This is a standalone book in the Primrose Peak Shifters series. Each couple will get their own Happily Ever After in each book!
For Allison, the night started off with a breakup that left her wondering if life could get any worse. Her boyfriend had cheated on her… again… and with a thinner woman… again. She should have been used to it by now, but every time a man broke her heart this way, the curvy beauty felt worse.
But the night could get worse, and it did. Attacked by a vicious pack of wolves, Allison’s world fades into darkness.
But she awakened into a world of mystery and intrigue, where three gorgeous men claim to be werewolves, and say they are protecting her from a rival wolf pack that wants to harm her.
It’s ridiculous. Werewolves don’t exist. And men like this aren’t interested in plus sized girls like her. Are they?
Soon she is embroiled in the midst of a bitter rivalry between two packs – a feud that has lasted for decades and has finally reached a boiling point. And worst of all, her presence is threatening to destroy the pack that is trying to protect her.
But a meeting with the Primrose Peak Shifters leads Allison and the pack down a new path – and one that could lead to happiness and pleasure for her and the three gorgeous men she’s come to care for so deeply!
Note: This book was previously published in a much shorter version as Rescued by the Pack by Leah Knight. It has been revised and expanding, including tons of new and exciting content!
I was really disappointed in the storyline. It was convoluted. Lacked a coherent train of thought at times. The editing of this book was probably the most disappointing part. 1. There is no character development. 2. The introduction of characters with no relevance or explanation ie Lydia and the gold dust. Really? 3. How easily Michael would break pack law on sleeping with her when he is a man of honor and duty. (why) 4. No development of an attraction or relationship to Luke or Logan. Logan is shown as the goofy whipping boy, while Luke and Allison spends scarcely 10 minutes interacting but she mates them. I read book 1 and against my better judgment decided to give the series another try but I wasted a good hour and half of my day with this one.
Although I enjoyed the book, I found it lacking something. I think the author has a good base as a plot, but needs to branch it out a bit. The story itself was good, and I liked the characters, even though they act like a bunch of juveniles from time to time, but I think that could be the pull for them. I wish it would have been a bit longer. Overall, I enjoyed the book and would read more from this author if given the opportunity.
I chose the rating because, it is the same as book one the only difference is the characters. I have found that when authors do series books like this the sex is the same.
Lied? Overall the editing was clean, but lied is not the past tense of lay. Very jarring, repeated error. The characters bicker like spoiled children. The premise is familiar if not quite a cliche. It's just not that good a book; there are better.
This book was good. Michael seemed a little tough on Logan than Lucas. The guys treatment to each other was not great. This book with the way it ended definitely made me think what is next. Also trying to figure out what happens next. I really what to know more about simon.
It was a pretty good story, but I felt like there was a bit missing, and I would have liked to see more as to the main character closing out her previous life - great potential there...
I would really give this about a 3.25 - there are some really good things about this book. The balance of things that drive me nuts pulls its score downwards.
