I lay here, exhausted and more confused than when my night first started. I've just discovered something else about myself that I wish wasn't true. Not only do I have to feed on the blood of humans, I've also found out that I need the "essence of a man" as Theoden called it, in order to survive. If that isn't enough on my plate, I know Theoden wants to break me down even more. He won't be happy until he's taken every part of me that wants to fight him and crushed it under his foot. He wants me to submit to him and I only pray that I can resist his hold over me.

As Noel submits himself to Theoden, and to his brothers, the story has become hottest.
The violence scenes are not so often.
This one, is Noel's sex initiation.
Though Noel doesn't want to have pleasure, his body takes control of him.
Bruce, explaining to him what kind of vampire Theoden is, Noel finally gives up and admits that he never had a chance, his submission was inevitable.
Theoden is half dragon and half vampire.
His strength comes from blood and sex (cum), and that only male can provide.
He's too powerful to be defeated.
And the bond between them is strong, and for their own survival, they need each other's to feed, only Theoden's sires have this kind of power, they are the elite from the elite.
There's no way out to Noel.

Still horrifyingly fascinating...
I noticed a few months ago that there was a "new" series that ties in with this one. I kind of hope I need to start over if it's a prequel so I can listen to these again when it's the right spot in chronological order!

This one is sooooo awesome! Knowing what's to come...what is said and what these characters mean to each other makes this reread all the better. Plus we get our full introduction to the beast...Marco. Noel and his POV continues to be brilliant. I love him.

The pieces are all coming together and as crazy as fuck as this shit is, I am understanding. But good lord...to say I am not scarred would be a lie.
And while the content of this one was once again pushing my limits...it was easier to take for me than the 3rd Volume...so my rating went back up accordingly. Onto #5...

This is the forth book in the series and it is smoking hot! Mr. Bella is turning up the heat in this one. Noel is at a turning point where his will to resist is warring with his needs as a vampire. He is still true to his character and gets the punishment no man would ever want. But now he has learned an important lesson about who his sire is and how much he can read of Noel. The test today is proving his submission, and Theoden is not one to test his subjects easily. No, he wants to make sure the lesson is learned the first time. Noel is quickly learning that resistance is futile, and pleasure can be had by doing what is demanded of him. Noel is well on the way to the dark side, and he might even go willingly.
This series gets more and more intense and I cannot wait to see where the next book takes us. The stakes are higher, and Noel is finally beginning to get with the program. I can only imagine where the author will take us next! If you love a dark and twisted tale as much as I do, this series is perfect.

This series is really starting to pick up as far as details go. Up until now, most of the story has been about Noel learning his place, and while the same is still true this time around, he is a bit further along in his studies.
Théoden is a rock, an immovable, impenetrable rock. He never gives in and does not hesitate to give Noel reminders when he has little setbacks of disobedience. He has a clear lesson plan, and his methods are a pretty surefire way to get Noel to submit, however long that will take. I actually like this about Théoden. I love that he stays true to himself and his nature. He is one badass mofo, and we are given some little tidbits of information this time around as to where some of that may come from.
I think the main lesson learned by Noel here is that he not only needs blood to survive, but he needs the sex as well to flourish. He is still fighting both of these, but really, he doesn’t stand much of a chance against the experienced vamps helping to make him understand. He is low vamp on the totem pole to each of Théoden’s “children,” and that is made more than clear in this segment. Even though he can’t help but submit to the others and his desires/needs, I see him putting up at least a mental fight for quite some time to come.
Speaking of mental fights, poor Noel also learns that Théoden has the ability to read minds – no thoughts are ever to himself, nor can he ever lie and get away with it. Things just keep getting worse and worse for Noel.
As with the previous books, I read this in one sitting. It had me riveted from the get go wanting to continue with Noel’s

Yes you read that right- This is the 4th book in the CHAINED IN DARKNESS series. We have found our human Noel now living as vampire. He has gone through so far 3 levels of training or transition. His master/sire or Lord depending on what Theodus wants Noel to call him. Has so far ACCEPTED him into his house and the vampire society. Then we found Noel going through PUNISHMENT in the 2nd book. His sire has a whole series of punishments planned for Noel. Our 3rd book was LESSONS. This is where poor Noel has got to learn a veryhard series of Lessons from his master. Until he is able to do everything that Theodus wants to him. He will continue on this downward spiral. Then you have our 4th book- SUBMISSION!! Now can you imagine our new vampling is having to go through now?? We all have to submit to changes and what is best for us. But the question is does Noel finally submit to his new sire and what he wants??

Addicted just wont cover it...not even sure why. (laughs) But yeah before this series Nicholas was a unknown Author to me. Now all I want to do is bask in his talent not only to weave such dark, intense magic he pushes you right over the cliff. In a world of paranormal combined with BDSM more SM than the BD.. but wow.
Each book as this one is short and to the point, you need to read them in order but its well worth your time.
Theoden is a force to reckon with every part of him demands respect and he wont be denied. Noel is or was a resistance fighter and now he belongs to one of the most powerful Vampire Lords in existence. There are times I just wanted to shake Noel and say really?? Still fighting? for what exactly. The pain Noel has endured was his in the making, a hard lesson to learn. In this book 4 lessons still to be learned but also the time has come to bond, not only with his Sire/Master but the rest of his brothers. As he tries to continue to fight to keep himself, Theoden strives to show him just what he is and what he's lost but there are times you will see a wee bit, just a wee bit of softness in the Great Vampire Lord.
The story is quick, scenes intense and well written. I think I even cringed myself at certain parts. This so far as been a awesome amazing series. Again as the others.. its not for the faint of heart. Those of you that likes the dark and intense.. then I recommend this book and the series. Enjoy

I was so looking forward to this book, I locked myself in a silent room to have some private time just for myself and this sexy read! And damn....Nicholas Bella seems never to disappoint me, no matter what! With every installment in this awesome series you are drawn closer and closer to Theoden and nearly can't resist just like Noel to submit his evil but hot as hell charme and sex appeal. While reading you nearly feel the silent growl and the tingle and sizzling on your skin like poor Noel....It's amazing and addictive like nothing else.

Once again we pick up where we left off. The reader really must read each one to get the entire story in mind since there's no reminders of the episode before the one being read.
Noel has finally accepted his fate and discovers that sex with another man isn't as bad as he had thought it would be, that of course, being mainly due to what Theoden really is.
There's a few surprises in this episode which totally makes up for the flop episode three was. I actually liked the major twist in this one concerning Theoden and I hope the series delves more into that further along.
There's no real cliffhanger at the end of this one so you cliffhanger haters can rest assured there's pretty much a solid end to this book with just a hinting that more is to come.
I look forward to reading Control, episode 5 of this series.

This shows what Noel is facing. Theoden has him in his total control and Noel has to face up to that. He learns more about his "master" too, such as he can read Noel's mind and why they need sperm along with blood to survive. This book was so HOT I'm surprised that my kindle didn't catch on fire. I think I saw it smoking a few times. This is definitely a must read for people who enjoy M/M erotica with a paranormal twist. I'm hooked and can't stop reading, on to book 5 right now. Wish I could rate it higher.

So hot, yet so violent! This series is just wow... It is both horrifying and highly erotic. It's a good thing Noel is a vampire, as there would be no way that he would be able to survive all of the lessons that he is put through throughout the series. This book is so incredibly violent, I wouldn't recommend it for a squeamish reader! I still need to Google his piercings...what I'm picturing just doesn't seem right, lol.
I've said it before, I really don't like serial novels...this would've been much better as a full novel. Sure, it would've been 5 or 600 pages, but still. It's hard enough to wait for the next book in a series, even more so when the author stops an episode in the middle of a scene. This author DOES do that, so I recommend that if you're going to get one, get them all, or at least be prepared to. You're going to want them.
I've been offered the chance to review the first book of the next season. I had to read these before I filled out the form, I definitely want to see where this series goes. However, I'm reluctant, since I know that it's only the one book that's available and it will be torture waiting for the rest of the series... I can only hope that the author will have mercy on me and there will be no deadline, so I can wait for them all to be available to read them all at once.

We pick up right where we left off in book three. This one is even crazier, and it’s also the strongest yet. Intense and incredibly hot.
Theoden is impressed with Noel—he actually sounds proud, several times.
Theoden does dish out some punishment. Noel learns the hard way that he really, really should never lie to Theoden.
There are a couple of elements I’m not a fan of, but the good soooooo outweighs the “bad”/uncomfortable parts.
Marco is definitely my least favorite brother. He’s brutal.
Bruce and Donovan are nicer in this book.
Bruce shares with Noel that Theoden is half-dragon, half-vampire—Theoden feeds off of blood and sex. We learn more about Theoden’s mind-reading abilities.
Theoden is…complicated. His scenes with Noel are absolute fire. I know it’s not a romance, but I can’t help but root for something with Noel and Theoden. The sparks and the feistiness between them are captivating.

Book 4 in this unique series. Noel, a former rebel leader and Theoden's enemy, broke in the last book. In this one, he submits. Noel doesn't roll over like a puppy though, that would be boring. He is learning to survive and is making different choices now that he truly understands he has no power to change his fate. Submitting is tough for him though, he is doing things that he used to find monstrous and fought to stop as a human. The struggle of submission vs disgust regarding the acts he performs plays out in his mind, but Theoden can read his mind as all. He can't hide how he feels, there is no privacy or anything that is truly just his, not even his thoughts. He is owned. It's an incredible dark, supernatural power trip.
There were enough typos in this book that it distracted me at times. I had to stop and re-read sentences. Other than that, a good read.

This series just keeps getting better. This book had a little less violence and lot more fucking which was really hot, even though Noel still feels like he shouldn't like what is happening to him he does and he can't tell a lie, not if he wants to keep his tongue that is. We also get more info on why things are the way they are and that Theoden isn't all that he appears to be. Even though at the end of the books Noel seems to have submitted to Theoden i'm not so sure if he's submitted completely, i'll have to find out in the next book. A wonderful series that is a short but addictive read.

This is another re-read for me. I love every minute spent with these raunchy, violent, sexy taboo breakers. Theoden is so captivating a character, his image so vivid. The worlding building in this series is great. Not for every one. There are many triggers, lots of non con, torture and violence. Humiliation. Pretty good.
Noel is finally giving in. He fought a bit too hard, in my opinion. After going through so much, he held on to his pride too long for someone who longed for death on several occasions. It saddens me to see it, though.

Another great add to the series. Submission time indeed with this book. Time is finally up for Noel and if you're like me you've been dying to know how he looses his male virginity to this family. Full of hot, sexy scenes and surprises still to come for Noel. Can't wait for the next.
