This ebook contains very hot and explicit descriptions of romantic activity. Only mature readers should download this book.
Since releasing her first romance book in 2012, Lucia Jordan has done more than just write stories. She has helped define a genre. As a pioneer of the digital romance revolution, Lucia has penned hundreds of sizzling titles, delighted millions of readers, and earned thousands of five-star reviews. Her ability to blend emotional depth with uninhibited passion has made her a household name, with her hit novel Rock Hard earning a coveted nod as the #1 must-read erotic novel by Women's Health magazine.
But Lucia’s passion extends beyond the page. As the creative force and founding author behind Wild Hearts Romance, she is a champion for the indie community, dedicated to lifting up new voices in a genre she calls powerful, valid, and necessary. She writes for the dreamers and the risk-takers to craft stories that leave nothing to the imagination and remind us all that everyone deserves a happily-ever-after.
When she isn’t fantasizing about her next spicy scene or advocating for fellow writers, Lucia can be found in her sanctuary, a cozy garden gazebo in the Pacific Northwest. It is here that she retreats with her literary trio of cats, Ursula, Colette, and Daphne, to let her imagination wander. With a cup of tea in hand, she dreams up the sizzling plotlines and unforgettable adventures that have made her a bestseller.
When Mandy walks into a furniture store she is instantly attracted to one of the workers Richard, which is odd as she isn't normally attracted to a blue collar worker.
This is the first book by this author that I have read. Wow! What an introduction. It is exceptionally well written. I usually don’t like books whose stories are told thru multiple books. But the way this one is written, I may have to change my mind. This book was a story unto itself, meaning, it had beginning middle and ending. Leaving the reader not needing to buy the next book, yet wanting too. That is truly an art. Job well done!!
what the hell .. this is not a healthy dom/sub approach. the toxic and manipulative way he talks to her.. was disgusting and borderline abusive. I didn't expect much for less then 50 pages but that was not even decent smut. the swap on character perspective was thrown together, and almost confusing. not recommended, really disappointed. I won't be reading anything else by this author.
This is the story of Mandy and Richard. Mandy has landed her dream job in a great city. She knows her future has even greater potential. One day while shopping for furniture for her new apartment, she sees a man that leaves butterflies in her stomach. He is not her usual type. She usually his for men in the corporate world that have lots of money. However, this man's good looks has her in a spell.
Richard is a nice guy who knows what he likes and wants. I liked how he was forward without being offensive. However, he was a little confusing at the beginning. He was contemplating between sleeping with her or not and it caused him to send mixed signals. To him, she looked innocent and naive. That appealed to the Dom in him.
The story got interesting when Richard set out a challenge when he said Mandy couldn't handle him. I liked Mandy's confidence in trying to convince him to try her, even though he does not choose vanilla women to be his submissives. Mandy has a fierceness in trying new things.
I did not come to like the Dom side of Richard. He was bland. He was better as the guy the author first introduced in the story. I thought he was moving too fast, especially when explaining his lifestyle. He basically was throwing Mandy into it without much explanation of why things are done (or example, calling him sir without a foundation of trust and punishing her without completely establishing the rules).
I did not like how Mandy was jealous after one night with him. She was getting to attached for no reason and also making assumptions about other women. She was too emotional. That emotion began the back and forth between them, and it was too much for people that had sex one night.
One line plummeted this whole book for me. If that one sentence was left out, this book would have gotten a 2.25 star rating. Also, this plot was rushed towards the very end. Joe's, Mandy's boss, jealousy was thrown in at the last minute to emphasize the cliffhanger. If there was more interaction between Joe and Mandy then his reaction would have been justified and understood.
I did not want to continue with this story. Better luck next time.
