It took me a minute to get into this jacked up rendition of Goldilocks and the three bears.. but sometime around chap 12 or so, all the debauchery of the earlier chapters began to take form into a clearer picture of the Why's behind it all.

Now, I'll give it to Ms. Crawford, and say that many points on the scale of the backward, grotesque and just black arts of twisted elegance; was on point here. It painted a picture that just cannot be denied when it comes to the black hearts beating in this world. The ones who use, abuse, and feed off the life force of another's suffering. Those who take innocence and twist it into something ugly and unnatural- Unholy, to be more precise. They defile the innocent alongside the nourishing word and truth of my Creator... And they do this all with a song in their hearts..

No regard for the chaos of what is left behind or that those who suffered through it, are now left having to figure it out. Pick up the broken pieces of their souls, when they had no say, no choice in their own destruction. These vile beings need to be burned out of existence. Undiluted evil. Unfortunately there is no explanation or clarity for this. It just is. It should be snuffed out. Period.

I can't lie. I thoroughly enjoyed the suffering and demise of at least 2 of those evil individuals in this book.. But what breaks my heart? Is when you take these black holes from this world, the suffering they poured into their victims still remains. This is a fact in RL just as it is in this book.

This book has a lot of profound quotes here that I agreed with or just simply gutted me, but that's where my love affair with this story ends.

I gave this one 3 stars because I simply did not believe their outcome. The outcome of Eden, Asmodeus, Abaddon, and Iblis.. The point of why these people are what they are, and why Eden is in their midst at all, made sense to me. It was finally made clear, yes. And it was believable. It was also a very simple reason in the grand scheme of things, though. But it still served its purpose in the point of the plot.

But their ending?? Their conclusion? No. I did not buy what was being sold here.

These people are not soul mates, they're cell-mates. They are not each other's answer to the madness that clearly still has its grip on their tortured hearts, minds and souls.

To put it simply, they are NOT what was intended nor were they healed as they so claimed to be. They're still lost and remain slaves to the monsters that created them. They are not free.

There in lies the tragedy for me with this story.

If you're curious about this one, then you better have a strong stomach and constitution as you open this book.

Would I recommend?= (O.o) Enter at your own peril

Spice?= Depends on what scale you prefer your hotness. There's hot-sexy kinky darkness. Then there's this "Eww.. I can't believe this gets you off!" These characters are piercing the veil with that.

Plot?= 3 out of 5
Plight?=4 out of 5
Darkness?= You need a few mid-evil fire torches and flashlights to see through this sh^t

this book was blasphemous 😈

things i didn’t quite like:
1. some of the positions they were in were very confusing. like, one moment they were doing something and the next they were in a position that physically made no sense unless they teleported. i was just like… damn when did they move?? lol
2. i knew the book was short but things still felt super rushed.

what i liked:
1. the fmc.
2. all the blasphemy lol
3. the degradation. i love reading about degradation.

overall, it was an enjoyable read! my little atheist heart lives for all this blasphemy hehehe

HOLY FUCK

description

VIOLENT - VICIOUS - VULNERABLE

🎙️ DUET - Lucy Rivers, Grayson Owens, Corvin King, James Cassidy
🌶️ 5/5
⭐️ 4/5

Dear reader, this book is FUCKING FILTHY. Brace yourself, The kink is hard and the trauma is real. It's a redemption that dares to go where few romance novellas ever tread. It is raw, unapologetically primal, and positively drenched in scorching, soul-splitting steam.

My lore started with Beauty and the Beast. But this book isn't about taming beasts. It’s about choosing to walk among them and still survive.

Primal Beasts follows Eden. Desperate for answers about her shadowed past, she throws herself into the clutches of three savage, masked men who rule their ruined sanctuary with brutal precision.

😈 Asmodeus
Sadistic, seductive, and emotionally impenetrable. He is the high priest of pain, turning torment into art. But beneath the blades and the blood, there is something terrifyingly sacred about his bond with both Iblis and Eden.

🐺 Abaddon
The most feral of the three, always on the edge of snapping. But carries more tenderness than he admits.

🕊️ Iblis
A beauty broken and bent by trauma. He is the tortured soul at the story’s moral and emotional core. Always seeking salvation through submission, pain, and the brutal love of his brothers.

Together, these men form a unit that is as dysfunctional as it is magnetic. Their dynamic with Eden is equal parts predator and protector, captor and comforter. The heat between them is NUCLEAR.

I was in absolute awe of the sacrilegious eroticism, the psychological edge, and religiously soaked depravity in this book. This story isn’t about good versus evil. It’s about survivors who were made monsters by the church that should’ve saved them. It’s about reclaiming your body, your soul, your truth, even if you have to crawl through hell to do it. They loved violently because no one ever loved them gently.

They found holiness not in prayer, but in pain. In each other’s brokenness. In blood, they baptized themselves free.

Mila Crawford does not hold back. She writes what others are afraid to whisper. Every scene pushes the boundary between fear and ecstasy, heaven and hell, devotion and degradation.

Mila, thank you for being bold. Thank you for writing without shame. And thank you for reminding us that sometimes, the darkest stories are where the light finally gets in. You ripped open the cage and let the monsters breathe 🙏

Quotes I loved

“How blasphemous of you, Little Doe. Crying to God while being fucked by the devil... The next time you cry his name while I’m between your legs, I’ll bite this off and gorge on your blood.”
“Now that I’ve had a taste, it’s unlikely I’ll let you go free.” ~Asmodeus

“You’re so beautiful, Lamb. To those who are defiled and unbelieving, purity is an illusion, but as I look at you, I see Heaven and a chance to reach the gates of paradise. With you, there’s hope.” ~Iblis

“His cock curves perfectly within me, and I explode again as he releases into my pussy. Iblis cums in my mouth, and Asmodeus fills my ass.” “This moment... They aren’t beasts, at least not in this instant.” ~Eden

“We’re a quadrinity. If one part is missing, the system breaks down into a dysfunctional mess. But together, we complete the four aspects of humanity... I’ve also healed in ways I never thought possible. Now, when we do fucked-up shit, it’s because we’ve discovered we like it, not because we’re forced to.” ~Abbadon

𝐍𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧:
Lucy Rivers - Eden
James Cassidy - Asmodeus
Corvin King - Iblis
Grayson Owens - Abbadon

This wasn’t an audiobook. It was a confession. A ritual. A rebirth.
Lucy Rivers breathed Eden’s soul
James Cassidy became darkness
Corvin King’s Iblis shattered me
and Grayson Owens made Abaddon bleed and burn.

Eden needs information, and the only way she can do that is get info for the Cinders to get her info. Piece of cake lol now she has to go into the woods and see the beast, let's say the first meetings weren't happy, lol. Knocked out and chained up and meeting each guy one by one and see how psycho they are was not what Eden needed. But she made a deal, and if she can get through it, she'll get her info. And boy, the spice was hart between all of them. It was dirty, rough, and holy!! The group clicked very fast. The twins were the more Dom in the group, and Iblis was a switch to me and reminded me more of Delcan in The Hunt with his religious views and punishments.

And I figured it out early on what Eden was looking for when she said boys. So I kinda figured out who she was looking for.. I'm glad the guys got revenge for her it was a gross revenge lol but a good one. Now they are living happy in the woods enjoying each other.

Now im say don't read the Epilogue if you're religious, lol. And the next book is Cinder. We saw a glimpse of them.

No ow/om drama, no cheating, slight secondary character, drama, sexy times, no virgins (mentioned they were groomed or SA)

CHECK YOUR TRIGGERS. This one is a WILD ride.

When I tell you I was wildly GASPING throughout this entire novella… it was absolutely dark & depraved and I’ve never read anything like it.

Coming in at around 140 pages, this novella explored basically every single trigger in dark romance history and went “why the hell not?!”. It was taboo, primal, breeding & involved a fuck tonne of religious trauma.

It’s not going to be for everyone but somehow it was exactly what I wanted to read right now and I LOVED this.

Hats off to the author for writing (and the narrators for reading out loud) the most depraved, deranged and diabolically unhinged thing I’ve ever heard. Came for the narrator, stayed despite the extensive – and frankly, horrifying – readout of content warnings. Felt like a 50s housewife as I did my little weekend chores and clutched my pearls every 3 minutes. Finished this staring at a wall and knowing I need to have a conversation with my IG algorithm about confusing dark fantasy with horror smut.

It’s a good, very unhinged dark story with a wtf moment in chapter 1. It is MMMF and the audiobook is duet style. If you are wanting a very unhinged, blasphemous story this is definitely one you want to read but please read the trigger warnings.

Another push the boundaries book by Mila Crawford that absolutely hits it out of the park again!

This is the 3rd book in the darkly ever after series but as always, these books are not for the faint of heart. If you have any kind of triggers definitely check those before reading.

These dark why choose fairytale reimaginings always seem to hit my kindle at just the right time. And this one was no exception. If you like dark possessive alpha holes and aren’t scare of a lot of violence then you won’t want to miss out on this book.

I can honestly say I have never read anything quite like it. Now obviously there are similarities to the two previous books in the series but I can honestly say this is not only the darkest book out of them but probably the darkest one I have ever read in my life.
Its dark, gory, depraved, gruesome and shocking. If you are a religious person I wouldn't not go anywhere near this as you will probably have a coronary.
All that being said, I did still enjoy it. Now that probably should leave me a little worried!

Last night I wanted something spicy and and dark (very out of character for me lol) and it was fine but today I was finishing it and I was going ??????? the whole time. This is just really not my genre. But if you like gore and spice and general fucked-up-ness then this will be right up your alley.

Well.
That was filthy, unhinged, a bit disgusting, f*cked up and captivating.
I loved it.

The audiobook is multicast duet narration:
Lucy Rivers as Eden
Grayson Owens as Abbadon
Corvin King as Iblis
James Cassidy as Asmodeus
They are INSANELY perfect.
That’s borderline a content warning itself.

Tropes (if I can make something out of it)
Polyamorous (MMMF)
Dark dark (dark) romance

First and foremost, if you don't like gore, don't listen to this one. There are a lot of body parts that are not where they should be.
If you are a religious person, mayyyyybe listen to something else.

And then please check all the content warnings below:
Religious Trauma (it’s basically a plot)
Masochism and Sadism
Blasphemy
Domestic Violence
Child abuse
Forced drug addiction
Violence
Gore
Torture scenes

Kink warnings
Fear Play, Breath Play, Degradation, Praise, DVP, DP, Angel Wings, Cream-Pie (clean up), Spit Play, Impact play Primal, Humiliation, Somno, Dubcon.
Play with red human fluid (like gross)
Play with sharp objects meant to cut meat (like really sharp)

Now if you still want to know what the f*ck is that, you’re welcome and enjoy the ride.

I received the audio as an ALC. This is my honest review :)

IF YOU SEE THIS STOP AND LISTEN!!
This is a DARK romance and NOT for the MF weak. Read the dang TWs and take them seriously. These characters all have TRAUMATIC pasts and they don't sugar coat their pain, their kinks, or their thoughts.

Eden has been searching for something and she's so close to receiving the information she needs. all she has to do is steal from the most deranged trio in the game, The Beasts.

Assmodeus, Abaddon, and Iblis are men blanket in darkness and cruelty. Their past is gut-wrenching and their present is saturated in blood and torture.

When The Beasts find Eden in their home, they can't help but struggle to decide is she's prey or precious. Maybe both?

The narration and audio on this book were PHENOMENAL. As someone that read Primal Beasts when it first released, I can say that the casting was FLAWLESS and the narrators ATE. Definitely hold on to your panties and hydrate before starting this.

The story is Mila Crawford dark, deranged, deadly, and emotional.

The way I struggled to finish this book with only 130 pages it was such a horrible book to say the least to the point I didn’t know what was happening. And is Daphnie their sister by blood or family friend. Honestly I thought this book was going to be about the demons of hell in the bible but no they are just named after them and they are vampires? But also human? I couldn’t work out if they were supernatural or not. It made no sense and the characters where just all muddled all over the place in terms of who they were. A lot of it could have been explored especially the main female lead character and her past, like a lot of new stuff was getting introduced right towards the end of the book. I get the author wanted to surprise readers but it didn’t work, because a lot of it was just left. There was no structure to say the least. The series just seemed to be all the same really just different characters but morally same plot. I can’t believe I read the third book but here we are.

AUDIO REVIEW

So when I say you need to check the trigger warnings in this book I mean ⚠️YOU NEED TO CHECK THE TRIGGER WARNINGS ⚠️

This book is pitch black dark and depraved and not one of the men in this book have any redeeming qualities. Having said that my dark romance loving heart ate up every second of it!!

This book is full of gore and the most depraved spice in very questionable places but that's what I loved about it!!
And the cast was absolutely phenomenal. Mila always chooses the perfect people to voice her stories and it makes them that much more enjoyable.

4 / 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐️
100.000 / 5 🌶️
Spicy chapters: Pretty much the whole book

First Person, 4 MC's POV (MMMF)

3 MMC's and 1 FMC

There's not much of a plot. The smut and spice are the entire plot. Beware of TW as there's a looooot of over the top kinky stuff in this book. And also lots of disturbing themes regarding violence and gore. The names of the MMC's are, imo, complicated for no reason.

Overall, 'Primal Beasts' is an entertaining read, but definitely not for the faint of heart. As mentioned, there are plenty of unhinged moments that I wish I could forget... oh well🤷‍♀️

Happy reading! 📚

OOOOKAY what?! This is so unhinged and I am so here for it. Mila! Made my jaw drop a few times. Doesn’t happen much anymore but damn. So much bl••d, stabby stabby, and spit. I am kinda speechless after that. Iblis, Abaddon, and Asmodeus are so deranged and Depraved but Eden is their perfect match. That girl’s got her work cut out for her with keeping up with them. These books just get darker and darker, making them even better than the last one.

Depraved!!

Omg what did I just read?!? Primal Beasts was so unhinged and depraved that it made my dark romance heart VERY happy! There were scenes that I absolutely loved and may be triggering to some readers, so I recommend taking caution if there is something that you may not like. Primal Beasts is the definition of a depraved dark romance with MMFM that was spicy as hell and dark that I really enjoyed!
