For an early reader picture book this is fine. The pictures are delightful. However, when viewed through a lens without nostalgia, this is little more than a glorified commercial for the television show and has less narrative through-line than the opening credits.
The random things one finds when clearing out old boxes from the garage.
Fraggle Rock is still picking up new fans 33 years after it went off the air, and this is a good place to start if you have a budding Fraggle Rocker (as they called fans in my day) in your household between about 3 and 6. The appeal for fans of my generation is pure nostalgia (or for collectors), not to mention the cute, well-done illustrations. The one thing the books can't deliver that was always the TV series' strongest suit, of course, is MUSIC. So it's a good place to start, but only the show itself is the complete package.
Stands the test of time, easily one of the best fraggle books ever written. Lovely to read aloud to friends and loved ones. Has gotten me through some stuff. It's my goal to be able to recite it from memory and I am so close. ❤️
