Marguerite Ferrara wows audiences on the haute couture catwalks of Milan, Paris, and New York, but whenever she’s face-to-face with Drew Jackson, she feels like a gawky thirteen-year-old in love with a superstar who will never see her as more than his younger brother’s ex-girlfriend.

Drew’s superstar days are long over. A car accident shattered his knee, destroyed his football career, and crushed his hopes of winning Maggie’s love. How can he, a desk-bound financial advisor, compete against the celebrities Maggie whirls through one-night stands or Tyler Lamarck, the social media maverick who sweeps her off her feet?

Jade Kerrion, an award-winning author, got her start in fan fiction. She developed a loyal reader base with her fan fiction series based on the MMORPG Guild Wars. She was accused of keeping her readers up at night, distracting them from work, housework, homework, and (far worse), from actually playing Guild Wars.

And then she wondered why just screw up the time management skills of gamers? Why not aspire to screw everyone else up too? So here she is, writing books that aspire to keep you from doing anything else useful with your time.

She lives in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with her wonderfully supportive husband and her two young sons, Saint and Angel, (no, those aren't their real names, but they are like saints and angels, except when they're not.)

I received a complimentary copy of this book, and voluntarily reviewed it.

We meet Maggie first in "Aroused", and get to know and understand her much better in "Betrayed". She and Drew are lost in-between the words they are afraid to say and the fear of not being good enough for each other.

I liked that we got a little flashback to Vera & Rowan, and that the end sets the stage for the next story. Ms. Kerrion sure knows how to keep a reader interested.

I was provided a copy of the book by the Author for an honest review.

Wow I just finish reading this book, and I love it, love the characters, and love how the book turn out to be, this is a book about second chances, about a love that being strong for years, and keep getting stronger, I am gone keep this short since I don't want to give anything away.
If you had read AROUSED, than you all ready met Marguerite ( A.K.A) Maggie, she appears almost at the end of the book, this is her story.

The story begging with Maggie, she's a model, a well know model, she just got back from a date with an actor, who though that just cause he took her out on a date, he had the right to take her to bed, while the actor tell her that he can leave cause of the cameraman outside her apartment, she grab the phone and call Vera, who is married to a famous model for help, once she agree the actor left, she finally got over that night.

The next morning Drew, Maggie financial adviser and friend woke up with an alert from Google on Maggie, he seen the picture of Maggie with another date, Drew was on the rise to become a professional quarterback , but all that chance when he got into an accident that change his life.
Drew and Maggie have being in love with each other for the last ten years, and Maggie is getting worked up cause all the mix signals that Drew is sending her, but all that is about to change the moment that Drew say enough is enough, will they get their happy ending or will Drew gone keep being a stubborn like always.

I love how Maggie and Drew are with each other, I love Drew attitude how he always is series when it comes to Maggie, and I love it how Maggie push his bottom every time she wants him to confess.
I really love and enjoy reading this book, I cant wait to read more of these series, Author Jade Kerrion THANK YOU for introducing me to this awesome characters and this wonderful book love it.

So he becomes her financial advisor and protector guarding his heart not to give more.

Marguerite Ferrara is a famous model as she graces the catwalks of Milan, Paris and New York since her teenage. The paparazzi and press follow her every move and the males who date her. She has always been in love with her ex-boyfriend ‘s younger brother since she was thirteen but he has never shown any interest in her no matter what she wears.

Drew Jackson has always love her since their first meeting but has never crossed the line. When a terrible car accident ruins his chance of a football career, hi hits depression but when Maggie visits him in the hospital, he finds the reason to move on. As time passes he becomes her financial advisor as he manages her money and pays her bills.

Maggie sets her plan to seduce him while he tries to keep their monthly meeting on a platonic level. Throw in a sex video scandal as we watch them come together despite themselves and a secret promise that still haunts him into the mix.

Can these come together when another car accident occurs causing them to come full circle?

The Life Shocks series is full of emotion, brewing with pain and yearning, and ultimate satisfaction. I've already read Aroused, the first book, and love the way author Jade Kerrion creates the tug and pull between two hearts, yet traps them with anguish by throwing up awful roadblock. Of course, they eventually surmount it and you feel the love is all the more worthwhile for overcoming the obstacle

Maggie's story is like a train-wreck waiting to happen. I could feel her frustration and pain as she tried to get Drew's attention by acting out. Unfortunately, it drove him further into his shell. Add to that, the fact he was sleeping with another woman, and Maggie ends up well [okay, exposed in some form, but no spoilers], and you have a seemingly impossible love story.

But as these things go, passion overwhelms logic, and things heat up. Can't give away any more of the story. You'll just have to read it, because believe me, it's exciting.

I really enjoyed reading Betrayed. It's a quick not too easy, not too angsty read. It's sweet and sexy with a little bit of danger thrown in to keep you on your toes.

Maggie has been in love with Drew Jackson ever since she first laid eyes on him and Drew feels the same way, but they have never been anything other than friends. Painful circumstances have to happen before Maggie finally learns of Drew's hesitations to take their relationship to the next level. Once she does, she devises a plan to force Drew into giving up his iron control and to take a chance on them.

This book frustrated me, made my heart ache, made me laugh, sigh (in a good way), and it made me happy. It's a beautiful story and I'm so excited to read the other books in the series!

Betrayed is a standalone, told with dual POV's, and has a HEA. ~4.5 stars

Marguerite Ferrara (Maggie) has had a crush on Drew Jackson for 10 years but he seems to only view her as his little brother's ex-girlfriend.

As Maggie becomes more prominent in the modeling world, she relies on Drew to manage her money and tries to get closer to him. Drew puts his guard up with Maggie, thinking he's not good enough for her after a car accident left him with a serious knee injury that ended his football career.

As events bring Maggie and Drew closer together they must decide if the love they have hidden from each other is worth the risk.

I love these characters and the insecurities that they each have toward the other. They both love each other but are scared to take a risk and get hurt.

Maggie has been in love with Drew for years and he's in love with her too. Drew thinks that he isn't good enough for her and a promise keeps them apart for way too long. He continues to push her away, but Maggie is ready to fight for him and refuses to take no for an answer in all things. A terrible accident could tear them apart.

I so loved Maggie. She was passionate and ready to fight for her man. She was there for him when he needed her most and wasn't going to let him push her away now when they had finally connected. I totally got why Drew resisted. Between Maggie's life in the public eye and that stupid promise. I wanted their happily ever after.

I give Betrayed 4 hearts!

Drew had to fight his feelings for Maggie when she was 13. No longer 13 and a hot model. Drew is still fighting his feelings because of an injury. Life always happens, even at the strangest times and, oddly, familiar ways. Maggie and Drew must overcome many obstacles in this riveting romance that will have you crying and leave you breathless!

I won this book from the author at one of the Facebook parties.
This is the second book in the Life Shocks Romances series, and just as the first one, I really enjoyed reading this book too. It was sweet and sexy, and so full of emotions and hope. The ending made me smile and want for more. I'll definitely be reading the next book in the series!

Loved this short easy read, Betrayed is a standalone but it does go well with the other Life Shocks Romances books in the series. This is Maggie and Drew's story and you meet Maggie in Aroused. Jade Kerrion is a new author to me and I have really enjoyed this series.

4 Crazy Stars!!!

This was a great quick read. I was hooked right from the start and was able to finish in one sitting. The only thing I wished would have happened is more story on Drew's recovery and life after Drew and Maggie are finally together. I'm off to read Crushed.
