Michelle is a mild-mannered librarian, still living with her parents in Des Moines at 35. Her only superpower is remembering synonyms for words, oh, and her prodigious memory. But a sense of adventure is stirring within her, and she moves to Settlers Gate in Colorado to become the senior librarian, and take on a completely new life.
From day one Gaius the 'maintenance man' at Fort Carson threatens to pull her into his world – and would that be a bad thing? The file in her mind labeled How To Be A Woman is disappointingly empty, especially after her experiences with Martin the Mistake. But will she grab these new opportunities and run with them, or not?

This is a really sweet story of romance and personal growth. I had originally given this a 4 star rating. However, I am not one who enjoys sensual materials, especially when it goes on for 4 or 5 pages. I totally skip it. I'll admit there was only one such episode, but I don't feel it was at all necessary for the storyline, so I dropped my rating to 3 stars. There was another incident and it was much shorter, but I still don't think it was necessary for the storyline. Other than that, it was a good story with good twists and turns that made for a good story.
This is a heartwarming and romantic tale that will captivate readers who crave a sweet and wholesome love story, a dash of small-town charm, and a heroine's journey of self-discovery and growth, making it a perfect fit for fans of contemporary romance and cozy fiction.
