Here's the pitch black retelling you didn't know you needed. 7 brothers all obsessed with Snow? Um, yes please. Going after the wicked stepmother and those tasked with hunting Snow down, I'm all for it. Getting to know the seven, each one distinct and uniquely around for a purpose was a slow treat. The banter and interactions were well done. In parts do you need to to pause reality yes, but then again this is a fiction story. A fairytale of vengeance against the evil queen that we all know and love, but redone with a darker twist. Adding in the back stories of the 7 and overcoming their puritanical upbringing takes this tale to a new level. Also, this story brings the spice, so if you're not a fan of heat this might not be the dish for you.

" Most girls at this party are worried about their mascara running; I’m making sure my ‘last resort’ is ready to draw. A pretty face is just a weapon’s favorite disguise, and I’ve been wearing one for far too long. I turn towards the treeline."

Tropes and triggers: fairytale retelling, primal, dub and non, revenge, pitch black, obsession, possessive MC'S, touch her and d!e, 🔪 play, homecoming

Ladies and gentlemen….

*insert TikTok music*

I went into this blind, and do not regret it.
I did have to get a piece of paper and map out who I believed was who.

You’re running from your past, and yet you’re stronger than you have ever been. You accompany your best friend to party at college simply because she asked you to go. You feel eyes on you the entire night; so you step into the woods outside of the property to see who could possibly be watching you. Is it you past finally catching up to you? All you years of training scream to run, and yet you can’t.

You find yourself in isolation in a cabin in the woods with a man you have never seen before. Yet, he seems to know you. He seems to have everything about you memorized. Along with his brothers, all six of them.
Yet, as a little time carries on (and the chloroform becomes less important) you realize that things are not always what they appear.

Welcome to the Blood on the Apple.
You meet Eira, the avenger who wants people to pay for their crimes; and then you meet the seven deadly sins. You have sloth, gluttony, envy, pride, lust, wrath, and greed. Yet, which brother will capture her heart?

Will it be the one who chased her through the woods, to chloroform her and drag her to the cabin? The brother who is broody and does not speak? The one who wants to add her to his ever growing collection of beautiful things? The one who wears a suit like a coat of armor? Or the one who sets her free?

Come along for this amazing journey where you discover that to truly heal you have to face down your past and step into the spotlight.

Noct, one body
6 brothers, Ash, Vex, Corbin, Riven, Lucian, Razer.
And one blue haired girl, Eira.

When they see her for the first time they already claimed her, little did they know about the monsters she is carrying with her. Just liked their own.

Rebekah I'm so impressed with this book. It's so freaking good. I have read all your books at this point and I can say this is your best!
The story flows so good, it's dark and intense (check trigger warnings girls) and I absolutely loved it.

The way you made all those brothers shine in their own way, everyone of them with their own story of how they became alive. But also how Eira can get trough them not by giving in but to fight them, push them to be better for her and can control them. But also how they fight each other's demons.

Huge thank you to Rebekah for the opportunity at this ARC!!

I was hooked into the story immediately!! Super fast paced which I sometimes enjoy. Getting a glimpse into Noct’s life with D.I.D and Eira’s past, it makes sense why they’re pulled towards each other. The ending was sweet and very turn-point.

The only thing that has me dropping 1 star is it felt a little unrealisticlly rushed to me how quickly Eira’s feelings develop towards Noct. Would still recommend this 10/10!!

Thank you to the author for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

If you’re considering Blood on the Apple, it’s important to know this leans far more dark romance than fantasy retelling. It is a Snow White reimagining, but the retelling elements feel more thematic than immersive. If you’re coming in for a strong fantasy-forward adaptation, this may not fully meet that expectation.

If, however, you enjoy dark romance with psychological intensity, morally complex characters, and trauma-driven dynamics, this will likely land much better for you.

I’m not typically a dark romance reader, so this was outside my usual genre. That said, the psychological structure behind the story is one of its strongest elements. The male lead’s fragmented identities, echoing the seven deadly sins, are clearly intentional and consistently written. You can feel the effort behind making each internal voice distinct.

That said, with multiple identities and backstories unfolding, the pacing can feel fast. There are several layers happening at once, and some story threads could have benefited from more breathing room.

The relationship development is also quick. For readers who prefer a heavy slow burn, tension-filled buildup, or enemies-to-lovers friction, this may feel accelerated. The emotional alignment happens early, and I personally would have liked more resistance and build before that shift.

There are also significant triggers in this book, particularly involving abuse and trauma. Please check content warnings before reading.

This book will resonate most with readers who actively seek out dark romance and are comfortable with intense, obsessive dynamics.

For readers like me who are adjacent to the genre but not fully immersed in it, this may feel bold and ambitious but occasional rushed (please not this is considered from a heavy fantasy reader)

Overall, I can appreciate what the author set out to do, and found myself waiting to see what happened next!

This is a book for those who like to get straight to the point, into the weeds and up to their elbows. If you want "fairytale retold" vibes, I don't think this is it.

The MMC has 7 personalities, and that is a lot of POV to engage with. I like the representation of DID. I wonder if it needed more time... to really understand the nuance of each personality. I wanted more time with them. I wanted more time to understand the nature of DID through them.

The concept is interesting but you don't get alot of time to dig in. Things happen quickly. If you like to pick up a book and just tear through, or if you generally don't enjoy world building and character development, you might enjoy this. If you like stories that develop over time, this might not be your cup of tea. You will have questions.

I found it hard to get into as I kept having to stop and figure out if I had missed something. There aren't a lot of context clues and the concepts are presented very directly.

I feel like this book could be twice as long. There is so much to work with here. If Rebekah ever decided to dig back in and make it twice a long, I would indeed read it and that is why my rating is 3 stars and not 2. I like what was done, I just don't love everything about how it was done.

This book was absolutely amazing! From the very first chapter, it completely pulled me in, and once I started, it was nearly impossible to put down. Every page left me wondering what would happen next, and that constant sense of suspense made the whole reading experience so addictive. The characters were beautifully crafted and felt so real, and their backstories were not only detailed and engaging but also woven seamlessly into the present-day storyline without ever feeling confusing or overwhelming. It was one of those books that stays with you even after you’ve turned the last page—and honestly, I’m already wishing I could read it again for the first time.

Blood on the apple by Rebekah Lynn is a dark romance fiction. It contains violence, morally black characters, and a male main character whose actions are extreme and brutal. It has quite a long trigger list also! So that intrigued me. Anyone who knows me, knows how nothing phases me. (Be sure to check the triggers on the next page).

In short, it's a pitch-black Snow White retelling where the prince is a hitman…and he isn’t alone in his head.

Seven personalities. Seven deadly sins. One woman they refuse to let go. This isn’t a fairytale. It’s a descent.

You jump straight in with the FMC Eira on her way to a halloween party! And by chapter 2 we meet the 7 personalited MMC, definitely more than a few screws loose, but it reflects Dissociative Identity Disorder in an amazing way. It was then i realised this book is probably going to be all sorted of f***ed up and from every POV of the personalities 🤣👀!!
By chapter 4 you've already met 3 of them, and heard 4 of them (Ash, Lucian, Riven and we've heard Corwin.) Is it safe to say at this stage of the story Corwin seems like the 'sensible' version? ☠️🤯 But we know how quick this shit can change. Soo, who knows.

This story, had me hook, link and sinker.  I binged it so quickly without making notes to do a review ☠️👀🤣. It had so many phycotic twists, turns and unexpected things happen, my mind was utterly blown away.

And the way the 2 main character suffered liturally similar lives growing up is insanity. Im contemplating my own sanity after reading this as I was totally on Raze's side and approved of what he wanted to do, when he found out the extent that Vivienne hurt Eira. 🥷👀

Okay, i take it back. I agree with all 7. Thats scary 🤣👀

The ending was so needed, I really hope that Rebekah  decides to do a book 2 of this because it was such an intriguing read and I read it in a day 👀🤣❤️

Review of arc reader

Blood on the Apple by Rebekah Lynn completely pulled me in from the first pages and didn’t let go until the very end. The story is dark, atmospheric, and incredibly gripping, with a sense of tension that builds steadily throughout the book. Every chapter adds another layer to the mystery, making it almost impossible to stop reading.
One of the strongest parts of the novel is the way the author develops both the plot and the characters. The characters feel complex and real, each carrying their own secrets, fears, and motivations. Watching those layers unfold as the story progresses made the emotional moments hit even harder.
The writing style is vivid and immersive, creating a haunting atmosphere that perfectly matches the darker themes of the story. The twists kept me guessing, and just when I thought I had things figured out, the story took another turn.
Overall, this was an intense, beautifully written, and unforgettable read. If you enjoy suspenseful stories with rich characters and a haunting tone, Blood on the Apple is absolutely worth picking up. I’ll definitely be looking for more from this author.

I went into Blood on the Apple intrigued by the premise and the marketing—especially the idea of a dark Snow White retelling—but I have to admit I struggled to see those elements come through in a meaningful way.

Aside from the title and general tone, I didn’t really find clear parallels to Snow White, and the “apple” itself didn’t feel like a tangible or symbolic presence in the story. Because of that, the retelling aspect felt more like a loose aesthetic than something that shaped the narrative.

I also know I’m in the minority here, because I’ve seen a lot of very positive reviews, which honestly left me a bit perplexed by my own experience. While I can understand the appeal for readers who enjoy extremely dark, boundary-pushing romance, this one just didn’t work for me.

The story is told through multiple perspective, including several distinct personalities of the MMC, and with so many voices competing for space, I never felt like I truly got to know any of them in depth. Instead of adding layers, the shifting POVs made the narrative feel fragmented and, at times, overwhelming.

The romance was another challenge for me. The relationship develops under very heavy and traumatic circumstances, and I struggled to connect with or believe in the emotional progression. Many of the conflicts felt like they could have been resolved with clearer communication, which made some of the tension feel more frustrating than compelling.

This book leans heavily into dark and graphic content, and while I understand that’s part of the genre, I personally needed more character development and emotional grounding to stay invested.

Overall, while the concept was certainly bold and unique, the execution didn’t come together in a way that worked for me. I can see why it may resonate with readers looking for a very intense and unconventional dark romance, but it ultimately wasn’t the right fit for my reading preferences.

I LOVED this book!! I LOVED the characters! I LOVED how this book is unlike anything else i have ever read! It dark, each character has their own type of demon. There are all broken and when they find each other, they find things that they never had before, love. Safety, comfort and family.
But also their retribution on those that created their demons to begin with I can’t wait for another book

Review in response to an ARC read.
*Slight spoilers. *

This psychological thriller explores trauma and identity through two main characters who share abusive pasts.
One character has multiple personalities within the same body, each shaped by different experiences.
As the story unfolds, secrets, violence, and murder create tension and unexpected twists. Trigger warnings and a decent of sexual content.

The novel highlights the effects of trauma on the human mind while also showing the connection between the two characters as they confront their pasts.

Despite the dark themes, the story ends quickly but satisfyingly, with the main characters overcoming their struggles. I would have loved more time with each personality but overall was a good read if you like dark novels!

I received this as an ARC copy.

This is defiantly a book to check the tags for so you know what kind of ride you are getting into. AT the same time even though it does touch on some very dark topics The author accept for a few scenes never pushes to a graphic or disturbing emersion level.
Written in a very scene by scene style it makes for a great sneak a chapter in here and there guilty pleasure book.
Interesting DID representation. A bit lighter on the pitch black and snow white references then I was expecting but take that with a grain of salt being from a hardcore dark romance reader with a penance for heavy smut in her books.
I would defiantly say it is worth the read but i recommend Picking up the prequel first. You can read it with out that but it is better with it for sure.

loved this book so much! It sucks one in from page one and leaves you wanting more. I want all my friends to drop everything and read it now!

I like the story line of MMC having DID and the way the stoey tells about the disorder without being to clinical or over your head.

I am not a big romance reader, but there was just enough spice and flavor in the book for me.

I had the best time doing this ARC and hope to work with Rebekah Lynn again in the future.

Wooooo what a RIDE. The story dives right in with the first pages, showing you just how much of a baddie that Eira is going to be. I mean, skin tight dress and blades? What more could a girl need? Absolutely no fear, and she immediately introduces the MMC(s?) in all their glory. I absolutely loved that each chapter told you the name of the viewpoint you were reading, but with the men, it also associated with one of the seven deadly sins. It made it all the more interesting identifying who was Wrath, who was Glutton, and so forth. It truly set up their personalities and expectations of each character as the story progressed, but Rave was by FAR my favorite. Something about those silent, broody types will get me every time. The writing was phenomenal, and the attention to detail made it so easy for readers like me (I visualize as I read) to play the story out in my head. Honestly though, I have read so much pitch black and splatterpunk without a single concern, buuut that catheter scene? Yeah, that got a flinch out of me. I never flinch, so I was beyond excited to get a book that got a physical reaction! The remaining dark scenes were well detailed too, showing the extent of how far each member of the story is willing to. There was just the right amount of smut! No fade to black scenes, which I appreciated, but the book also wasn't overwhelmingly dirty to the point that it took away from the story. Instead, each scene was sprinkled in just the right place that provided character growth while still giving us that spice we so desire! Now, I have zero triggers while reading, but I can say that this book is not for the faint of heart. The author does well in listing the triggers, but she also takes it a step farther and specifically clarifies before certain scenes what is about to play out. If those specific triggers (more than just torture and murder) will affect you, these parts CAN be skipped. While they provide backstory and logic for each character, scenes involving childhood do not directly have to be read and can instead be glossed over while still getting the gist. Overall, this was incredibly well written and honestly I would read a second book without question about Eira and her... Men? This was a fun ride from start to finish, and it was just a unique take on the "crazy" males that are so often depicted.

ARC REVIEW | SPOILER ALERT

To start, I want to mention that I loved how the prequel, The Monster Within, bled directly into the beginning of this book. Most prequels are set far back enough that by the time you start the actual book, a lot of time has passed. I loved the direct flow there.

Our MMC, Noct, was a character that I found myself enchanted with. DID has always been an interesting idea to me – considering how much I love psychology – and this book did a great job of representing what that really is. Something that a lot of people assume when it comes to mental disorders is that the person who has them is “evil“. Someone looking at a character like our MMC might write him off as such considering the things he’s done.

What I liked about this book was that the author took time to explain why his personas were created. It makes the disorder feel a lot more human. Looking past what’s on the surface to really see the reasons for why DID is created. Another thing I will mention on this topic is that when our FMC, Eira, finally gets to meet Noct, it’s so precious. She gets to see firsthand that he was created by monsters.

All that being said, I found each different personality very intriguing (especially how they all had a cute nicknames for her)… But Raze is definitely my favorite. The torture scenes that Raze causes are so vividly bone chilling that I had goosebumps on my arms!

While I did have a lot of positive things to say about this novel, there were some things that I found to be a bit of a reach. In the beginning, Eira is far too comfortable with the idea that Noct is kidnapping her, considering her past. Knowing that she comes from an abusive household, there’s no way that someone like that would let that happen so easily. on top of that, I felt like she was giving off a weird vibe the whole book. Too comfortable. Also, the plot of the book (and killing both Eira and Noct’s families) felt off. Knowing that these two moments come as a climax and redemption for both characters should have felt a lot more special than it did. The moments felt too underwhelming for the severity of what was going on.

Taking all of this into account, I believe that this was a well done book. While yes, it’s hot and heavy, it also has lots of serious topics that I found interesting to read about.

I received an Advanced Reader Copy of this book from the author, but this review reflects my honest opinion.

Before getting into the review itself, I definitely recommend reading the prequel, The Monster Within, before starting this book. It provides important background information, and I think I would have been much more confused without it.

Overall, I found this book intriguing. I had never read a story that centers around DID before, so I was really interested in diving into that aspect of the story. I especially enjoyed the MMC and his different personalities — that part of the book kept me engaged and curious about what would happen next.

However, I struggled with the FMC. Her actions and emotions didn’t always feel consistent throughout the story. She is described as a strong character, but her behavior often didn’t reflect that strength. At times, her reactions didn’t seem to match her previous actions or feelings, which made her difficult to connect with. Honestly, if the author later revealed that the FMC also has DID, I would completely believe it based on how her character is written.

The book is described as a dark Snow White retelling, but I personally wouldn’t classify it that way. There are small references — the seven personalities and the evil stepmother — but it doesn’t really feel like a retelling. It also doesn’t have a fantasy element, which is something I usually expect from a story described that way.

The pacing is also very fast. Major events happen quickly, and the characters’ feelings develop almost instantly, which didn’t feel very realistic to me. I also felt like the story lacked a strong climax. What seemed like it should have been the biggest moment in the book happened around the 80% mark, and I expected more to follow, but the story wrapped up sooner than I anticipated.

The author has mentioned that she plans to explore each of the MMC’s personalities in more depth in future books. That’s something I would definitely be interested in reading, especially since I feel like this book only scratched the surface of that concept.

I came in to Blood On The Apple with the awareness this was going to be a unique twist on Snow White and the Seven Dwarves. Trust me it did not at all disappoint. Yes it has a cottage that Snow (Eira) escapes to, yes it has a wicked step mother (Vivienne), a loss of a father, and seven men.

But... that being said... the seven men are not as you would expect. They are not dwarves, nor are they separate individuals. Instead the Seven are packed into a sinfully delicious man that has DID (multiple personality disorder in easier terms) ... and each one are their own personal embodiment of the Seven Deadly Sins. Needless to say when that awareness hit me the way I screamed in smothered delight was enough to blow my mind.

I always have had a weakness and fascination for interpretative takes on the Seven Deadly Sins and the Four Horsemen so of course Blood on the Apple was right up my alley.

Add to this that both Eira and Noct have dealt with assault and trauma and thus rightfully seek revenge and redemption and you have yourself one amazing story.

That being said for some readers Blood on the Apple will be healing... for some readers it can be triggering so I honestly plead and beg before you read to take the Trigger Warnings seriously. If you can look past scenes that can trigger and upset and traumatize then carry on. This is a book that is more than just your dark fairytale retelling twist, it is more then an acknowledgement of a man that struggles with a disorder and trauma, it is more than just a woman that has overcome so much and still will make the world burn for who she loves.

Yes Noct and his personalities are possessive and hit right on the stalker tropes but they are so much more. I loved them all but Noct and Raze will hold a special place in my dark reader heart. For those that have had similar experiences in life the recognition, the revenge, and the redemption is healing. Blood on the Apple will linger in my soul and at some point it will be on my physical shelf. So yes if you can overcome the triggers please take up Blood on the Apple. It is a story you won't forget. Until next time, Happy Reading!

Blood on the Apple is a dark romance retelling of Snow White, but instead of seven dwarves, we’re given a predator with seven distinct personalities built around the seven deadly sins.

Honestly, dark romance isn’t typically my genre. As a trauma therapist, I see enough of the hard realities of humanity in real life, and too often these books rely on shock value instead of substance. I was intrigued by the DID twist and the author was building an ARC team… so why not give it a try?

Blood on the Apple surprised me in the best way, because it brings depth, intention, and real emotional weight to the darkness. Eira is being hunted by her stepmother, who has been tormenting her since her father’s mysterious death, and by a new predator who has decided she was his… theirs?

The reader in me loved this story. It was captivating, engaging, and kept me turning pages to see what would come next.

The therapist in me was thrilled with the care the author took in portraying DID and mental health. A lot of times when DID is used in fiction, especially in darker material like this, systems are portrayed as monsters. Rebekah Lynn gives us the “monster” up front, but then slowly helps us see the making of that monster in a way that feels organic and layered. You start to question who the real monster is in this story.

Bottom line: this book dug its claws into my heart and refused to let go. If you check it out, which I absolutely recommend, please review the tropes and trigger warnings and read with care. Your mental health matters.

Release Date: March 13, 2026

Thank you to the author for trusting me as part of the early sensitive reader team and for allowing me to read this story ahead of the ARC group. It was an honor to offer a therapist lens on the DID and mental health elements.

ARC REVIEW:

I think I have officially decided that I am a silent brooding touch her and die girly through and through. Because you put a man like Raze in my line of sight and I’m pretty sure I can have a complete O and still be left wanting more without a single word.

This book was a roller coaster of a ride. It’s inspiration being Snow White and the 7 dwarves but turn the 7 dwarves into 7 personalities in one man that has DIDs, each personality representing 7 deadly sins, and you have this book. I loved the little tie ins of the OG Snow White, subtle but good.

I absolutely LOVE that the author put warnings before really dark sections of the book. Giving readers an important warning because mental health is so important and this author very clearly takes that seriously.

There was one section in the book where, you know that feeling when you want to vomit, your mouth produces way more saliva, becomes almost salty in a way, the gag is in the bottom of your gut wanting to work its way out. But you know if you let it happen you will puke so you just smack your lips a little until the feeling finishes. Ya that’s what got me in the book. One chapter was so visually well written I literally almost puked.

My ONLY complaint and honestly this is just a me thing, is that each personality had these super hot names for her that made me swoon, but she would just call them hot stuff. Like, bro, you’re making my clit pulse but then you call him hot stuff.

Spice level is great
Book read is great!
Highly recommend!

I will always show up for a dark fairytale retelling, and while this leans more toward a reimagining, I was completely here for it.

This is a psychological romance driven by obsession, trauma, and emotionally complex characters. The MMC’s fixation is immediate and intense, which makes sense given his DID and alters, and Eira’s own darkness adds layers to their connection, even if it feels unsteady at times. Watching her begin to change him was one of my favorite parts.

That said, I wanted more from the relationship. It leans into instalust on both sides, and while his obsession felt believable, I struggled to see why Eira was drawn to him beyond the sense of protection. A bit more buildup and emotional depth would have helped.

The writing flows well, though some dialogue felt slightly stiff, probably intentional given the multiple personalities, but occasionally a line stood out as off to me. I also would have loved more vivid detail, especially in the darker moments and hit work scenes. Torture and violence are hinted at, but I wanted them rendered more viscerally to fully feel the tension and danger.

The Snow White inspiration was a standout. The twist of the seven dwarfs as alters within the MMC’s DID was creative and heartbreaking, and the backstory definitely earns the mid-chapter content warning—so be mindful of triggers.
It’s a quick, engaging read, though it may feel fast if you prefer slower development. Overall, I really enjoyed this. I just wanted more, which says a lot. Don’t skip the prequel!

Thank you to the author for this ARC opportunity!

Blood on the Apple by. Rebekah Lynn

*Dark and twisted romance

*Raw, uncut and full of personalities

*full of revenge, and retribution

*heavy on the trigger warnings ⚠️

*duel trauma healing

*obsessive MMC(s)

Seven deadly sins all wrapped up into one handsomely built package. Forged from the traumas of his past.  Vex, Noct, Lucian, Corwin, Riven, Raze and Ash have finally met the women they are willing to protect more than themselves.

Eira is a strong FMC, a girl who can hold her own, with daggers in her bossum at the ready. She is done running and ready to get revenge on the one who abused her for years and stole her childhood.

This story was such a dark and twisted ride from the first chapter. Absolutely loved the concept of multiple personalities. Our MMC has a fast paced obsession, while our FMC slowly warms up to him. Once they all finally click together its like a perfect storm. Everyone has thier own moment in the spotlight. This was a very unique story and I really enjoyed the overall adventure with the well deserved vengeance.

I was HOOKED from page 1! This book is incredible! I wish I could erase it from my brain and read it for the first time again! I cannot recommend it enough! And it’s available 13/3 ‼️make sure to check your TW’s!

I love the plot, I love the use of the 7 deadly sins, I love the representation of DID and it was done so well, and so interestingly, I love the characters and I love their chemistry.

Eira, what a Queen (by name & character) she was brilliant! The awful things she went through, but she didn’t let them ruin her, she became a warrior, a nightmare, and I love that for her! And boy, did the nightmare get her revenge!

Amara, what a best friend to have! She is ride or die and she truly cared about Eira and what was best for her, she believed her when no one else did.

Noct (the host) and his personalities, I loved them all for different reasons, and the different types of want and need they had for Eira, I also loved how utterly protective they were of Noct and how vulnerable he was, and he didn’t hide it from Eira.

What an ending to the story, it was perfect! It was torture, it was revenge and it was for love. And now I’m gutted it’s over 💔

Blood on the Apple by Rebekah Lynn

First, thank you Rebekah for the ARC.

I had no idea I needed a dark fantasy romance (more dark romance than fantasy, just to clarify) retelling of Snow White until I went in blind and read Blood on the Apple.

The book warns readers about some intense scenes. I recommend it to those familiar with dark romance but strongly advise reading the content and trigger warnings, especially if you’re new to the genre. If you’re up for it and don’t want to, feel free to go in blind – it’s your choice.

I genuinely enjoyed this book. I couldn’t relate to the MCs and FMC, but I definitely empathised with their stories, especially the MCs and how the seven different personalities came to be. I love how they were written and the accuracy of the portrayal of the disorder (the meaning, not the people living with DID). I shed tears during each moment of their story. I don’t cry easily when it comes to books, so this is a testament to the emotional impact of the story.

I understand that many people might assume this is a fairy tale book, but it’s far from it.

I received this book as an ARC.

Top Notes:
- Very very dark. Like vanta black dark.
- well written and researched.
- PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CHECK YOUR TRIGGERS

This dark retelling of Snow White is a story of two souls coming together for revenge, possession, healing, and resolving trauma with a delicious sprinkle of unhinged romance.

There is a lot of chemistry between Eira and Noct (and his system). I love that each member of the system has a unique set of tells. I love that Rebekah poured herself into writing Noct to be representative and not just for show. Her dedication to representing mental illness properly warms my heart.

I also love how Eira does her best to understand without assuming. She asks if she can ask questions, and she tries to understand him on a deeper level. In a lot of ways, Noct is trying to understand Eira, too.

When we look at spice, I'd call it a level 3.5. It's there, but it's fairly organic and adds to the story.

A dark Snow White retelling, one body and 7 personalities that represent the seven dwarves and the 7 sins. Thank you Rebekah for a free digital copy of this amazing tale of healing and revenge, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

I loved this tale of healing, acceptance, and revenge. A boy tortured so much his mind fractures to protect himself, but from it we get 6 deliciously unhinged men and one sweet kind soul with the most perfectly written personalities so unique to each of them. Rebekah was amazing at making all the men so unique and when they changed without them discussing it before hand you knew who it was because she pegged their individual mannerisms so perfectly. Eira was so strong even with the attempts to break her soul, I love her and how she handles everything that is thrown at her. She is very calculating and because of her trauma is the only person able to understand and handle the brothers.

10/10 recommend

I received an ARC copy of this book for an honest review. Thanks so much for the opportunity.

I absolutely loved this book! What really sets it apart is how the author takes the time to deeply explore the characters' issues, making their growth feel earned and authentic.
The female main character is an absolute force—I loved her energy, her spice, and her no-nonsense attitude. Watching her take back her life was incredibly satisfying. On the other side, the MMC is definitely dark, bringing his own intense story to the table. You really get to know all facets of him, which makes the journey so much deeper.
The way the story blends turbulence, questions, and a blooming romance is fantastic. But fair warning: do not think for a second that this is just a simple happily ever after! It’s intense.
Pro Tip: Definitely read the prequel, The Monster Within, first to get the full experience. I am eagerly waiting for the next books in the series to see where this journey goes!
