Storybook heroes do not exist. Just because a mysterious masked man stopped a deadly tornado, saving her while ignoring silly details like gravity, doesn't mean the supernatural occurred. Everleigh Lacey must instead focus on stopping powerful CEO Alexander Stone from taking over her company. The businessman infiltrates her life, upending her days with stolen kisses and her nights with romance under the stars. Something about him seems familiar, yet she won't accept his authoritative tactics − or his effect on her.
Alexander never meant to become a hero. The leader of the enchanters, he and his people live in harmonious obscurity next to ordinary humans. He must hide his fantastic powers, yet he can't ignore the pleas for help, not even when one exposes his secret to millions. The world knows of his existence, but not his identity − yet. At the same time, he must save a floundering company and its delectable owner, a woman who blazes into his thoughts. When Everleigh inadvertently discovers the true hero, he has no choice but to take control of the situation…
Alexander and Everleigh... Their physical chemistry is undeniable, but Everleigh resists falling for the mysterious Alexander Stone. Who is Alexander Stone? Actually, what is the charismatic, gorgeous billionaire? Intriguing characters, impossible feats and a love too strong to ignore make The Secret Encounters a series a must read. Enjoy!
Enchanted Hero is a fun and exciting first episode in The Secret Enchanters series! I really like the two main characters and the storyline is so engaging I did not want to put it down for any reason. I am planning to get book 2 ASAP and I highly recommend this one, enjoy!
The Incantare or Enchanters—4 stars. This storyline was a lot of fun to read as the head of the Incantare gets his disguised self constantly in the News as he tries to save those in trouble. Unfortunately, the government doesn’t just want to be grateful for his timely help in rescuing people from dangerous situations, they also want to know who the “hero” is so they can examine him and his special powers. Although the overall story and plot was exciting to read, there were many steamy parts and a sex scene, which I felt took away from the creativity of the magic system and world building. Also, Alexander is pretty domineering and doesn’t communicate well; I’m surprised Everleigh didn’t try to punch him once or twice.
Enchanted Hero is a light, engaging fantasy that blends magic with a sense of adventure and discovery.
The story has a very accessible feel—it’s easy to get into, with a fast-moving plot and a world that doesn’t feel overly complicated. The magical elements are woven in a way that keeps things interesting without becoming overwhelming.
What stands out most is the sense of growth and self-discovery. The journey feels personal as much as it is adventurous, and that balance makes the story enjoyable.
It leans more toward a lighter fantasy tone rather than something dark or intense, which makes it a great, easy read when you want something fun and magical.
This definitely had some nail biting moments. Will he be discovered or won’t he? Which of course leads me at least to the question of why aren’t you using your considerable resources to figure out how to more easily disable or confuse phones and surveillance equipment if you insist on the heroics. And of course, falling for your destiny, which is what soul mates are called here.
