Bronwyn Pierce has poured everything into The Haven, her family's exclusive mountain resort in Gossamer Falls. But when financial discrepancies surface and the numbers suggest something far darker than simple mismanagement, she's forced to call on the one person with the skills to help Mo Quinn, a former Army Intelligence officer, her first love, and the last person she ever wanted to trust again.
Mo has spent years avoiding the woman he once loved and the secrets that tore them apart. But when Bronwyn calls, he can't walk away--especially when it's clear someone wants her gone for good. As they dig deeper into the treacherous motives behind a blackmail scheme, their proximity reignites long-buried feelings neither of them is ready to face. And when the evidence points to an unexpected culprit, Mo faces an impossible trust the proof in front of him or trust his heart.
With danger closing in and no one else to turn to, Bronwyn and Mo must break years of silence to uncover who's trying to destroy The Haven. They'll have to risk everything--including their hearts--to expose the truth before it's too late.
Lynn H. Blackburn skillfully draws you into a thrilling plot taut with gripping suspense and romantic tension that will have you turning pages long into the night.

Ever since reading “Never Fall Again”, I’ve been curious to what Bronwyn and Mo’s deal is about each other. You could tell there was a lot of backstory between them and in this final book of the series, we finally get their story. It’s messy. Complicated because of a family feud and also because of very poor choices on our main character’s parts. Like the second book in the series, I have mixed feelings on this third book.
I do think there were a few too many parts where Mo felt a little too unlike the broody, moody grump he was: he would share about his feelings with his cousins/sibling/friends in great length…so it overall felt a little cheesy and mushy for my tastes. However, I did like his protector vibe and how he still showed how much he liked her with actions rather than words (because they didn’t talk directly to each other for half the book, mind you). I felt similar to the male lead in the second book, Gray, with his “definitely written by a woman” lines.
If you’re interested in this series, it would be best to read the prior two books in the series in my opinion because they are very intertwined with the characters, backstories, and inside jokes. There’s a lot that isn’t explained in this book that was explained in the other books. It took me a little bit to get into the story and try to keep everyone straight and all the family connections, but after a while, I stopped trying and just hoped for the best on remembering how everyone was connected. 😅
This book was mostly romantic, with not a whole lot of suspense. I think this is partially because that’s how this series has been set-up, but also because Mo does a lot of computer work to find out the bad guys rather than chase them down himself. I would put it at 75/25 on the romance vs suspense parts. The faith content was light throughout the book and I would have liked to see more of that from both Bronwyn and Mo. I found the ending to be a little unsatisfying and anticlimactic because the motives are explained as a catch-up for other characters rather than our main characters finding it out for themselves. I think this is a personal preference—or rather, something I don’t prefer—which is why I noticed it, but probably won’t bother other readers.
Little complaints aside, I did enjoy different elements of this book and read it within a day. The writing style flowed well and our couple was cute together (once they started talking—their friends/sibling/cousins have more patience than me for dealing with this for years). Because of mentions of an underage teen girl being groomed, seduced, and lured away, I would only suggest this book for ages 16/17+. There really aren’t many details about this which was good, but I wish it could have been a bit more of a warning about that happening rather than a “oh, that’s what happened. So anyway…”, which is what it felt like at times. There were a few crude comments I didn’t care for reading as well that affects the ratings I gave for this book.
*BFCG may (Read the review to see) recommend this book by this author. It does not mean I recommend all the books by this author. *I received this book for free from the Publisher (Revell) for this honest review.
I simply couldn't read this book fast because it was exactly what I was hoping it would be (after waiting all the way through the other two books!) and I just wanted to savor it. Mo and Bronwyn are perfect together and they have such an interesting moment of realizing it...eeek...let's just say danger was involved. Nothing like a bit of facing death to give you an idea of what you really need in your life!
Highly recommended--but you have to read the rest of the series first to get the whole story of these two.
LAST TO FALL (Gossamer Falls Book #3) by Lynn H. Blackburn is the exciting third book in the Gossamer Falls Christian romantic suspense series. This series enters around a multi-generational family in Gossamer Falls, North Carolina. Each story features a new complete couple’s romance, but the suspense and crimes in the town continue over all the books as well as many of the characters, so I feel it is best to read them in the order published.
Bronwyn Pierce successfully runs the Haven, an exclusive mountain resort for her extended family. Recently though she has felt unsettled and felt watched as well as feeling there is a problem with some of the resorts accounts. She feels she has no choice but to ask for help from the one man she felt she could never trust again.
Montgomery “Mo” Quinn is a former Army Intelligence officer and now works personally with computers in criminal investigations. Even with all the mistrust, hurt, and noncommunication between them, Mo can do nothing but help the one woman he has always loved. As they investigate, their feelings reignite. But as Mo delves into the Haven’s files, he discovers blackmail payments and money laundering and is put in an untenable situation of trusting his heart or trusting the files. They are in the crosshairs and must risk everything before a killer succeeds.
This is my favorite of the three and they all have been very good. I have been waiting to discover Bronwyn and Mo’s backstories, and I really enjoyed the alternating chapters that revealed everything. Besides being an overall lovely book about forgiveness, family, and love, the author intricately ties the H/h romance story with all the innocence of their childhood infatuation, the perceived betrayals, and then adult forgiveness and understanding into the full family history seamlessly. This is a Christian romantic suspense so there are no sex scenes and just kissing between the H/h. The suspense is well paced with plenty of action and ties together all the missing pieces from all criminal activities from the previous books as well.
I highly recommend this captivating and heartfelt addition to the Gossamer Falls Christian romantic suspense series.
Spectacular conclusion! What I loved most about this series is the characters. There's a strong friend/cousin group that have been close since elementary school. This combined with the beautifully described mountains in North Carolina and a solid suspense thread make for an engaging novel.
In this last of the series, Mo and Bronwyn get their second chance. They loved each other in high school, but split up when Bronwyn chose to trust a way out of her small town.
There is plenty of action too, but it was the slow burn of Mo and Bronwyn and the friend group that had me turning pages the most.
My gratitude to the author and publisher Revell for a complimentary copy of the novel. I was not required to post a review and all opinions expressed are my own.
Nice end to the series! We get Mo and Bronwyn's romance! This is 75% romance/25% suspense - mostly due to the nature of their relationship, past and everything they need to work out together.
This is the end to the Gossamer Falls Series, a Christian Romantic Suspense series. Bronwyn is strong woman who has poured her heart into The Haven, her family's resort. Financial discrepancies come up, tension builds, and she thinks there is more at play here other than financial issues. She gets help from Mo, her first love, and that adds an emotional layer to everything. Mo is a standout guy, he's a former Army Intelligence officer so he brings a lot of skills to the tables for the investigation.
I enjoyed my time with this one, as I was really ready for Mo and Bronwyn's romance. I am not always crazy about flashbacks in romance books, so those bits took me out the story a smidge. However, I do love the family thread and other characters we get throughout the book from previous books. Because of that, I recommend each book is read in order so you're not spoiled.
Also, while I love a good romance in the romantic suspense reads, I think I would like a bit more of the suspense elements to keep the plot moving, if that makes sense.
Overall, glad to have finished this series and would recommend!
*Content/Trigger Warnings: Mentions of drug trafficking, shootings, alcohol, deaths, someone trying to kill Bronwyn, cancer of grandparent, eating disorder, weapons, general crimes, nothing explicit but general themes of those items. Romance is kisses only and no language.
Thank you to Revell for sending me a complementary copy of this book to honestly read and review. All thoughts are my own.
“I’m not sure what you’re doing, but I’m falling in love with you. Or maybe I’m remembering that I’ve always been in love with you and now I’m figuring out what that looks like.” ~ Mo This guy! Such a swoon. I am a second chance romance kinda girl, and so I was absolutely waiting for this story at least three books ago. Yes, I’ve enjoyed every book in Gossamer Falls, but the struggle was real lol. And the payoff was worth it. Lynn Blackburn dangled these two from the start, and I just had to know the mystery of why childhood friends and lovers seemed to hate each other. Very good story. And they both had some growing up to do, so the backstory woven into Last To Fall was very helpful and added another layer to this witty mystery.
I loved this book so much! It was a great conclusion to the series. I especially loved Bronwyn and Mo and seeing their relationship develop.
It was also wonderful spending more time with the Quinns. They’re so supportive of each other, and they add so much to the story. I was also really happy to see Sabrina mentioned, and that the next series is connected to this one. I’m really hoping we’ll see more crossover with these characters. Definitely looking forward to what comes next!
This story was so wonderful! I’ve been waiting on Mo and Bronwyn’s story, and I knew it would be filled with ups and downs because these two have a history that really pulls at your heartstrings. But gosh, it was so, so worth it. This family is just so special.
Mo and Bronwyn have a past. They were childhood friends who fell in love, but the choices they made ended up breaking apart not just their relationship, but their friendship too. They aren’t even speaking anymore. When The Haven starts having suspicious activity that threatens Bronwyn’s livelihood, the only one who can help her is Mo. But before they can work together, they have to work through their past. And when the threat is gone… where does that leave them?
This was a romance I’ve been waiting on, and it did not disappoint. Spending more time with the Quinn family is always time well spent. They really are wonderful. I loved revisiting past couples and look forward to the next series by Lynn.
I received a complimentary copy. This review reflects my honest opinion.
Last to Fall was an awesome conclusion to Lynn H. Blackburn's Gossamer Falls series. We finally get Bronwyn's story, learning more about her and what happened in her past with Mo. And why they aren't talking to each other anymore. I really wanted to see what it would take for them to start talking again. Boy was it quite a shock.
This story is told from the points of view of both Bronwyn and Mo, plus we get to alternate between present day and the past, learning more and more about the relationship between Bronwyn and Mo, starting way back when they first met in elementary school. I love the way the author wove the past and present together. At the same time we have the mystery of what is going on with the finances at The Haven and who is targeting Bronwyn. Things definitely get suspenseful, though not ultra suspenseful.
I loved seeing the relationship she had with the Quinn family. A family she had technically been forbidden from becoming friends with, even in the present day. As a Pierce she wasn't supposed to be mingling with such a family. And yet, she had become good friends with them, and they are who she can call on when she needs help.
I loved the twists and the suspense and the romance. I could definitely agree with Mo's relatives who were ready to see Bronwyn and Mo get over the hurts of the past and forgive and give their relationship a chance.
This book wrapped up this story well, and the series as a whole. I will definitely miss Gossamer Falls and these characters.
I received an e-copy of this book through NetGalley and was not required to write a favorable review. These are my own honest thoughts.
Beautiful Gossamer Falls and the exclusive resort The Haven is the setting for the final book in this intriguing series. Bronwyn Pierce is the capable CEO of the resort that caters to the elite seeking a private getaway. But she has a troubled past with Mo Quinn and they have not spoken in years. She finds herself seeking his help as a forensic accountant when some things in the resort books do not add up. This was an emotionally charged, dynamic story with complex relationships of the feuding Pierce and Quinn clans. It also told of the solid faith of the Quinn cousins and their close bond. Hooray for praying Granny Quinn. When the bullets start flying, danger draws ever nearer. And Mo is determined to protect Bronwyn. They are forced to evaluate the events that drew them apart. Of course Love wins in the end. This tense story of sabotage and underhanded tactics by relatives does not let up until the explosive conclusion. I loved the whole Gossamer Falls series and this story packs a punch. * A complimentary copy of this book was provided by Revell through PICT tours and via NetGalley. I was not required to post a favorable review. All opinions are mine alone.*
Finally Mo and Bronwyn's story! Bronwyn has discovered financial discrepancies at the resort and knows only one person she trusts to figure out what is going on, however she doesn't talk to him so how she enlists Meredith's help. It was entertaining to see how two people who refuse to talk to each other figure out ways to communicate. I really enjoyed the flashback's from previous years that provided the history and progression of their relationship and showed how it got to where it was today. What happens to get them to actually talk to one another? And will this have a positive impact on their future? I was so invested and loved how Mo stuck by Bronwyn even when she wasn't being cooperative. I was not disappointed. (I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.)
5 stars!! Oh my heart!! I've been waiting and waiting for this book to come out! I preordered this from Baker house and it came today!! I got a sticker, a book mark, and a autograph from the author!! I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH!!! I was so excited to finally read Bronwyn and Mo's story!! While it was a little frustrating that Mo and Bronwyn wouldn't speak to each other, I still loved how they forgave eachother! There wasn't as much suspense in Last to Fall compared to some of Lynn's other books but I still adored it! I highly recommend this book!
This is the 3rd and final book in the author's Gossamer Falls series and it's the one I've been waiting for! I was super excited to read it and it did not let me down!
Bronwyn Pierce, the esteemed CEO of The Haven, her family's exclusive mountain resort, has devoted her life to ensuring its unparalleled excellence. However, upon uncovering certain financial irregularities that hint at a more sinister truth, she knows who she needs to call. Mo is the best at what he does, and even though he's spent years avoiding Bronwyn, he can't just cast aside his first love, especially when there is danger lurking. As they are forced to work together to uncover who is trying to force Bronwyn out, old feelings start to resurface. Mo will do whatever it takes to protect the woman he has never stopped loving, and Bronwyn will find out family is not always blood. Are they willing to risk their lives and their hearts?
The final book in the Gossamer Falls series was definitely worth the wait. It was exciting, fast-paced, and packed with danger, action, and suspense. There was a lot of family drama, and the mystery kept me fully engaged. I loved reading Bronwyn and Mo's backstory and seeing where it all started and what exactly happened between them. I also loved revisiting the Quinn family. This was a total page-turner full of love, forgiveness, second chances, and a thrilling ride! A fantastic ending to an incredible trilogy! I enjoyed it so much and would highly recommend it!🩷
Last to Fall is the third and final book in the Gossamer Falls series. This one is Bronwyn and Mo's story. I have really enjoyed this series as a whole. This one is probably my favotire out of the three. It does work well as a stand alone book, but I do recommend the first two books as you really get to know all of the characters by starting at the beginning. In this one we finally get to see why Bronwyn and Mo don't speak directly to each other. Their story is so satisfying given their long history of friendship and young love. I loved them together. The mystery was really good too and the solution also kind of wrapped up the entire series. I highly recommend this one.
Book Review: Last to Fall (Gossamer Falls #3) by Lynn H. Blackburn
Last to Fall by Lynn H. Blackburn is a romantic suspense novel that blends danger, second chances, and emotional healing into a tightly woven story set in the small town of Gossamer Falls. The book follows Bronwyn Pierce, the CEO of her family’s luxury mountain resort, The Haven, whose life begins to unravel when financial irregularities point to something far more dangerous than simple mismanagement. With no one else she can trust, she turns to Mo Quinn, a former Army intelligence officer and the man she once loved but hasn’t spoken to in years.
As Bronwyn and Mo are forced back into each other’s lives, the story carefully explores their complicated past. Their relationship, which began in childhood and grew into something deeper, is now strained by years of silence and unresolved hurt. Through present-day interactions and glimpses into their shared history, the book builds a layered understanding of what went wrong between them, while also showing how much still lingers beneath the surface.
The suspense element runs parallel to the romance, as Bronwyn and Mo investigate a growing web of blackmail, corruption, and threats tied to The Haven. What starts as financial discrepancies quickly escalates into something far more dangerous, with real consequences for Bronwyn’s safety. The stakes continue to rise as they uncover hidden motives and realize that someone is actively working against her, forcing them into close proximity and constant tension.
Beyond the central plot, the novel also emphasizes themes of family, loyalty, and forgiveness. Bronwyn’s relationship with her family is strained and complex, adding another layer of conflict that influences both her decisions and her emotional growth. Mo’s steady presence and willingness to help even after everything highlights the depth of their connection and the possibility of reconciliation, even when trust has been broken for years.
Overall, Last to Fall is a strong conclusion to the Gossamer Falls series, combining emotional depth with steady suspense. It balances romance and mystery in a way that keeps the story engaging without losing its emotional core.
If you enjoy second-chance romance, small-town settings, and suspense-driven plots with meaningful character development, this book offers a satisfying and immersive reading experience.
Wow! What a stunning conclusion to a favorite series! Last to Fall had me hanging on every word. I’ve been dying to learn the history between Bronwyn & Mo, & I Ioved watching their childhood-sweethearts turned enemies romance finally become second-chance love. Lynn H. Blackburn delivers achingly beautiful romance, thrilling suspense, delightful humor, & sweet faith in this fantastic finale.
As children, Mo & Bronwyn were inseparable, caught in the middle of the bitter Pierce–Quinn feud. As teens, friendship bloomed into love until one fateful day. Now enemies, Bronwyn must set aside her feelings when financial discrepancies threaten her exclusive resort. She’s poured her heart & soul into The Haven, determined to prove herself to her demanding family. Mo’s the only one with the expertise to uncover the truth, but working together means reopening old wounds she’s tried to bury.
Mo Quinn never got over Bronwyn. He still loves her, but painful memories keep him guarded. When she asks for help, he can’t refuse, especially when her life is threatened. The blackmail scheme he uncovers could destroy Bronwyn & The Haven unless he proves her innocence. As the danger escalates, he risks not only his life, but his heart.
I adored this story! I loved how the author wove past & present together, unraveling Bronwyn & Mo’s complicated history. They’ve danced around each other all series long, & the reasons are finally revealed. Watching the gruff recluse find love & happiness after everyone else has found theirs was so satisfying. The simmering attraction, the crumbling walls, & sizzling kisses… perfection.
The mystery kept me glued to the pages. Every time I expected a respite from the danger, another suspenseful twist hit. Bronwyn’s family is absolutely cutthroat, & my heart ached for her. I especially loved how Mo’s family embraced her as their own. The delightful humor added the perfect lighthearted touch—cornflake ice cream?!
Highly recommend this amazing book & series! While I’m so sad to see the series end, I look forward to the next adventure. I received an advanced copy from the publisher with no expectation of a positive review. All opinions are completely my own & provided voluntarily.
3.25⭐️ Yeahhhhh so I don’t know why I ignored literally every review saying do not read this series out of order. Did I do that anyway? Um yeah. Yeah I did. Should I have? NOPE.
I could tell that I missed out on A LOT by reading this last book first. Since the people from the first 2 books, and even some characters from other series, played such a large part in this book. Like I wouldn’t even call them side characters. They were main characters.
With all of that said, I couldn’t even enjoy my experience reading this. We already have character development and an understanding of Cal, Landry, Meredith and Gray, who were the main couples in books 1 and 2. But I’m obviously introduced to EVERYONE in this book. And I just missed out on so much. But on top of that, this story was just kind of boring anyways.
Mo and Bronwyn literally, and I’m not joking, do not speak to each other till about 60% of the way through the book. 60%! They speak through others while the other person was in the room, and I just was like y’all are 35 years old? Coulda fooled me. Ridiculous. And the reason for them to finally speak to each other was absolute insanity.
I didn’t care for the flashback chapters of them growing up together. And the plot dragged and dragged. It didn’t get crazy till the last 80% and even then, the climax was short-lived. Gray coming through the roof was comedy gold for some reason though😂
Some really big positives though to this story are the found family and the incredible characters. Seriously some of the best found family out there. Truly. And I did love every single character. It’s just unfortunate that that’s all that was really good about this book. There wasn’t much romance until 80% and then there wasn’t much suspense so what even do we call this book? Cause it ain’t romantic suspense.
I think I would have enjoyed this much better if I read the other 2 books first, and that’s on me.
Read if you enjoy: - It’s always been you - Dual POV - Childhood flashbacks - Clean romance - “Romantic suspense” - Healing - Second chance romance - Childhood friends to lovers
Content 💋 - Kisses only - No language - There are a few triggering things such as grooming, murder, attempted murder, parental neglect. Quite a few things honestly.
I loved it!! Last To Fall will keep you glued to the story and staying up way past your bed time. I know it did me. I just couldn't stop turning the pages and finished it in the wee hours of the morning.
I have loved each one of the Gossamer Falls series. I highly recommend them all!
"Whoever said blood was thicker than water hadn't known about the Pierce family." A tale of greed, conspiracy, and someone out to destroy the CEO of The Haven, likely one of her family members. "There was no trust. No love. No sense of togetherness. Lord, how did we get here? And how do I get out of this mess?"
Mo and Bronywn's story is THE BEST. They've had a complicated relationship over the years, from best friends to first love, to being torn apart, to unforgiveness and not speaking to one another. "But he was the one she needed now. He would come." We finally get the backstory of their relationship, and how they are once again in the same orbit trying to get to the bottom of what's going on while not getting killed.
While this story is filled with mystery, suspense, danger, and betrayal, it is also filled with very honest moments, a family made out of bonds, not blood, and a beautiful second chance at love. Readers will love this gripping tale!
Thank you to the author, publisher, and net galley for allowing me to read an early copy. All opinions are my own.
I have been waiting this entire series for Mo and Bronwyn to get together and this book did not disappoint. This Christian romantic suspense was a great read. Mo and Bronwyn were teenage sweethearts but then Bronwyn left unexpectedly and Mo left and joined the military. Years later they have learned how to be in company together but neither is talking to the other. We’ve been getting enemies to sweethearts vibes from these two this entire series. While this book is a stand-alone, you’ll love it more if you start with book one.
This book gives us both the past and the present and clears up a lot of questions and shows a lot of pain in the past. Bronwyn and Mo’s families have been at odds for so long. His are amazing and hers are not nice and have some criminal elements. When danger starts lurking, Mo and Bronwyn get closer together as he tries to protect her. I definitely didn’t want to put this book down and I totally binged it in a day.
I can’t wait to see what her next series holds and I’m excited to see more of some of these characters. One funny aspect of this book was a mention of a character’s alias and how unrealistic it is… but I literally have a brother-in-law with that same name! The romance is just kisses, intimacy level 1.5.
I received an ARC of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Last to Fall is book 3 in the Gossamer Falls series, which is set in North Carolina. From the moment I stepped back into this world, I was completely hooked. What follows is a hard-fought, second-chance romance wrapped in a high-stakes thriller.
The novel highlights Bronwyn Pierce and Mo Quinn. They have a "friends-to-lovers-to-strangers" backstory that will tug at your heartstrings. The Pierce family owns The Haven, a secluded resort for wealthy people, and Bronwyn is the CEO. After many years, the Pierce and Quinn families get thrown together as Bronwyn feels her life is in danger, and the resort’s finances are under threat. She reaches out to the only people she can trust—Mo and his family.
Things you can expect in this novel:
-Exciting and fast-paced scenes
-Double POV of Bronwyn and Mo
-Intense chemistry between main characters
-Close-knit family
-Healing from a heartbreaking past
-Can be read as a standalone (but you really need to read books one and two first)
You won't want to miss a single moment of this series. I loved how everything was wrapped up in the book and the series. A good thing is I know Lynn Blackburn will continue to write novels that are hard to put down.
****I received a complimentary book from publishers, publicists, NetGalley, book tours, and or authors. A review was not required and all opinions and ideas expressed are my own.****
Oh my, this captivating, emotional story is worthy of more than 5 stars! I have been waiting patiently for Mo and Bronwyn’s story and it did not disappoint! Their story is heartbreaking, emotional, and yet filled with hope and promise.
Falling in love as young teens, life choices tore them apart and shaken their present, but when Bronwyn feels threatened, there is only one person she can trust, Mo Quinn. As they work to discover who is behind the danger, they have to learn to open up and trust each other and very possibly heal.
I absolutely loved this series and completely fell in love with the Quinn’s! This book captured my heart, soul, and mind and I hated to see it end. One of the best series I have read!
I was given a complimentary copy of this book by the publisher through NetGalley. All opinions expressed are completely my own.
bronwyn pierce and mo Have spent years apart of no choice of their own. they were Raised as children together. but bronwyn parents were totally different people must say they're out there. not so much a loving family. selfish. All about their self.
Mo, Now his family is loving and caring, the family everyone wants.
This story has danger lurking around every corner.
But will they discover the bad guy before Anyone gets hurt.
This was a really good book, but I really think reading the first two books in the series would have made it even better.
I have been waiting for Mo and Bronwyn's story since Never Fall Again, the first book in the series. Blackburn has been building up the tension and the painful past between these two until we finally learn what really happened in this final book. And she did not disappoint with the story or the suspenseful plot surrounding Bronwyn and her family. I loved the found family for Bronwyn and the closeness of the Quinn clan. I loved how Bronwyn's past was tied into the current plot against her and the way Mo came to her rescue time after time even when they weren't speaking to each other. I always love Lynn Blackburn's books and this one is a keeper!
4.5 stars, rounding up. I've enjoyed this series so much. It was great learning Mo's and Bronwyn's story. I liked the flashbacks; they helped see what went on in the past to see why they were like they were towards each other. This book didn't have as much suspense as the others, and the main characters didn't talk to each other for a good bit in the book, but that's part of the story.
Again, the Quinn family is so amazing. They are so loving!
The first book in the series is still my favorite, but this book comes in second for me. Highly recommend this series.
It’s been a while since I’ve read a romantic suspense book I enjoyed so much! Mo and Bronwyn have been teased throughout this entire series, and it was so great to finally see them get over their issues and give into their love for each other. Lynn does such a great job writing characters, dialogue, and relationships. Mo is such a sweet, strong, and protective MMC, and I’m a sucker for childhood friends to lovers, second chance romance, and slow burn. Like her other books in this series, Last to Fall leans more on the romance and is light on the suspense, so if you’re usually a romance reader who’s been wanting to try some suspense, I would definitely recommend this book (and the entire series).
Content Notes: No spice or language. Trigger warning for manipulative/abusive relationships and minor injuries.
Thank you to Revell Fiction for sending me a copy of this book! All thoughts and opinions above are my own.
Last to Fall by Lynn H. Blackburn is the last book in the Gossamer Falls series. And this is the one fans were waiting for. Bronwyn Pierce and Mo Quinn have hated each other for two books, but have enough chemistry between them to burn down the entire town.
This story dives into the past. What happened between these two? But when Bronwyn is a target and her company is in jeopardy, Mo refuses to leave her side.
I love this entire series. It has heart, second chances, loveable characters, and some incredible scenery. I love stories with a close-knit community and small-town feel. And of course, I'm a big fan of the danger, suspense, and action.
Be sure to check out the entire Gossamer Falls series.
I received an ebook review copy of this book through NetGalley. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.
4.5 stars, rounded up Completed: Mar. 03/26 Series: Gossamer Falls, #3 Format: digital ARC
Challenge Prompt: ARoCF’s “a book where the MC is in one of the STEM fields” - MMC with technology.
Book #20 of 2026: This was a great wrap-up to a great series! Bronwyn/Beep and Montgomery/Mo were intriguing throughout the first two books. I was looking forward to reading how it would all play out.
The reader gets to go back in time to their growing up years and understand more about them and their history. The middle pieces of the puzzle fill in as we get our questions answered about a number of things, both back then and current day.
Of course all the small community charm and the Quinn Family bonds continue in this final book in the series; they are a treat just as with the first two books.
Bronwyn has a big growth arc and really comes into herself with a clearly fortified spine. The soft side of Mo and his fierce devotion to people he loves becomes fully evident.
It took a long time for this couple to get there but their first words to each other happen with an unusual bang!Their happy ending later on gives all the feels. It’s the kind of happy that causes you breathe out an oh-so-satisfied sigh of contentment…… with a side of, “SQUEEEEEEEE!!!”
*** BIG thanks to the Revell Publishing and Net Galley for an advanced digital copy. My honest review is voluntary and in my own words.
