What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. And deadlier. And more effed up.
I thought I knew what happened the night of my graduation. Turns out I was wrong. The truth is even uglier—and the puppet masters behind it all? Still plucking our strings.
Breaking the alphas' chains should be simple now. I'm the key.
Here's the the path to freedom is bloodier than I imagined. And blood? Has a tendency to make things messy.
If they thought they were dealing with the same girl who tucked tail and ran five years ago, they're adorably mistaken. Life in the woods didn't just change me... it turned me into a monster. It's an eat-or-be-eaten world out there. Maybe I should thank everyone for the valuable lesson.
You didn't want me to be an omega? Fine. You got your wish.
The woman I am now doesn't need warmth or comfort or any of those soft omega things. She doesn't hesitate when knife meets bone and won't stop until you take your last breath.
Dr. Montgomery thinks he has me where he wants me—collared, leashed, his perfect pet. He thinks he can control me, contain me, and parade me around like property.
But leashes fail. Collars slip. And monsters? We bite.
Everyone wants something from me. Whitney wants her hands around my throat. Dr. Montgomery wants his test subject compliant. The alphas want to wrap me in cotton and hide me from the world. And their fathers want me... out of the picture entirely.
What do I want? I'm not sure anymore.
But I'd rather die than let anyone own me. Good thing I'm willing to play the long game.
Sometimes to catch a predator, you have to be what they can't resist. Let them think they've won so they get comfortable. Let them believe the cage they built for you keeps them safe.
Funny thing about cages... I've learned to pick locks. All kinds.
Second chances? Not really my style. If you're on my list, you're running out of time. You just don't know it yet.
And if the cost of revenge is me?
Then so be it.
Sweet Torment is Book Two in the Bittersweet Bonds Trilogy.
just finished reading this and it was good for the first 70%. I thoroughly enjoyed the first book and counted down the days until this book came out. I wasn't really a fan how much Bianca changed from book one to book 2. and her feelings for the alphas. she tried so hard to hate them and then bonded them but then was second guessing them one second and wanting away from them then loving on them and being fine again. it was confusing. especially with their trauma, I thought they deserved her unwavering devotion the whole time. not taking her anger out on the softest alpha of the group. kinda shady and narcissistic. she also sorta showed a bit of that behavior in book one where she made Owen and Tristan fight over who got her first even though it was mentioned that Whitney also did that to them. forced them to fight each other. Bianca is supposed to be better than Whitney but she does stuff thats very similar. the cliff on this book was really good though! im still going to read the third book because I need to know how it ends. I just hope Bianca gets her shit together for book 3 and we get to see her help her alphas heal more. they definitely deserve it. I also hope they get their shit together and help out more with getting out from under their father's thumbs and Dr Montgomery. they had 5 years to get out or figure out a way to *dispose* of them when they had slightly more freedom than they do now.
spice was definitely spicing in this book! loved it. the writing itself was really good too! can't wait for book 3.

If you thought book one ruined you, Sweet Torment will shatter you.
I went into this book with sky high expectations after the first installment, and it delivered everything I crave in a dark, emotional series: betrayal, heartbreak, obsession, and just enough fragile hope to keep you hooked. Weston doesn’t just continue the story she drags you deeper into the wreckage of love and survival.
Let’s talk Bianca. She’s not the same girl we met in book one and that’s both the beauty and the heartbreak of this sequel. She’s fierce, wounded, and constantly torn between love and fear. Her emotions are chaos: one moment she’s fighting the bond, the next she’s lost in it. It’s messy, confusing, and achingly human.
And then there are the alphas: Weller, Tristan, Freddie, and Owen. Each one carries their own scars, their own brand of devotion, and watching Bianca push and pull against them nearly broke me. Weller’s quiet intensity, Tristan’s sharp edges, Freddie’s warmth, Owen’s steadiness they’ve all bled for her in their own way. They deserved her loyalty, and when she faltered, it hurt. Deeply. But that’s what makes it real raw, imperfect, and devastatingly emotional.
The tension in this book never lets up. I spent most of it on edge anxious, hopeful, heart in my throat waiting for something to go right. Every twist tightened the grip, every heartbreak made me ache more. Weston is ruthless in the best way, and I loved every agonizing minute of it.
By the end, I was wrecked breathless, furious, and desperate for book three. There are people who need to fall, debts that need to be paid, and a storm still brewing that promises total destruction.
Dark. Depraved. Mesmerizing. Sweet Torment is exactly what the title promises a devastatingly addictive ride that tests love, loyalty, and the limits of forgiveness. Prepare to have your heart shattered and your soul screaming for more.
📌 100% voluntary and uncompensated. Just one emotionally wrecked reader.
Ok so I liked this, I liked it a lot. Buuut unlike the first book it didn’t quite hit that 5 star mark for me. There was a ton of tension both good and bad and I spent the first 60 percent of the book rigid hoping for a win as everything went horribly wrong. I think this book just missed the mark with the line between letting the heroes win something and keeping the tension going. The tiny wins that happened are still colored by villain wins, the heroes haven’t truly won yet at all. Bianca is struggling with all of the expectations placed on her and her bonds to her pack. Montgomery still keeps winning and the pack dads are still ridiculously evil and in this book their hatred seems nonsensical. I’m still completely invested, Bianca is a strong character I love rooting for and we get some answers and more questions. The cliffhanger isn’t as bad as the last one but it hints at some further insanity. Can’t wait to see how book 3 goes!

I finished this book in one day because I have been fiending for this book since the ending of the last one and lemme tell you IT DID NOT DISAPPOINT . Weller , Tristian , Freddie , & Owen are BAE ASFFFFFF 🥵🥵🥵 the twists and malice of Dr Wellington boils my blood , I cannot STAND him and I hope he gets what he deserves. Bianca is a savage and I AM LIVING FOR ITTTTT , she ain’t taking shit and will fight for her men to the fuckin death as do they for her . I’m dying to know the history between her mother and Mr Wellington because he can pretend all he wants but he has fucked with Bianca’s life and body too damned much and I wanna get to the bottom of his obsession with her , the men’s fathers are ruthless and I cannot stand them , they are disgusting 🤮 I’m loving Bianca’s villain arc because she will burn this whole shit down for hers and with the mate bonds locked in she’s bout to fuck shit upppppppp and I want it ALLLLLL ! 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 and dying for the third book 🥵

Well I wasnt expecting that plot twist at the end!
This book started with an omegaverse meets a messed up hunger games scenario and I am glad that Bianca prevailed!
Was so glad that Whitney got what was coming to her because I started to panic there for a moment! Although, it seems she still isnt done with her twisted games even from the grave because the Alpha's father are vile human beings.
Just when you think that Bianca and her men are finally free, they turn around and enter into another restricted cage with rules and protocols.
I feel for Bianca, she is trying to be strong but seems whatever she does she is always one step behind Dr Montgomery and now with the revelation on his mother looking exactly like her...it can only mean the absolute worse and more trauma is yet to come.
I hope this group get their revenge and live HEA but sadly I will have to wait until next year to find out now 😫

My jaw is on the dang floor right now. That ending?! Gah! I KNEWWWW something fishy was happening 👀
This is a great addition to the series! What happens when you finally get what you wanted… but it comes at an always changing price?
Bianca is still such a great character. Her trust is worn thin, rightfully so, but she’s trying to let those around her in. I think she’s finally learning to make better choices or to at least THINK before acting. Shes been wearing her trauma and heartbreak like an armor and I think she’s ready to truly heal.
The guys, bless them, are amazing. Nurturing, sweet and still a little leery of our girls stabby ways (as they should be, tbh) they also have a lot of healing to do and I think Bianca is really going to unknowingly help. They all deserve peace. 🥹
I’m so excited for book three already. Thank you SO SO much Livi for the arc! 🩷🩷
This was such a great read, carrying straight on from book one, the action never stopped. I thought the characters were going to get some kind of happy for now storyline but they don’t even get that. It is brutal and when Bianca is thrown into even more danger, her alphas don’t hesitate. I loved that Bianca is such a strong, borderline feral omega, her actions are perfect with certain people getting exactly what they deserve. The guys are so touch starved that they can’t be away from her. Her need for space and the dinner party stick out, feelings from either side. There are so many secrets and Bianca and her men are trapped while trying to find out the answers, I don’t know who to trust anymore, I’m looking at you Bianca’s mum! Plus the kitchen scene, omg Freddie! Can I keep him? Please 🙏 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Sweet Torment is the second book in the Bittersweet Bonds series. Please review trigger warnings prior to reading as this is a dark, why choose, omegaverse.
This book picks up right where book one’s cliffhanger left off- Bianca and her men are still going through the wringer. Really enjoyed Bianca’s internal dialogue as she works through and processes the different situations she’s a part of. As the characters and their relationships continued to develop with outside forces pushing in, the group is having to navigate dealing with both external threats and feelings/emotions that still aren’t fully resolved and addressed from the past.
Can’t wait for the next book!
***I received this book as an ARC and am leaving a voluntary review- thank you to the author!
I didn’t know what to expect in the follow up to the first book but this was definitely more than I thought.
I mean the crap that Dr. Montgomery puts her through is absolutely ridiculous & I dislike that man. But Whitney….dislike her even more. She definitely got what she deserved.
I felt like I wanted more answers to what these greedy me are after but every time something new pops up m, I just get more frustrated.
I just wish Bianca & her mates could have their happy ending & not have to deal with their fathers anymore.
Still loved it & it left me anxious & with more questions than I need answers to. But I am so looking forward to the next book!
thank you Livi for the ARC copy of sweet Torment! book two dove right into where book 1 left us! there so many twists and turns, some good, some just pulked in my heartstrings... the spice in this book really picked up and we do get to see Bianca with her alphas more often than not which I loved! all of the plot twists made this book both fun and frustrating but in a good way? ilikr to torture myself with this emotional books that make my head and heart spin! I just can't wait for book 3 to see how things will wrap up, and I can't wait for certain people to meet their bitter ends! (insert evil laugh here) 😈
overall: 4/5 🌟 spice: 3.5/5 🌶

I didn't enjoy the book, and I stopped reading at about 60%.
Might contain spoilers......
I hate "flip switch" personality changes. There were also too many big things that were resolved in an easy manner - ie. No more contracts for the men.... or how easy it was for them to break into the compound (really, they were trapped for 5 years and suddenly everything is so easy ans doable). They are grown men and being upset with their fathers doesn't make sense in alpha hierarchy because the strongest wins and these men were afraid of their fathers....idk it just didn't make sense to me so dnf
I've been waiting to read the next book in this series and it did not disappoint. I am now waiting anxiously for the conclusion. Bianca, Freddie, Weller, Tristan and Owen have been through the ringer and the punches keep coming. It is time for some payback and for them to take back their power. The spice is spicing, and there is certainly no shortage of action. I do wish there was a bit more of Megan and Ezra (the giver). There is plenty of wonderful banter between characters.
My mind is just blown right now. Idk what to think about the new secrets that has been revealed in this book with Bianca. The men fathers are a piece of you know what like I can’t wait until they get a plan together and get rid of them. Also ever since the first book I feel like Bianca’s mom knows what’s going on because the trip she took her on after Bianca’s graduation when her men where bonded and her mom had her in that town it’s all so convenient. Maybe the mom made a deal with the doctor to keep a secret idk but I can’t wait to find out.
I really enjoyed reading this book. There was so much tension throughout the book and it kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. The suspense and story building was really well done, I could not put the book down and finished it all in one sitting. I’m loving the series so far, it’s a fresh take on the omegaverse world with a story that feels really unique. I can’t wait for the next book!
This mind blowing second book in the series was just as compelling as the first book. I couldn’t read this book fast enough given how the first book was so captivating. I had to know what would happen next. Dark, depraved, mesmerizing and unputdownable, this book ran the gamut of emotions from the beginning. I cannot wait to read the rest of their story and for their family to get what’s coming - rightfully so, in my opinion. Great story.
4.5 🌟Book two started pretty much right where book one left off… and man these poor characters just can’t catch a break! I did feel like they got their happy for right now but there are still big moves to be made regarding the boys’ psycho dads and dr Montgomery.. the ending leaves more questions than answers. I did enjoy book one more than book two but I am very interested to see where book three ends up! These books pack a lot in for being smaller reads.
Action packed from start to finish and new twists and turns that I was not expecting! I was thinking this was going to be a duet so the cliffhanger and the knowledge I have to wait for June for the rest was brutal.
The romance as spicy and the relationships are so special. I love a friends to lovers with challenges that keep them apart. This story was especially heartbreaking with all the people working against them. Highly recommend this series.
This whole series seems like the author did not plan it out from the beginning. I don’t like reading book one and it ending on a cliffhanger and the author leading readers to believe it will be resolved in book 2. This book had so many predictable things that it seems like all fluff so they can have a book 3. The first book was definitely interesting and I was excited for this one but this book just fell so flat.
Book 2 picked up where 1 left off and it was full throttle back in the story. I loved the revenge and the way the FMC and MMCs were finally reunited. I’m so curious about the connection with the doctor and can’t wait for the MMCs fathers to get what they deserve.
This series has me in a chokehold. I’m invested. I need more. Bianca and her men are fighting non-stop for their freedom and just when you think they might get it, BAM another obstacle. I flew through this just as desperate for a happy ending as these characters. My mind is blown. I’m sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for book 3.
I honestly thought I wouldn’t be broken more than book 1. Well, I was wrong. I can’t believe I have to wait for book 3. I really hope Bianca and the guys can attempt to heal. Bianca is an absolute baddie and I love it. She is so strong. I absolutely hate the guys fathers and the Dr. Cannot wait for the third book 🙏
This book made me angry. Not that I didn’t like the book but the Dr. just gives me the heeby jeebies. And the crap he does to the MFC. I want to reach through the book and shake him and ask what the hell is wrong with him. I started this book in the evening and finishing in the early morning. I couldn’t put it down.
Oooookay. We quickly pick up where book 1 left off. It hits the ground running right off the bat and we see Bianca using her killer skills (hehe) when she gets attacked.
She and the guys are now constantly in a battle against the fathers who have some seriously messed up agenda. There's also a twist that starts to unravel at the end...so. much. drama.
Holy Toledo!!! This book is a nonstop rollercoaster of heat, angst, intrigue and mean girls (you will be oh, so happy in chapter 7!!). There is darkness, despicableness and you will be so invested in the story!!
I really enjoyed this book! I thought the pace was great, spice was spicing and it had a plot twist i didnt see coming! I wish there was a refresh of what the characters looked like bc I forgot 😬 but it was a fun read! Im interested to see what happens in book 3!
I could not put this book down! I have been waiting for it and it was awesome! I love the lead fm character and how she got her alphas out of trouble when they couldn’t. I can’t wait for the next book!
This is the second of three books, picking up right where the first book left off, B and her boys definitely go through the wringer, emotionally and physically. I can’t wait to see how it all comes together when the 3rd book comes out. Really glad I picked up the first book on a whim. Love a good omegaverse
I feel like Bianca should have stayed in the forest. I know her alphas were in a desperate situation needing rescue, but she doesn't seem all that pleased to be bonded to them. Maybe it's all the trauma, but it made this book kind of weird to read.
