a way, this should have been book one and book one should have been booked two.

I gave this four out of five stars just for that fact because in a way I was let down because I was just expecting some answers after being left hanging in book one. Now with that said, I totally appreciated this back story because I felt like I truly got to know the characters and the world more. This made me appreciate the characters even more.

Once the foundation of the back story was laid, get ready.Because this book delivered in all the ways that I wanted to. It left me hungering for more.

And now, I must grovel at the feet of the author after this devastating ARC experience and wait for book 3.

Just like I did with the first book, I absolutely devoured this! I could not put it down! I was confused at first, expecting this book to start where the last ended, but this was something totally new! I continue to be a huge fan on Parker A Garner’s writing.

I’m still attached to Corla and Ramsi. Their relationship in this book had me on edge the whole time! I will always root for them!

I recommend checking out, first of course, Your Path is Sorrow and then reading Your Path is Sacrifice. If you like fated mates with a twist, gods and goddesses, and strong FMCs, you will love these books!

This book is one of the best fantasy books I have read in a while. This series keeps getting better. I absolutely loved the first book and this one made me want to read the first one again with all the knowledge I have now. The emotions I felt during this book ranged from anger to love to confusion to pain, just straight up pain. Lycaster is terrifying and I hate him. I hate him so much. I was a little upset at first to know I wouldn't learn about the cliffhanger at the end of book one, but I quickly got sucked into the story and realized I could wait, I would hate it, but I could wait to learn more about Leyenda and Lycaster. Ramsi is such a romantic. And I hate Lycaster. So many gaps from the first book filled and so many still empty. The imagery, the yearning, the buildup, it was beautiful. Definitely one of my new favorite books. Lycaster makes me sick. I literally cannot wait for the third book to come (whenever that is). I hate Lycaster. Corla is a badass. I. Hate. Lycaster.
