I always enjoy reading an Abby Kane story. She is a bit reckless and gets herself into a lot of bad spots. But with the help of her friends and a mysterious assassin she seems to always make it through. I was a little disappointed that with the big chase scene at the end I was completely jarred from the action by some really bad errors. We have an FBI agent call in a shots fired and a car chase with 2 women in the other car only to refer to the driver as ‘he’ multiple times after that. And then back to there being 2 women in the car. Also they talked about the shooter (passenger) telling the driver to get on the right side of the car they were chasing but Abby pulled into the left lane and blocked them. What?!? And they wanted to take Abby, the driver, out so why would they be trying to get on the right side of her car anyway. 🤦♀️ Without the errors in the end it would have been a fantastic and exciting ending. So the story gets a 4 but if I counted the errors it probably would be a 3. Still a great story and maybe the errors only occurred in the kindle edition.

The final book in the "Chasing Chinatown" trilogy from author Ty Hutchinson, "Coit Tower", again teams up FBI Agent Abby Kane with SFPD Detective Kyle Kang. The murderous game known world wide as "Chasing Chinatown" returns to San Francisco for it's conclusion. The prize for the remaining teams sits at $10 million dollars for the head of Abby Kane. The game's mastermind has changed up the rules to achieve only one out come. Abby is fairly certain the prize is only on her head and not Kyle's as well. Abby's Family must be put into protective hiding by FBI. They are tucked away in Napa Valley out of reach of game's players. Also added to Abby's team is rookie FBI agent Kip Lin. Jack Park from CIA even comes to Frisco to assist Abby. However, Park is taken out quickly by one of remaining teams. When Abby is attacked at home by intruder, the team relocates to a warehouse owned by the "Hop Sing Tong". More bad news for Abby is that assassin "SEI", hired by game's mastermind, is in town with Abby in her sights!. When Team Balkans comes the closest to killing Abby it's discovered her well hidden family is in grave danger. Was there a possible double agent as well ? How well was Abby's family protected ? "SEI" opened up a huge cloud of doubt for Abby. Why wouldn't "SEI" just kill Abby with the ease she was able to get next to Abby with ? I was sorry to see this book end. This trilogy featuring Abby Kane and Kyle Kang playing the Chasing Chinatown murder game was very enjoyable to read. Never a dull moment with the plot or story line as it develops into a really good thriller/ mystery series. Complete with some unforeseen twists this incredible trilogy delivers some exceptional characters to root for, and against. Abby and Kang make quite a partnership throughout the series. Even the minor characters on Abby's team are built, and developed well enough to root for. The evil bad guys are easy to root against. With some outstanding dialog this series comes out of pages like some pulp crime fiction of old. Max Allen Collins, and Denis Lehane come to mind reading Author Hutchinson's Kane trilogy. Hopefully someday Hollywood will discover these books for the silver screen. I picture actress Maggie Q. in lead role reading each book. (Even though she's way too tall). "Coit Tower" come complete with a wild car chase through the streets of San Francisco with a slight twist. Abby's driving a Dodge Challenger, and being chased by a Chasing Chinatown team in a green Mustang. Chase scene in book done very well even if "Bullit" plays in back of my mind as I'm reading. Also the game's "Mastermind" is finally revealed. I had guessed who it was early on, but that doesn't hurt book whatsoever. I got a kick out of it ! 5 Stars out of a possible 5 stars for "Coit Tower" . If you haven't discovered Ty Hutchinson and his Abby Kane series you're missing out on some really great reading. Abby Kane books are so hard to put down. Action packed suspense that reads very quickly. Check them out I highly recommend !
Perfect end to a trilogy of books. It really got to the point and honestly there was some twists in it that I did not expect at all. This book really had me hooked, it was so thrilling and gripping. Something new happening in every chapter, Abby Kane still having the bounty on her head and trying to live life without being executed by teams from Chasing Chinatown. However, when it is revealed who the mastermind was I was shocked. It was such a huge turn of events, that I had to finish the book to see what happened to this person, however, they did meet their end quite soon after it was revealed that they were the mastermind behind the game. Kane and her team manage to successfully put an end to the game and stop other innocent people from losing their lives to a sick and twisted game. I have loved this trilogy and kind of sad that it has come to an end as it was quite enjoyable despite how graphic it was at points. I loved Abby's character development also, despite being in her career years, she matured a lot within her role and was more aware of things as well as being able to think quickly on the spot in some instances, particularly towards the end of the book.
The final book in the Chasing Chinatown trilogy was exciting and there was great closure to the crime and story. Read this in one day as I couldn't put the book down! I will have to read more of the Abby Kane books very soon.
Wow -- what a roller coaster ride to this trilogy featuring Abby Kane! When the tables are turned and Abby finds herself the sole attraction in the "Chasing Chinatown" game and focused all the teams to take her out and claim the big prize, things get really antsy! Not only is Abby in jeopardy, but also her FBI team protecting her and her family as she returns to San Francisco with Detective Kang from Bangkok. The big conundrum was encountering Sei, the assassin she and Kang met and had to deal with in Bangkok. Why was she now in San Francisco and why was she turning up wherever Abby found herself. The biggest question revolves around why Sei did not set out to stop Abby and Kang from taking down the "Chasing Chinatown" game and its mastermind. Great action, great characters, great suspense. Looking forward to reading more of the Abby Kane FBI thrillers and expanding to pick up the Sei Assassin thrillers Too!
Ty Hutchinson's COIT TOWER! You will love this! Abby Kane is being hunted. With a $10 million dollar price tag on her head no less! Abby and Kyle and the FBI circle the wagons and rout out the final TEAMS in the deadly team game of killing for fun! This volume of the series will keep you glued until the final page as a last ditch effort by a TEAM that knows can not collect the reward will entice you with a street chase that is pure word genius! Kyle's friend Ethel adds a nice twist into the mix and will keep you guessing as to what is really going on!!! You want fast action, you want believable characters and vivid depiction of the City in which this takes place, Ty Hutchinson is YOUR MAN!!! You will enjoy this so much!!!
Another exciting story about Abby Kane, continuing her mission to shut down the 'Chasing Chinatown' murder game. This time she and Detective Kang are back in San Francisco, but when Abby becomes the only attraction in the game it's not going to be easy.
Maybe there have been a few to many last second saves, but it does keep the tension running high.
I have spent so many all nighters reading Abby Kane and Sei the Assassin. It’s always just one more chapter. A big thumbs up for Chasing Chinatown Trilogy. That was another 3 nights of just one more chapter. I am totally addicted to this author. I wish he could write as fast as I can read ..... maybe not as then I’d never get any sleep. Now for Kowloon Bay .....
The Mastermind is tired of the FBI interference. The game has changed. It's winner take all. The prize TEN million dollars. The Target, Agent Kane. The challenge, stage the death from a San Francisco movie scene. Read about the close calls.... Meet more Teams. Best of all The Mastermind emerges. (I'll take a pay on the back for figuring that out before the reveal. There were plenty of twists I didn't see).
Of all the Abby Kane books, this one took the longest to get through. It wasn’t an ‘every page had a turn’ kind of thriller. But I’m enjoying learning more about the characters with each book. The character building has been cool to see over this series, and I’m secretly hoping Kane and Kang somehow come together with the next one!
Can Kane and Kang Bring Down the Mastermind in Time?
Another action-packed thriller from Hutchinson, this time back on their home turf of San Francisco. With so many people trying to kill Kane, will Kang or anyone else be able to keep her safe?
An excellent thriller, with lots of twists and turns. A surprise character "SEI" comes in contact with Abby Kane. Not sure, whether this was SEI introduction or is "Snatch" her introduction series. Anyway, Chasing Chinatown series comes to an end.
What a great conclusion to the Chasing Chinatown Trilogy! I have thoroughly enjoyed my introduction to the world of Abby Kane. I will be back for more!!
Last book in the Chinatown series and it didn't disappoint. Abby is the killing game's target but it gets worse when her children become the target. This is a quick read and will keep you engaged.
I enjoyed Coit Tower much more than Lumpini Park. The story line flowed better and introduced a couple of new, interesting characters and relationships . One more to go in the 6 pack series.
This book was super good. I did not expect the ending or the continuation of more action that followed. A very good book to read. Kane and Kang make the perfect Couple in my opinion.
