I've read numerous books about movies - various companion guides, trivia guides, and, in terms of the Hunger Games, even tribute guides. I generally take them in stride since they mostly feature pictures about the upcoming film with little intriguing information.

However, the Twilight film archive is an all encompassing guide to the series. Not only does it include pictures and insight into the upcoming final film, it features information about the entire series. It goes into the various actors, their characters, the sets, how they handled the pandaemonium during filming, and so forth.

My rating is not based on the value of the literature. I recognize this is not on par with my favorite books, but in terms of film guides, this is far superior to anything I've ever read. They included cut outs and call sheets, information we normally never see as a movie viewer. This was obviously not slapped together just for the sake of making some money. I felt like the team that created this really wanted something incredible for the fans to take home and keep.

I give major props to this film archive. No matter your thoughts on the films, this book was well done.

Ok, let me justify my 5 star rating. No, this is not an amazing piece of literature. Hell, I don't think it can even be called literature. It's a book about a film series.

The Complete Archive takes us through the journey of all 5 Twilight movies. Woven throughout each movie are introductions to the actors, and not just the main three. It talks about the wolves and the humans, and all the new vampires brought in during the finale one. There are memories written from producers, directors, and actors. On top of that, there are replica film call sheets, movie premiere tickets, and more.

Why give this 5 stars? Because of the feeling of nostalgia I got flipping through each page. It brought back the feelings of excitement I had when I saw Twilight in the theater for the first time. It made me forget about all the drama and hype surrounding the actors and made me excited for the finale movie, which, honestly, I hadn't been excited for lately.

So, good job. Thank you for this wonderful souvenir to commemorate this film journey.

I am incredibly happy with this book! I am absolutely thrilled when my dad gave this to me as a surprise. He told me that this book was sold out and when the possibility of never going to read this book is sinking in the back of my mind, he pulled out a brown paper bag containing this!

Okay, back to my review....

As a fan of this series, I would definitely say that this book really exceeded my expectations. The book is clearly for the fans and is made beautifully, not something that is just stamped together here or pasted together there .... no, this book is made to make us fans be nostalgic, remembering the time from the first movie up to the last. The makers even included never before seen footages from the making of the movies, little treasures inside such as stickers, stills that are made into post card like photos, the signed posters, etc..

A MUST BUY FOR EVERY TWILIGHT FAN, you won't regret buying this :-)

The first time I found out about this book, I was completely ecstatic. I'm such a twihard and I was so excited that they were releasing this archive type book, especially when there were 'mementos' involved.

Also, as a student, this book was quite affordable and not as expensive as I'd expected.

First time exploring the book was magical, I often had to stop and calm myself down because it brings back so much memories. I could also say cheesily, I fell in love with the saga all over again. Everything you possibly needed to know about the movies were in here.

I loved the postcard-sized pictures, the cullen crest and wolf tattoo stickers and the signed poster. Honestly though, as amazing as the book already is, I expected it to be more interactive and to have more little treasures. (Like maybe Bella's moonstone and/or engagement ring? Well, a girl can dream can't she :) )

All in all, there are no words to describe how much I love it. Thank goodness it's hardcover because it's going to be with me for a very, very long time.

I wanted to get this book for two months, I'm so glad I got it, as a Twilight fan this seems great, I loved it though I hated one thing, the extra photos and stuff are stuck, if you tried to remove them you would destroy the photos, so basically don't remove anything from it's place, other than that, enjoy the book.

Remember those days of Twilight pandemonium? How awesome it was to see the movie at the midnight showing? And to catch the earlier showings if you were lucky enough to get a pass?

This book brings it all back.

Not only does this book cover the Twilight premieres and the craze over Edward, Bella, and Jacob on-screen, it covers behind the scenes items and moments that were either never talked about or just overlooked during promos and such.

This took The Twilight Saga beyond the films with stories told by the actors (one of them by Jackson Rathbone--Jasper Whitlock/Hale/Cullen--my favorite), with tidbits never covered by the directors before, with memories of being there as well as ephemera from the movies and premieres. Better than any of the magazine articles, better than the interviews. You get a peek into a world that could only exist in Twilight. A real fan's view and not something we've heard or seen a million times over. There are playlists, casting call sheets, images from the movies as well as behind the scenes. All beautifully done. So many little details, my head would have been spinning if I hadn't had a clue as to what they were talking about.

Overall, a great book. It's fun walking down memory lane, though I think they concentrated a little too much on the fan reactions to the films and media concerning them more than the films themselves--hence the four and not five stars--but definitely worth a read if you were part of that craze. I guess if you weren't in the Twilight world, this book would be a thousand question marks...a million guffaws. I would say read it if you are just now reading the books...it can only enhance the experience.

List of ephemera included:

Goddammit, I am probably going to be the only [straight] guy reviewing this book. *Curse you Gods, who gave me an emotional capacity of a 15-year old girl~!
Seriously, though, this book was almost tailor-made for me, because I love books that:

- Are big in size, because big books let me overcompensate for... things;
- Have glossy pages, because I like stuff that's shiny and sparkly;
- Have a minimum of 2:1 ratio between photos/illustrations and text, because I am technically reading, even though I'm exerting a minimum amount of effort;
- Have ANYTHING to do with "Twilight".

It's been a good year since the last time I've watched the entire saga (right before the final premier), so this book was just what the doctor ordered - a refreshing look back at those beautiful movies. Of course, I had a hard case of the twilight bug [still do, to a degree], so I've watched all of the "Making of" documentaries: as a result, I basically knew everything in the book. Still, the photos, fun memorabilia, cards, copies of invitations and fun little tidbits like that were pretty cool to look at while you're surfing through the pages. Books like this are the reason I still try my best to delay the inevitable switch to ebooks, because there is a certain amount of pleasure in holding photos, opening silly little envelopes and having a hardcover like that on your table or bookshelf.

For a Twilight fanatic like me, I didn't expect to love this work.

I couldn't ever imagine how was really the process not to just direct or perform in a movie, but it's really impressive all the hard, intense and organized situation that is to have castings for all te actors and actresses, producers, schedules on hours to film, get the people ready, respect as much as possible the story on paper that was the result of Meyer's dream. Being on premieres, respect minimum detail, perform in a film years of work with no words but images instead this time.

I don't think I had acknowledge of how making five films in four years was such an incredible journey. I mean, I saw the movies expecting that they would respect the plot on the story, but I don't think that besides of the Twilight Books I ever imagined that it such a long process. Whether you love or hate Twilight, it's really impressive all that it took.

Even if I weren't a Twilight fan, I would still find this an amazing compilation of real treasures.

I have added this as one of the final pieces of the Twilight Saga to my collection. In it you find a lot of behind the scenes information that you will not find in another publication. It's the perfect coffee table book for those who are extreme Twihards or have their own twi-cave.

I wasn’t totally sure what to expect with this film archive, considering illustrated companions already exist for the first four movies I thought this might just be a lot of the same information. However, that wasn’t really the case, there were some repeated bits but this archive focuses much less on the technical aspects of the film making. Instead this book has much more input from different cast members and their experiences and favourite moments.

The coolest thing about this book is all the little bits and pieces you get insides such as replica premier tickets, a wedding invite and posters.

It was also great to finally get some Breaking Dawn part 2 content, considering they never published the illustrated companion for that movie it was great to finally get a bit of insight. However, there wasn’t much on Bella’s transformation and the final battle scene which I was pretty disappointed by.

The reason this book is a four star instead of five is simply due to the incredibly poor placement of these extras. Many of them are covering other pictures and text, particularly the postcards and the wedding invite. The invite in particular is smack in the middle of stunning shot of Bella and Edward from the wedding, completely covering their faces.

This extras are also glued in so strongly that if you tried to pull them out you’d more than likely damage the page underneath.

I was lucky enough to get this book for only $10 from a used book website so I’m not too bothered by this poorly planned execution. However, considering this book has a $40-60 price tag when brought new I would have been SUPER mad to find that half the pictures are covered.

If you can find one cheap, it’s a great book to add your Twilight collection.

A mí me ha encantado. Os lo recomiendo 😘

A good collection of facts and fun trivia and character comments and interviews, many of which even as an avid twilight fan I had not heard before. I loved the detail and thought that’s gone into this, and it’s clearly made by people who appreciate the depth and hold twilight has on the world. I loved all the little extra tickets and phots and stuff, my only complaint there is several of them were stuck over other items of art and phots on the main page so you couldn’t see what was underneath which is a shame. I definitely recommend to anyone whos a twilight fan and wants a little more behind-the-scenes information and trivia.

It’s a $40 book but I got it at Books A Million for like $8!!! The interviews and information and stuff wasn’t very groundbreaking but the pictures are amazing and it has a ton of nerdy artifacts like scripts, premiere passes, VIP passes and crew calls. THERE WAS NOTHING MORE EXCITING THAN TURNING A PAGE AND FINDING AN ENVELOPE BECAUSE ANYTHING COULD BE IN IT LIKE STICKERS OR POSTERS! By far the best thing I got in this book was a beautiful print of Bella and edwards wedding invitation... I almost started crying...
