Kerry Stephens is beyond excited. The job promotion with the cable company came through taking her out of the office in into the field. She needs this job and didn’t know how much more she could stomach her current boss. Anything has to be better than working for him, right? So much for wishful thinking.
The Bowen family is buying the floundering cable company and they want Kerry to help clean house. The problem? Kerry doesn’t want to talk. She may not be happy there under the current conditions, but she isn’t going to be responsible for anyone losing their job. She doesn’t need any more problems than she already has.
Reed’s new house is understaffed and the only furniture that’s arrived so far is a bedroom set. The last thing he expected is to find his mate so soon after coming back home. Reed is ready to settle down and is ecstatic to find her, he just doesn’t understand why Kerry isn’t.
Kerry’s entire life she has never had anyone to love her and trust doesn’t come easy for her. Daily threats from her step-sister’s boyfriend don’t help.
When things get heated will Reed be able to intervene? And when push comes to shove can the family stay together, or will a devastating blow drive the family apart forever? Find out in the final installment of the Bowen Boys―Reed

Her boss finds out that she did her first job alone with no help her boss takes her to meet the Bowen because they interested in buy the cable company .. Kerry wanted no part of them buying or working for the cable company she has quit her job .. Kerry's family is nuts and they think she owes them to support them .. Reed knows Kerry is his mate and he is not going to back down from Kerry .. Kerry wants no part of anything Can Reed change her mind ??
'Reed' is the sixth and last book in Kathi S. Barton's "Bowen Boys" series and this one pulled, tugged, and ripped every emotion it possibly could from me. It started off simply with the Bowens buying the local cable company and then turned into more of an investment than any of them thought was possible at the time. Kerry had worked there for ten years and the management that was in place had only been there for the last couple of years and the leads that were there were not only incompetent but bordered on harassing and bullying towards the employees, especially the women. She's been given what she felt like was a promotion when she was made a lineman. The only problem was, the man she was supposed to train with wasn't whom she was paired with and the one she was paired with left her at the job with no phone, no food or water, and no tools. It goes from bad to worse from there. You'd think that after watching five older brothers mess up when they found their mates Reed would have known at least a few things not to do. Not so much. Apparently, it's in the Bowen genes to do things backasswards and make their mate mad. So many twists, turns, and secrets come out in this storyline. There's even an act of heroism that absolutely broke my heart for this family but things worked in the end. Not only was this a great story within itself, but it was also a fantastic ending for a wonderful series.
What a great story to end a fantastic series with that will stay with me always. Kathi writes characters that pulls you in and a story unbelievably captivating, that all you want to do is stay attached to this world and these characters for as long as possible. Reed is the last of the Bowen brothers to find his mate and Kerry is a perfect match. The chemistry between the two is explosive and panty melting hot. This story blew me away and reminded me that through happy times, unexpected losses and everything in between that Family is everything. I'm going to miss this series but I know through the creative and genius mind of Kathi S. Barton she will consistently brings us sexy, heart-warming, and suspenseful stories with some of the most incredibly strong heroes and heroines I've ever read about. I for one can't wait to see what's next.
For the lovers of Kathi S. Barton, Reed will not disappoint you. You would think that after watching each of his brothers find a mate and screw it up by going all alpha on them that Reed would have learned. But no, it seems that each of the Bowen boys have to go through something to learn. Each "lesson" they are taught by their new found mates is a chuckle waiting to happen. Reed does seem to learn a bit faster then his brothers. Kerry is a very likable person. She is a perfect match for Reed. I am sad to see the end of the Bowen Boys come along, but knowing that there are other amazing series being developed helps ease the loss.
This is the last book in the Bowen Boys series -- Meet Reed - who after seeing his 5 brothers find mates and be total jerks finally meets his mate and he is not happy. Meet Kerry - who works at the cable company and finally gets to work outside installing cable into people's homes. Another great read by Kathi Barton - you truly don't want to miss out on this -- congrats Kathi
Enjoyable and emotional close to this series. I really enjoyed this story and how it plays out with the psycho pseudo family and how insane they were with their entitled crap. I just couldn’t get my head around what happens to George. Now I remember why I have never read this series again since the first time many years ago. I hate things like this happening and upsetting me. I want to finish a series or book feeling happy and content. Not choked up. Read and posted a review years ago from back of book. Reread in the box set.
This book was artfully crafted and uniquely designed to pull you into the pages where secrets and fairytales live and dreams come true for those who believe!
This book was enchanting, enthralling and endlessly entertaining where stubbornness and determination to rise above conflict with a core of steel to get to where love and happiness lives! The only thing that you need then is God's grace to cover you up!
I can't believe the Bowen boys have come to an end. Reed was always my favorite of the brothers and I just couldn't wait to get my hands on his book. Reed is coming back home to Ohio after working with Lynne in the CIA. He's ready to settle down and to do that he's ready to find his mate. He's seen the mistakes his brothers have made with their mates and he knows what not to do...Or so he thinks. Kerry is working as a CSR (customer service rep) with a cable company but wants to do more than site behind a desk. When she's finally able to work as a lineman she's ecstatic. However, not everything is happy and go lucky with her promotion. She has a family who is bleeding her dry and when she's not cooperating she's put in her place by her sister's boyfriend.
I can honestly say I didn't find one thing wrong with this story or series! I love Kathi Barton's book. There's love, humor, and in the case of this story a few tears. Definitely a recommend read!
**I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book**

As with all good things, they must come to an end. Reed is the last of the Bowen boys to find his mate and it will be a battle to get a happy ending. Kerry is tired, her family takes her money and she gets crap from her boss at work. When her company is purchased by the Bowen's it puts her right in the path of Reed. Reed is not sure what to make of Kerry but he does know that she needs him, now he just has to find a way to make her believe that. Danger is still evident is this last storyline, the bad guys make you want to slap the crap out of them and sometimes the good guys as well. This is a very emotional storyline, events happen that are out of the characters control and the results will be devastating. In each story we have watched the family grow and become closer then ever. Each female mate addition has added to the dynamic making it better and this one is no exception. While I did smile and laugh some in this book, I also cried big fat crocodile tears when things did not go as I wanted them too. With each story the author made you feel part of the family, you felt their frustrations, sorrow, happiness and their fear. I am sorry to see them go but maybe the author will bring them back with stories about their children so we can see what happens to friends we made as we followed their tales.
Reed & Kerry's story is one of the most happiest & saddest books in this series. Both parts are at the end of the book; Kerry has a very ungrateful, demanding & money grabbing step-family that she tries to get away from while also trying not to get fired from her new job as a linewoman at a cable company that she used to be a customer service representative at (she's been wanting to work as a linewoman for quite some time now). Reed's family just happens to be thinking of buying the cable company; so that's how they meet. In book 4 (& this character has been in this series since book 1) made me laugh so hard that I was snorting while I was laughing but in this book he has me crying & I think that you might too as all the characters in this series just draw you in. I really enjoyed this series & will be reading Moe books from this author.
I was given a copy of this book by the author for my honest review. Awesome ending to the Bowen boys series. It is a stand alone book. Reed is sure he knows what to do when he finds his mate after watching his brothers. But he finds out he know nothing. Kerry will have him jumping all over. Before they find there happy ending.
Loved this book and am enjoying the series. Unfortunately I'm not reading the series in order . I loved that Kathi inserted herself in the series when the cook mentioned a new series he was starting about a vampire named Aaron and his kiss. Loved that!
Last book in series. As usual there was action, mystery, kick ass female ,lots of laughs and hot mateing moments. Loved all the books in this series and this was a great ending for these brothers. Don't pass up this series.
I love this one. she keep running from him but he wouldn't let her get away. everyone trying to.kill her and she still had resilience. this book made me smile, made me cry and made feel. this was a great ending to a series. can't wait to start the next one.
She saved the best for last! I loved Reed, but I'm so disappointed that the Bowen Boys books have come to an end. I guess I'll just have to drown my sorrows with the men of Lanning's Leap...LOL!
What a fantastic ending for this Series. I am so sad to see this series end because it was soooo fantastic. Defanetly one of my favorite series to reread.
