Conversations on Vedanta in Practice

In Conversations on Vedanta in Practice, timeless questions meet living wisdom. Drawn from real-life conversations with Swami Sarvapriyananda, a revered monk of the Ramakrishna Order, this book is a luminous offering for spiritual seekers navigating modern life. Each exchange—honest, searching, and deeply human—becomes a doorway to self-inquiry and transformation. From grief to grace, forgiveness to freedom, these dialogues point inward, gently guiding the reader back to the unchanging Self behind all change. Rooted in the nondual teachings of Advaita Vedanta, yet grounded in daily experience, this is Vedanta lived—not in retreat from the world, but in the midst of it.
This is a book to sit with, to open when the world grows loud and the soul grows still. In these pages, you may not find all the answers—but you may come to know the one who is silently asking.

Swami Sarvapriyananda is my favorite teacher, and this book captures his accessible, insightful responses to some of the most common questions about Advaita Vedanta and spiritual life. It’s a remarkably easy and enjoyable read—ideal for those curious about Vedanta or exploring the spiritual path.

That said, if you're already familiar with the Upanishads or have a grounding in Vedantic philosophy, don’t expect new philosophical depth here. This isn’t a deep dive into metaphysics but rather a clear and practical Q&A-style guide.
