Juliet and Jasper… omg I hate them this book

Usually I love all these books. They are depraved, taboo, and amazing. This book was really sweet because I loved seeing Evan get his happily ever after. He’s my favorite of all the men. But the bullying from Juliet had little to no consequences which ruined the book.

Juliet was a bully right off the bat and so was Jasper. His first time meeting Nelly and he was screaming about her. Then Juliet makes fun of Nelly’s background, effectively shaming Nelly for being poor and struggling through life. And Jasper seemed very proud of her for being a bully. (It was SUPER satisfying to see Evan openly talk about cutting out Jasper’s tongue though. And I’m so happy Max and Tori were kind to Nelly! I love them.)

At the end of the book, the last interaction you see with Nelly and the family is a negative one. Everyone basically takes turns punishing her.

Group punishment isn’t unusual for this series (it’s actually a plus most times), but what makes THIS punishment so bad is that you never actually get to see Nelly fully loved and accepted by the entire family for long, thanks to Juliet and Jasper. She is basically an outsider. So when she’s punished by the family, it feels like it’s coming from a place of hatred, not love. Juliet and Jasper also seem to enjoy every time Nelly is hurting. (After they get their turns hurting her they enjoy it less but still) I never hated them before but now I do.

Then afterwards it’s briefly mentioned how they don’t hate her but it’s never actually shown. Jasper and Juliet tell her they forgive her but it’s extremely brief. There’s no “aftercare” so to speak that actually shows Nelly being loved and accepted by Juliet and Jasper in the end.

I get that Nelly was trying to expose them, but you would think Juliet of all people would be more understanding of how scary and jarring this new world is. She was the most resistant of all the girls in her book. And Jasper is supposed to be the “adult” figure so it makes it feel extra cruel when he encourages or ignores Juliet’s bullying.

The only reason I can’t give this 1 star is because I really like the world the author has built. Nelly and Evan are very adorable together. But usually the books feel very welcoming. You get to watch someone join a loving family for the better. I just read someone get bullied and outcasted with no real touching family moment at the end to tie it together. Nelly really thought she was helping the girls. Arguably she was the most selfless Little for putting herself at risk to try to save girls when she thought were in trouble. Yet her book felt the most lonely and unloved.

Props to Tori, Max, and Izzy for being warm and accepting. They defend her against Jasper and Juliet’s bullying a few times. It still sucks that there had to be a book where one girl doesn’t truly get her “found family” though. That’s always been this series biggest lovable point for me.

Another great book in this series. Natalie and Evander had such a unique and fun dynamic even though Natalie fought tooth a nail to try and get out of it. Their story was pretty different from the other couples as Natalie legitimately meant them all harm when she came to the island, but seeing her face the music between her Daddy’s punishments and all the others on the island was beautiful. Watching her become Evander’s little girl was spicy.

Natalie Bauer knows a big story when she sees one. Trouble is if she gets caught. Making her way to the island is too easy and she ends up with a red bottom. Here the name and voice of Evander is going to get her punished. Someone is snooping around. Evander knows exactly who and he plans to bring her to the island as his little. But Nat isn’t easy to handle. His kitten has claws. He will make sure that she learns to listen to her Daddy.

Natalie doesn’t really know what she is in for. When she is rescued by Lucas and then her Daddy Evander picks her up, she is so confused and a bit hurt. She experiences the same as the other women. She and Juliet are an equal in their fighting. Jasper is concerned about her being a reporter and makes it clear. Evander loves her spirit but at times she does push him too far. We learn about the scar on his face and as well as what a certain photo means. Natalie does learn about how Juju, Izzy, and Tori came to the island. She only has a problem with writing bug. Let’s just say she ends up with a very sore bottom and a loving family. Our next story is about Doctor D aka Donovan and his nurse Camilla. I have to say, it about time. Poor Camilla has been pining for that man and he sticks to his rules.

Another wonderful addition to the series, I guarantee that you will be captivated
Evander is a busy he is concerned with the security of the island and is always aware of the individuals that are staying there to ensure they are not bothering other visitors or possibly visiting for other reasons other than a holiday and this seems to be the case with Natalie.
Natalie has followed two of the individuals she met in New York after snooping to discover as much as she possibly could and with her contacts as a reporter this was not too difficult. She then got on a boat that was visiting the island and Lucas who was on the supply boat had spotted her and has now reported that she has run.
Evander is searching for the runaway reporter currently on the island and is chasing her through the woods and punishes her severely for arriving on the island without permission. Lucas is at the house and she has to respond to him as Papa as he has looked after Evander since he was younger.
I know that you will be captivated by this read and I will not spoil the read for other but the Island is always a interesting read and this time is no different.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

I thought this series is amazing before but with each new book I fall more deeply down the rabbit hole with this hot men and their feisty women! As we continue to enjoy this series I love the more mystery the island has plus crazy ways they’re go get what they want. I love seeing a little bit about the guys on the boat alongside the papa character is a new addition I very much appreciate enjoy! Natty aka kitten brings a lot to the table I wouldn’t want get on her bed side let alone the dangerous positive delicious guy that chosen her! I love all the things have in common and getting to know his character more in depth it was definitely worth the wait! I couldn’t put this book down was always on the edge to see what kitten would come up with next she’s a very determined woman who is definitely way over her head but I love the outcome. Her personality totally reminds of myself when I think about pushing buttons no matter how many warnings I get! This is very intoxicating thriller in my opinion that keep you wanting more with lots sassy content, steamy moments, laughter, page turner, and if I dare say surprisingly different sides of what we are used to of mr beast in my opinion! I can’t wait for the next book I wished it came out sooner!

This story is slightly different than the others in the series in that Evander didn't steal or coerce Natasha to the island, but instead she had the idea to come to the island herself, investigating missing girls. She was hoping this story would be her big break. When Evander, head of island security, discovered her snooping he just helped ease her way to the island. Little did she know what she was getting into. As much as Evander is a daddy, he's also a sadist. And as much as Natasha insists she's no little, she soon grows to love all the caring he gives (and those spanks as well). Those spicy scene are very much enjoyed, even when I was questioning my sanity and just why I loved them so much. I also found it interesting that Evander felt a bit of a misfit among the others, being a self made man versus having grown up in their ultra rich world. And Natasha, as much as she constantly protests, is eager to jump in and defend him. I also loved how her writing was an important part of herself. Loved the surprise he give her and their HEA.

Daddy dangerous book 4 (ARC)

This was another hit that was a bit darker and I loved it. Here we had the head of security. He’s a mob boss in NY and in the island he keeps everyone safe. His little is a report who’s nosier than she should be and it gets her trapped on the island- just like Evander planned.

The ending felt kinda abrupt for me I wish it would go on a bit more but the previews at the end of doctor d? I’m intrigued! lol

Another good one by Sadie. If you like darker romance but daddy doms too. This is the perfect mix. It’s so hard to find dark romance and daddy’s in the same books and this does it.

Best one yet!

Daddy Dangerous is the fourth book in the Forbidden Pleasures Island series by Sadie Minx, and wow—what a ride! I highly recommend reading the series in order because the stories build on each other, and you really get to see how the characters grow and change.

This is a dark romance, so be prepared for scenes with punishments, medical play, and moments of dubious consent. It’s definitely not for everyone, but if that’s your thing, this book does it very well. The spice level is just right, and the story grabs you right from the beginning and keeps going strong.

I loved watching Evander and Natalie figure out what kind of dynamic works for them, even when others on the island don’t understand. I found myself really rooting for them and their connection. If you're into darker, intense romance with some serious heat, Daddy Dangerous won’t disappoint.

This book was really exciting in the aspect that Natalie Bauer is a reporter and has managed to get herself a position on the boat coming to the island where she intends to sneak around and find the story of the two missing women, Juliet and Isabella. What she doesn’t know is Evander has planned her capture and has been feeding her bits of information to draw her in. I thoroughly enjoyed how Natalie eventually discovered her love for her daddy and had to go through a lot to reach the point where she was happy to stay and towards their happily ever after. I loved the epilogue where it talks about Dr D and his plans that he has for Millie.

I love this series and looked forward to Evander’s story, and what a story it is! Wow! He is everything I expected him to be and more. Evander is one of the Daddies on the special island and he has his heart set on Natalie. She is a reporter who wants to find out more about this mysterious island. Little does she know what lays ahead of her. I literally laughed out loud so many times with the things Natalie says. She is just so perfect for Evander. He’s dark, dirty and delicious and yet has a soft spot for Natalie. This story takes you on their incredible journey of which I never wanted to end. She certainly gives him a run for his money! And their chemistry is so smoking hot I thought I would need a fire extinguisher to put out the flames on my Kindle. This story certainly warmed my heart in more ways than one! A definite must read!

Run, little kitten, run. Daddy’s coming.

This dark age play is one of those books where you sit back and stare blankly and whisper “What did I just read and why did I like it so much?”

The dark side may have cookies but this dark daddy has a soap covered eggplant and it seems like such an exquisite pun!shment and I’ve learned a fun new way to take medicine.

That dinner scene tho…

I think this one might be my favorite one yet. I love her sass and fire. She’s so brave and fierce. Love love. This review is a mindless rant because there are no words to describe how amazing this book is.

PS- I won’t spoil it but OMG the epilogue has me so happy! Talk about fire!! Yesss!

Although the Daddies seemed to get darker as the family grew, and one would expect Evander to continue the trend, that is not the case. Not to say, he is not strict and certainly there are a fair amount of punishments, but overall Evander (in my opinion) is the lightest of the Daddies so far. There are allusions to his work and organization off the island but no firm details as to exactly what he does. Although she arrives at the island chasing a story, Nelly's growing affection for Evander and her liking and acceptance by the other girls help her to find her place on the island, making for a very satisfying read.

Evander and Natalie

Okay so this series is dark and delicious and I love it. This one hit a bit different though but not in a bad way. Evander is still morally grey but just a little less so than the previous Daddies. Natalie is still reluctant and resistant but gets on board just a little bit quicker than the previous Littles. Almost like Evander is just awakening something that was already in Natalie. Evander is just as sadistic and creative with his punishments though and the spice is still off the charts. I liked the slightly different approach taken with this story. It keeps the series fresh and interesting. I cannot wait for the next book!

This is a story that you will not want to finish, but cannot put down and when it's finished you will be wanting the next one now. I am envious of people finding this series when it is finished so that they can go from one story to the next one, and not have to wait for the next publication. I loved all the well done characters and how each story is so different yet interlinked. Natalie and Evander are so well suited. I received an advanced reader copy of this book and am leaving an honest review. It's darkly delicious.

Wow, this one steps up the shock value a bit.

I really enjoyed Nelly's backstory of how she got onto the island. I like how she is portrayed as fearless and focused. I also appreciate that her character grows, becoming compassionate and adaptive to changing circumstances.

Evander is ruthless but in a wonderful twist he has more redeeming qualities than you think. I found him to be more interesting than I expected. He is still as deliciously depraved as anticipated but still finds a way to meet her needs, physical, emotional and mental.

Guilty Pleasure

Daddy Dangerous is book 4 in the Forbidden Pleasures Island series and is Evander and Natalie's story.
This series has quickly become a guilty pleasure of mine and I wasn't disappointed with this latest offering. The chemistry between Natalie and Evander is off the chart and I absolutely love her sass. She's a really feisty character.
Next is Doctor D and Millie's story and I'm counting down the days.

If you like your books dark, delicious and completely naughty, then this is for you. Evander has more depth of character than I thought and he adapts better to the strong, sassy Natalie than I imagined.
The flow in this book is strong and interesting and as always Sadie Minx produces a story that captures your attention.
My only criticism (for me) is the bullying and hateful comments from Juliet and Jasper. I felt this was over the top.

This is a fantastic series, and this one may just be my favorite. I loved the darkness level, and the push and pull between Evander and Natalie. She's feisty, but Evander knows just how to handle her. One of my favorite things about this series is the way the books build upon one another. We get answers to questions from previous books, while getting new questions that will answered in the future.

If you love the darker side of romance, this one is for you.

Another captivating read from the Forbidden Pleasures Island and oh so hot and steamy.
Natalie headed to the island following two individuals looking for the scoop that will lead to her break into journalism.
Evander’s job is to protect everyone on the island. Everyone aims to keep on his right side. When Natalie stands out for not being on holiday his instinct is to hunt her. And when he catches her ….
These characters are so dark and dangerous, the heat flows from the page as the story unfolds, plenty of twists and turns kept me engrossed and I could not put the book down.
I loved this book and highly recommend it, the series and the author.

I have loved reading about Evander in the other books and so glad he found his Little in a spitfire named Natalie. She is the cutest but definitely had to be kept on a short leash and it’s a good thing she has Daddy and Papa to handle her. Great book four and looking forward to the next one in the series. Another dark book by Sadie Minx. Evander and Natalie are an interesting couple. Natalie is sarcastic and uses sarcasm more than is good for her. Evander loves her, but he isn't going to deprive himself of the pleasure of disciplining her.

First of all, this is a dark romance so check your triggers if you have any. I enjoyed Evander and Natalie's story but it did go a bit darker than what I'm used to. Even so, I found myself rooting for them as they worked through their relationship. If you don't mind dark reads, this may be one that you love so I highly recommend getting it and settling in for a wild ride.

What follows is another wonderful addition to Pleasure Island with a hot passionate tale, where Evander finally gets to play Dr with his own little girl.

Every story and character in this series is so individual and unique. The story is captivating and so delightfully dark with characters that while very different, fit together amazingly! This series is exactly what I want when I am ready to read something a little darker but with all the chemistry I could want. I liked that Natalie is sassy and even though she's a reporter she's bitten off more than she realizes. I though Evander was strong and the perfect match for her.

ummmm… no!

This is not even okay. Left me feeling gross and yucky. I love the daddy references and books but going as far as to put on a diaper and little girl dresses and drink milk… Seems a l too wrong and too gross.
